Righteous road users spend every day being indignant and stressed out.
They usually end up having an accident.

Give and take is the only logical way to travel by road.

Those cyclists were taking too much and giving nothing.

    To repeat, join your union!

If you want to do something about every company’s “obscene” pay for senior management you have to strengthen the union WHERE YOU WORK.

Or, you can continue to tut, carp and complain but remain apathetic – that’ll help get us out of this mess.

Join your union, demand more, like these people do.

Or, just bitch about the ridiculous salaries of senior management and do nothing.
Then justify your apathy by turning on workers who do demand a fairer pay deal.

    Incredible.

Had best food of my life at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir.
    Price was indecent though.

Load of cobblers – you dont use any more fuel than tick-over if you are not on the throttle, even under engine braking.
If my rpm drops from 2800 to 900 when I’m in neutral going down a hill, surely I’m saving fuel as the engine is working at a third of the rate.

Seems right to me, but happy to be corrected.

Edit: Seems to fool the car mpg readout as my trip mpg increases at a rapid rate during this long downhill.

Wow, you guys are right. Just did a bit of Googling and it turns out I’m probably using more fuel idling downhill than keeping it in gear. Interesting.

Haven’t got any but love the houses that do. I’ll definitely do it one year.

Never understand the snobbishness some people have about them.
“Oh no, they’re so tacky” – that’s the best bit about Christmas!

Just thought he deserved a “bonus” for being extra-helpful.
Doubt his employers know he’s done anything special.

Our postie has been re-delivering stuff addressed to our old house (in the same village) and is also great at leaving packages in a safe place.

We were going to give him £20. Is that about right?

Am I right to think we shouldn’t get a dog (like this) if there’s no-one at home between 8.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays?

It’s a good plan, can’t think of any problems with it.

Glad you agree, you can sign your name under mine on DDs complaint.

I’m Scottish, and anti-Scottish jokes or comments don’t offend me one bit. In fact I often make them myself.

A female family member accepts and asserts that women are worse drivers/aren’t funny/can’t read maps. Does that make her right?

I think his humour is very base, unsophisticated and crass – with his naff and tired jokes on such things as the German invasion of Poland & gay jibes. On the evolutionary comedy tree he’s not that more advanced than Jim Davidson and his Chalky jokes.

    Precisely.

His fans also often repeat what Jim Davidson’s fans used to say, “he’s only having a laugh”

Bought my Timbuk2 when I was a courier back in about 1989 and used it as a courier for 8 years.
Since then it’s been used as a fishing tackle bag and has had some heavy use.
Still going strong and still waterproof.

    They’re indestructible!

I dont doubt that global warming is happening and that mankind is contributing, but I do think we might have lost our marbles tying ourselves in knots over it. We’ve had our industrial revolution, the Chinese and Indians are going to have theirs now.

But yeh, want a cut in fuel duty? Tell me what other tax you want to pay……and by you I mean YOU, not some other sucker.

Absolutely spot on. Put it on income tax and watch everyone whine.

“I want decent services and private mode of transport. WHAT?? I have to pay something towards them? Outrageous! Get the Tories/Labour/Whoever out!”

Such a cliche, but you really don’t understand what nurses have to do until you spend some time in hospital.

Crazy upside-down thinking that they aren’t paid double what they presently earn.
Having to be caring and understanding on a daily basis, often in the face of lots of unpleasantness, needs heavily compensating.
