You could always go for a ride on your bike or meet some people?

Or like most people, do this as well as enjoying computer games and have a doubly rich life?

Presents in the evening – pah! What’s the point of a day with no one at work and everyone together with all the cool new things to play with together still in their boxes? Rubbish idea!

Dunno when your Christmas Day ends but ours goes on well into the early hours – plenty of time for play.
Opening all presents in the morning? Rubbish! 😉

“Big” present in the morning. i.e. kids main present from parents.
    All others after lunch.

It’s great to suspend the excitement of pressie opening and makes the day doubly exciting.
Loved it as a kid, love it as an adult.

In the F1 genre, for me it has to be GP2 by Geoff Crammond.

People who post “I just spat tea/coffee over my keyboard reading that!”

    No, you didn’t.

I cant help if my opinion leaves you hating your life

You must have the biggest pile of ironing to do this weekend. Doubt you’ll get through it though.

Pointless chavvy crap generally popular pursuit on council estates.

    Just my opinion though.

Yeah, do us all a favour, keep your elitist, snidey, poor-hating opinions to yourself next time?

I’m not sure if it’s an age related viewpoint, but it looks to me that increasingly bikes and motor vehicles just don’t mix well on our roads.
In my youth I spent every day riding in traffic in London. These days I’d hate to do it.

Cars are much quicker and able to accelerate faster than ever before. That increases the risk to cyclists sharing the tarmac.

It’s not right or “fair”, but the car is king and I don’t see that changing.

The point is, the CESM “joke” wore thin a decade ago.
    Tedious and xenophobic.

“Chav” – it IS used to mean poor 99% of the time and is always sneering and divisive.
Also, “Boils my piss” and “twunt” and any other twee swearing.

I did well in a small-time way at online poker years back.
That equated to grinding out about £1500 over 6 months of tediously cautious play.
It paid for a few nice things but quickly became boring, even though I was ony playing on my time off between work shifts.

I still play occasionally but often find it too boring, become reckless and inevitably lose money.

I’d love the BBC to get the full rights to show every race again.
Unfortunately it seems like that won’t happen for a while.

In the meantime, Sky have been great – especially with all the extra coverage of Practice etc.
Crofty and Brundle and Ted provide the best commentary I’ve ever experienced in F1.

Excellent coverage from Sky in their first year. Loved every minute of it.
    Roll on next year!

In all the years I’ve been driving I’ve never been dazzled or blinded by front fog lights.

I have, however, come across some right nobends who like to quote the highway code in order to prove their self-righteousness.

Anyone successfully implented the “haul turn” described in Richard Ballantine’s book?
I never dared to try it.

I’m pretty sure that most of those turning up at MaccyD’s in the evening in their Corsa/Saxo/whatever and then leaving a trail of debris along the country lanes for several miles aren’t school kids.
I regularly see kids on their way to the local secondary school, often clearly overweight, scoffing a packet of crisps, or chugging a can of liquid sugar, or stuffing a chocolate bar into their gob.

    Or to be more concise:
“I see young people being reckless and I see kids eating sweets”

Doesn’t look like anything new to me.

I once knocked a nun clean off her feet on the Euston Rd on my heavy Muddy Fox Courier.
I apologised profusely (although not my fault). She said nothing and scurried away – I felt so bad.

I’m using My Fitness Pal app to lose a few pounds before my Christmas binge eating starts in November.
I’m losing half a kilo a week for the last four weeks. Another four weeks and I’ll start stuffing my face again. Hooray!

Here’s a question for the experts:

There seems to be a secondary circuit for the central heating of the extension part of the house we moved into recently.
This means that when the wall thermstat in the living room is off the rads in the original part of the house turn off as you’d expect.
However, the extension part, which has three radiators, still stay on and the boiler continues to heat to its set temprature (68 c).
There is a secondary control valve for this circuit in the airing cupboard. There is no other thermostat in the extension.

Does this mean the only way to control the extension part is by adjusting individual rads in the extension?
And does that mean the boiler keeps heating to its set temp regardless?

    Any help is appreciated!

These days my hairdresser comes to me once every 3 weeks(!)
In London I used to go to Tino’s barber shop in Russell Square and insisted on waiting for Tino himself to cut me barnet.
    Great barber!

I’ve got this setup and the wheel is good but eventually I’ll save up for a megabucks Fanatec wheel and pedals.

    Seat and wheel

Having the seat adds a lot to the experience, but it ain’t cheap!

    Another +1 for Sky coverage.
Understand completely people not wanting to pay for Sky and hated the fact BBC lost it/decided not to continue.

However, full coverage, Brundle, Crofty, Hill, Davidson, Herbert and Georgie make it a great experience.

Wouldn’t have paid the extra for it had it been bundled with SkySports pack, but since it’s free with Sky HD I love it!
