I still think CRC have the largest range of stock and normally the best price . I spend a lot of money on bike parts , as I’m sure everyone else here does too, and their website is always my first choice . Wiggle I find very expensive compared normally but I do rate Merlin for certain items like brakes and the odd fork deal .

Wrecker the Chromag grips are all over eBay UK or try shorelines the importer .

I always thought ht11 was brought in for extended bearing life ? I didn’t think it was just about weight ?

I feel sorry for the bidders if they haven’t realised ! Although its a perfect reason to get refunded I guess .

But you are comparing nearly a two litre car with a one litre . My Gf 1.2 corsa is way better around town than my merc but not as good on a long run as its revving too high at 70-75.

i cannot understand how the mpg between the two is so widly different on long journeys but closer artound town? On a normal legal speed driven run my 1.8 kompressor gives me around 48-50 mpg , steady foot and no hard acceleration but around town it sinks to 27-30, which i think is about right. My other car, a 1.9tdi gives me about 60 on a run but easily 40 around town even driven with not much concern for the consumption so it leads me to think that a diesel is better around town and a petrol catches back up on a longer steady run.

As I said earlier , on long runs the difference in mpg between petrol and diesel isn’t that great but on shorter journeys a diesel is significantly better .

Short traffic dense journeys are supposed to be a diesels forte .

I have used TT for a year , never again . They had the worst CS I’ve ever come across and their broadband speed was lower than my mobile phone . I had the problem looked into on various occasions and the ultimate answer was the router . I had to pay around £60 , if I recall , for a new one but if it proved not to fix it then I would have to “fight” their words , for a refund . I have never been happier slating a more useless , incompetent , harassing , totally unhelpful bunch of tw***s !

It will work as I’ve done it in many a magura , you actually ” overfill” the system and when I last did it , with a 6mm Allan key I had to let some fluid out to get the disc back in ! So maybe 6mm was too adventurous :)

I’ve been curtain walling for longer than I care to remember and have trained up many unfortunate apprentices !

My brother inlaw owned one of the first g60 rallye golfs and I always thought it was a bit sluggish and he had a fair few probs with it , eventually got rid for a R5gt turbo . The vw was solid and nicer inside though .

^^^^^ good handling ? Compared to what ? An ocean liner ?

I would also consider safety as a factor , especially in Navaras as I’m sure they only got 3 stars for adults which in my mind is very poor for nowadays .

I just christened my new , to me , intense 5.5 around the local lake , all good apart from dodgy front brake bleed . First time in clips for 15-20 years too and it all came back , just like riding a bike ;)

From this post I’m getting the impression that using spd’s can be a skills compensator ? I’m about to try them this wks after many years on flats .

I’d agree with Ampthill there, and please just listen to the people that have actually lived in or about here as its so easy to slag off where people live with no real knowledge like some of the ass ole comments above. I’m mobile with my work , rent at the moment so have no ties, and I still choose to live in MK even though its 50 odd miles from where I’m working at the mo. it has some beautiful parks, lakes, walks , not bad shopping , good fast roads, some very expensive lovely estates, and its rough ones, but almost all my friends/workmates/ family that eventually come here to visit like the area after I’ve shown them the attractions. I really can’t see you being disappointed when you come here , and don’t forget to let us all know so you can be shown the local trails :)

Yes Netherfield isn’t one of the nicer places but has some good areas surrounding it . I used to live in Downhead Park near the canal, great place to walk your dog .

I’ve lived here in various areas for 10 odd years and I love it , having lived in Scotland, Wales , Watford etc . Avoid the mentioned areas , I’m in Walnut Tree now , and I’m sure you will end up agreeing :)

I loved my hope tech 2’s but I think it’s that huge initial bite the new xt’s give that people like and relate to .
