Whilst the series was great, I was disappointed with the finale.
Difficult to describe without giving it away but it was such a cliched way of ending.

Look away now if you don’t wanna know!

One cop is in trouble with the madman and the madman has his head blown off by the cop’s partner (who is out of shot).

Shame cos the rest of the series was really enjoyable.

Infinity does it to me. The very big and the very small.

I used to get a recurring nightmare where everything keeps getting divided to smaller and smaller units. Took ages to snap out of that even when I’d woken up.

Vettel is a fantastic driver. He excelled in the teams he was in before he joined RB.

I’m not his greatest fan, but it’s way off the mark to say he’s only good in a good car.
You might want to believe it, but it doesn’t make it so.

Ricciardo going past Vettel too. Fab.

    Yes, two slices this time.

Sbob might have given me an idea though…

Why would society accept people taking an illogical and unproductive position on life that costs society

Because we should accept that we are risk taking machines. We smoke, we speed in our cars, we eat the wrong things, we take drugs, drink alcohol etc., etc.

Accept that, it’s biological, not logical.

Life isn’t necessarily just about living as long as possible, it’s about what YOU choose to do with it.

Personally, whilst I can see the wisdom behind mindfulness, CBT, etc., I find it very difficult to keep it at the forefront of my thinking.
It can be a good relaxation tool but find that it isn’t the key to unlocking our inherent “programming” of worrying about the future and mulling over the past.
These seem like perfect biological tools for survival of a species. I’m sceptical whether this can be changed in a forced manner.

I’m probably doing it wrong though

I disagree. Why is the choice to be fat not a valid one for today’s society?
Where does it say, being the healthiest weight you can be is the only weight that is correct?

Any bollox that says you’re a burden on society is pretty flimsy against all the other larger inequities in life.

You may live longer if you live a more healthy lifestyle but obviously we all do things for pleasure that means we possibly won’t.

It’s an odd and unwelcome trait that people seem to have to despise others who don’t fit into their world-view of how we should all look.
Why do fat people generate such hatred and disgust?

Just because being slim usually means you’re healthier than someone who is fat doesn’t mean their way of living is wrong, surely?

Nasty pieces of work some people.
What’s worse is they’re often nasty and proud of it.

So, if I’ve read this right there’s a cat with clogs on, brandishing bombers at next door neighbour’s mouse who’s having a danger(mouse)**** in the kitchen.

    Is that right?

Why wait until Sunday – There’s FP1, 2 and 3 and Qualifying before then! Tune to Sky F1 HD and lose the remote until Sunday lunchtime.

    ^This.

Can’t wait! Worth the Sky fee on its own for me. Excellent coverage.

Still loving this game. Such an improvement over GT5 wrt the car’s handling/response etc.

Gonna need a new wheel soon at this rate. Anyone own/tried the Fanatech wheels?

Not like a lot of British drivers who love to try and teach other drivers a lesson whenever the opportunity to be a self righteous bell end presents itself!

So true. Guilty of it myself at times. Pathetic really.

Unbelievable preciousness about kids and perceived health threats.

Smoking in the open air within one metre of a child? That’s it, the kid’s had it.
And he’s seen his grandad doing it? Jeez, doesn’t he realise that all kids want to copy old men, they’re so cool.

    Ridiculous nonsense.

I’ve held off reading this thread till now. All it has taught me is that if the chips on your shoulders get too big they eventually turn into blinkers.

Having kids and fitting work around them restricted our income. Our restricted income meant we couldn’t afford expensive holidays at any time of the year. Ergo, we have cheap holidays whenever our kids educational requirements allow.

We went to school often enough ourselves so that we were capable of figuring it out when we made the lifestyle choice to have kids.

Just reposting this from MCTD as it can’t be put any better.
    END OF THREAD.

I’m loving GT6. Much better feel through the wheel than GT5.
Been playing online with a mate this week – great fun.

I think that sums it up for me.

When they were ‘younger’ they had a balance of humour/information/entertainment’ now 50yr old men with big paunches, tired clothing and 16yr old public school jappery its cringeworthy.

No johhnny-come-lately haterz allowed in our club.

F1 is still full of technical innovation but these days it’s in the details rather than sweeping changes. I expect 2014 to be an interesting and unpredictable season. Can’t wait.

    +1

Really excited to see the new cars and to see how the teams will manage to juggle reliability and performance.
