I’m on android and I get the audi rubbish as well. Some days the ads go all over the screen but the last couple of days it’s calmed down. It’s just poorly written .
Every time someone talks about cb wheels that stupid article gets posted by whoever teamrobot are . I’ve had three sets of their wheels now, two new and one second hand off here with zero troubles. They look great and perform the same with the only weak link their uniqueness so you can be caught out if you haven’t got spare spokes while out riding. That’s not too hard to sort though really with a bit of forward thinking.
@ PeterPoddy i agree 100% . I’ve had a 2005 boring c class 1.8 petrol for over four years now that gives me well over 40 on a run and hasn’t missed a beat in 90000 miles. So as you can guess I’m a little bit of a merc fan now and not a beemer lover .
i bought a 2004 BMW 330d touring with 150000 on the clock thinking a big diesel should handle it easily. Six months later it needed new injectors at over £450 each at BMW ( obviously 6 of them). car was basically a write off but ended up getting non Bmw pattern ones for 1800 all in. So no at your mileage you should be fine but be wary of going any higher as the bills can be huge.
The front is a simple pull off and check and the rear is too on the non drive side. I’ve found the drive side unscrews and then removes. I think the wheels are excellent for the money with adaptable hubs.
I might be in the minority here but after a few months of oo fatty ownership I just found out both my hubs are convertible to 12 mm rear and 15 front with the supplied adaptors.
when i built my rolling chassis i had trouble with the tyres not seating evenly into the rims and giving the wheel an egg shape when spinning. i inflated them up to around 40-50 psi and they eventually sat correctly after i bashed them down on the floor on the high spots. not troubles since and still not trouble with my qr.’s either.
New road bike, fatbike, full suss yeti, ibis tranny h/t, chromag stylus h/t and last but not least Salsa spearfish full suss 29er. And yes my house is full ;-) ( I need to shift some)
My sister had one and hated it, poor build with interior trim coming off and the most boring drive ever according to her. Then my partners nephew bought a new one last month due to growing family and he hates it too. It sucks the life out of him and he wished he never bought it.
Campbell park is far from dull it’s large with a very steep side that runs basically the full length of it so it’s not like he has to work with a flat dog poo ridden one.
My bike came with Mavic cpx22 rims which I think are bargain basement but acceptable so I’m hoping excessive rim wear won’t be too much of a problem. Those R451 look ok but I’m amazed a set of ultegra brake callipers are so affordable on the bay so I might add a little bling to my new £250 ride :-)
I’m just learning how to measure the drop so when I’ve got that sorted i will check ebay for some bargains, i hope. Mtb disc brakes are much simpler ! thanks guys .
