Yodel?? They left a spesh enduro frame outside my front door, I live on a busy street, and unsurprisingly it went missing. A neighbour told me after that he had seen an object covered in cardboard on my front mat. When I complained they stated I had signed for it but the silly bast has forged the wrong name !!! After weeks of hassle and blank stares and disinterested staff I eventually lost it and the seller vanished so I was £350 out of pocket. I wouldnt p on them if they were on fire !

I watched it at the wkd and loved it. My best film of the year that I’ve seen. I am a huge LOTR fan and I really enjoy the way the Hobbit films carry me back into that world.

I had one years ago and it was OK but nothing to get too excited by. I guess it all depends on how much money you like to sink into watches. They are at the cheaper end and I think they mainly look it too.

I’ve got the older model with non quick release clamps. I must of built 30+ bikes on it and for home use its absolutely fine .

I’m not anti any bike but then I’m not convinced that pure speed/koms equate to more fun. Try the koms on a downhill track ;)

I’ve got four 26 bikes and my riding buddy just bought a new spesh 29, a camber maybe? I rode it for one long ride around woburn and couldn’t wait to get back on mine. It felt high, awkward and gate like and turned like it had a flat tyre. I hated it. So try before you buy is my advice. He also prefers mine as well and is gutted he fell for the hype.

I’m running 4.4 on my s4 for the past month and it’s very fast glitch free apart from whatsapp not liking it.

I had a v12 one a few years back, cranberry red and cream leather. When it ran well it was OK but still not as quick as you’d imagine. Nice car for medium paced journeys but mine eventually set itself on fire coming back from Norfolk one Sunday and I watched it until it stopped then drove it home the last hour with not much working electrical wise and left it at the scrappers. Never ever will I sink my own cash into an old jag again !

I used my one in MK for about about 2 months and I thought it was good value but the weight training stations, as in particularly the shoulder press very poor to work with and the free weight area always very very busy and I hate waiting on equipment. If your going for aerobic training though it really is a bargain I think.

Id buy a cheap off the classifieds 26 so all your bits fit then ride it in the bad weather/conditions until your new one turns up. Even ride the cheapy until it gets nice again to keep your new frame for better conditions :)

I have had most of the different types of brakes and still have avid, shimano, and Hayes. they all stop me well but my Acids, a 2013 set of Codes are probably the best brakes I’ve ever had and my shimanos are brand new Saints which are good but don’t feel as nice.

The flared hollow tube headset removers are a good idea to use yes. In my experience they cause less damage. To install a headset you can use a flat block of wood and a hammer and some patience making sure you knock it in straight and level or Google homemade headset press. It’s very cheap and easy to make and use.

I’ve had 2 pairs over the last year both trouble free and look great on any bike I’ve put them on.

I really tried to like it as was told it was good but in the middle of the second season it is just so slow it puts me to sleep.

I know it’s a sit down and granny bike up hill but I was hoping a lighter front end would make it feel more poppy. If you know what I mean?

To be honest I use the bike for Woburn which is nothing extreme but I love the bike even though I know it’s an odd build in parts. The only reason I fitted the totems was when I was building the bike up they were available and reasonably priced! Looking back now I should of waited for some lyriks or 36’s but I’m in a better monetary position now and I was very disappointed with the nose heaviness but definitely not the stiffness of the forks! I think I will hunt out some decent 36’s or air lyrics.

Thanks guys I have nobby nics on it at the moment so I will look into the weights etc. And yes I do have the forks shortened to 160mm.

I dont understand the hate for avids. I bought a set of 2013 codes and they are the best brakes ive ever tried. Thats after a few hope tech pairs and shimano deores/xt and saint m820 on my other bike. They are super strong with lovely modulation and look good too :)

One reason is I personally think dropper posts are way too expensive for what they are and they should be fairly ready to produce a lot cheaper. So far I’ve been proved right as it isn’t a lot different from my old gd but a third of the price.
