I’ve not managed to get one yet but I do think they are the best looking fs bikes out there.

I’ve had just many many alfas over the years ending in a 3.0 lusso 166. I love them but I am at the point now where I cannot see the point in the very expensive repairs and niggles and having to keep on top of it all when the drive of them is not that impressive anymore. I love their looks and certain parts of their interiors but there is a reason they are dirt cheap second hand. I would buy another knowing that the little I have spent is almost throw away when it hits you with the big alfa bill.

I guess his point is that it wasn’t that long ago the hype was huge and now lots are being sold off.

Sounds good to me :) I will be servicing it around the same mileage, 6 odd thousand as I do my old merc I used before.

well to resurrect this thread thanks for the advice guys as i ended up getting a 2005 aero estate for such a price i couldn’t say no. Full service history but 140000 miles and last service was a grand !! we shall see how reliable it proves as i do mega mileage a week .

not being an expert but i would let him settle in then slowly change his name to a nickname you like which is close to the original name. My dog is 11 now and has at least 5 names but he responds to them all, especially as he knows it will probably benefit him!

any of the latest android phones from Lg and htc have faster chips more ram and usually a better screen. at this stage its all about subtle improvements not huge leaps now. I just replaced an S4 with a Sony Ultra Z just for the size difference and the superior quality feel. Although it is just still a phone……albeit a bloody huge one !

My ex brother in law built one without thinking about the water seepage and he ended up never using it as it filled about 6 inches very quickly and rendered it useless.

Check your debit card details as I’m sure mine has similar refund policy to a credit card now.

To be honest it’s more show than go. The original spoiler was very low and discreet but I changed it years ago for this one as the high wing track look was very much the in thing. Now I feel its a little to showy.

I think I’m going to remove it today and see what the smooth look looks like.

you must have enough thread above the 10mm nut to hold with some soft grip pliers while you undo the nut off the bottom of the shaft thread? when you do this gently work the nut back and forth until it eases itself off the end of the thread. Don’t force anything and you should be fine.

I’m taking it that the 10mm nut hasn’t come off completely but at the end of the thread it jams and starts spinning the shaft instead?

try to hold the upper part of the exposed thread with some soft grips and see if you can remove the 10mm nut the rest of the way.

The doss is very well built, if not over built. The action is smooth if a little fast on the return. The lever is large as most reviews state but I really like the dual lever set up and the size of it is excellent if you have big hands or are wearing gloves. Overall it’s a quality bit of kit.

I’ve got two reverbs one Ks lev and a fox doss. the Ks lev wins easily in my year odd of using all three.

I’ve got a Wahoo one for my gf’s old 3gs and it seems very stable and waterproof etc. I’m sure they make one for your model iPhone too.
