Anyone who likes to make themselves feel superior by slagging it off really needs to do something more worthwhile with their lives

Worthwhile like commenting on people posting oposing views on a thread on a forum? :P

These threads are just Chrismas Pantomime, surely?

CZ, I presume you, unlike marcus7, are concerned by others opinions of what you watch.

Thanks for describing me as a **** wit.

Well done for forming your own unique opinion on the programme…..like all the others.

    Merry Chrismas Mr Ukip.

Yep, recording as well… Not even remotely concerned about what others think…

Good, cos i’m here to tell you that it’s a programme for half-wits presented by three Nigel Farage wannabees.

    Enjoy!

Is it really “annoying” or is it something else?
    I don’t get it.

If you read “there dog” instead of “their dog” do you get a puzzled look on your face, then feel the anger start to build inside you?
Or how does it affect you?

Used to bother me when i was younger and wanted to feel all superior. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest any more.
    – I feel even more superior about that

    Natural evolution of language, innit?

I reckon words like dunno, innit and wot will all make it as standard English in the future.

I’m more hopeful of seeing and end to proselytising atheists. Atheism is fine, kidding yourself that its some kind of achievement, that you’re bettered by it, and that other people would be bettered by it is just embarrassing. Any simpleton can be an atheist, even me, I find it very easy indeed. Manners however – they seem to take a bit of effort.

    Beautifully put.

Given that the BBC showed stuff like Monty Python, Young Ones, Bottom, The Fast Show, The League of Gentlemen etc, if any of those shows cropped up today as new creations I highly doubt they’d get commissioned

    *cough* bollox *cough*

I don’t get it either. Kind of a one joke show she used to have on TV “I’m really tall and I can’t get a boyfriend” ha ha ha.

“We’re a couple of hapless south london cockney traders” ha ha ha
“I run a hotel badly with a spanish waiter who doesn’t quite understand english” ha ha ha
“We’re a bunch of students living in a house being scuzzy students” ha ha ha
“We’re the clumsy, inept lovable home guard” ha ha ha

    Etc., etc.

It’s all subjective, like moosic, innit.

Plenty of examples on here (quite a few just on this page) where “fun” clearly involves driving fast.
But why don’t you give us yours?

I already did a few pages back.
A bit of overtaking, a bit of pointless accelerating, etc.
Not necessary, not making up time, just for the fun of it. I know there are people who I’ve overtaken, who are one or two cars back at the next set of lights or roundabout smugly saying to themselves, “humph, didn’t get you very far did it?”.

They miss the point. Do you?

No, I don’t think anybody is having a problem understanding that some people like having fun in cars on public roads.

I’m guessing the subtext to this is, “don’t have fun on public roads”.
I think it’s the definition of fun you may be having a problem understanding.

…Anyone who thinks utilitarianism an ‘interesting’ car is the way to a rewarding life needs shooting. (It’d be the intellectually kindest thing to do)
    beautifully put

It’s as beautifully put as, “no, you are!” Well done.

If you’re happy in your modest car, good luck to ya. Some of us prefer summink a bit more fun, that’s all.
Not too hard to understand, is it?

I have a magic formula for a safe driver..

Open showrooms that only sell two cars – one is an energy efficient, ecologically friendly vehicle, that is practical and comfortable.. The other is some kind of flash beefy testosterone substitute..

Place both cars at the same very, very affordable price..

Anyone choosing the flash motor gets taken out to the back of the showroom and fired into space from a cannon

Jeez, what a boring **** world that would be.

Would people who are not interested in driving and don’t enjoy it be less engaged and more easily distracted from the task or give it less focus in the first place?

    ^^This

“Driving god” that I am, as I said before, I enjoy having a bit of oomph, it makes it more fun.
Doesn’t automatically mean I drive like a dick.

Loving the constant snidey reference to “driving gods” too.
    Pompous much?

I like having a bit of oomph under my right foot. It’s more fun.
Whether it’s just a quick, pointless bit of accelerating or overtaking quickly, I enjoy it.

Good enough reason for me to want an above average powered car.

I often wonder on these threads why some are so passionate about this subject.
Why do we care about looking after the planet?

Not trolling, it’s just that I feel a bit conflicted with whether I do or should care about whether we continue to exist in the long term.
I can see the idea of improving things for the near future, but selfish instincts lead me to not care too much what happens in the long term.

We can try to make a better world for our children and their children etc., but how far in the future do I logically or emotionally care about?
I find it hard to have feelings about people that don’t yet exist.

None of this means I live in an anti-social, anti-enironmentalist way, but as I said I do question myself about it.
    Just me? I doubt it.

+1 for the skipping breakfast. For me its definitely the least important meal of the day.

Another +1 for that here too.
Works much better for me for weight loss. It helps that I’m never hungry in the morning though.

My ipad 3 is worse after ios8.
Mainly Safari issues – laggy, crashing, unresponsive. Not constantly, but enough to be annoying.
On 8.1 at the moment – hoped it’d be better after that but unfortunately not.

    I have a G & T almost every night.
It seems I’m missing out – just Gordon’s and Schweppes.

Will Hendricks and Schweppes taste better or do I have to have a different tonic too?

Edit – I like the taste of straight Gordon’s too – am I a filthy slut?

I wonder how much the cost outweighs the environmental concerns.

Fortunately, we can afford to keep warm, so we do. It’s something we like spending money on as comfort is something we like.

On the other hand, as mentioned above, it does give me a nostalgic glow to see such a retro website.

If Nico did it on purpose it does make a point in a similar way to other aggressive drivers like Senna or Schumacher.
It says, if we’re in a close fight on track, I will stop you from winning that fight, even if it means there will be contact.

It’s not sporting but it does make people wary when coming close to them.

The rest of the season will be interesting!

I stopped caffeine to help sort my migraines – which it has.

The other effect is that I seem to be generally lot more calm than I was. I’m more patient and less on edge.
The down side is that I sometimes miss the near-manic happy spells that caffeine gives me.

Well, I can’t work it out.

I’ve just reverted to the stock Android (HTC?) browser, turned off the pop-up blocker setting, enabled JavaScript, and I’ve been browsing the site logged out. And I still can’t replicate the issue. It’s very odd.

This is not very subtle code for “there really isn’t a problem everyone”.

But, there is. Or maybe everyone is just pranking the forum.

I had a big mac, chicken sandwich and large fries. It took 32 seconds from ordering to eating.
    Beat that!

Delicious and nutritious and now I learn that the fat won’t make me fat – I’m loving it!
