I saw that too but Googled it and couldn’t find any info on it a few weeks ago.

the riding is fine i was there this week three times already. The parking doesn’t close and its right by a road that you can park on anyway. Permit wise at night you will be fine and if caught its about a fiver now but its worth it.

Google how to do it without a bleed. It’s not difficult as I’ve done it a few times. You take out the pads, pump the lever a few times to bring out the pistons and then do the cutting etc. Always hold the hose upright and when done gently push the pistons back into their bores and this pushes fluid back up to the reservoir and should shift the air to the top . you will need two olives and barbs. Although it is very simple and take your time.

I’ve used a crossbar and a dropper all the way to Wales from MK many times with no issues. Make sure the bike is tied down and doesn’t sway too much. Nothing you wouldn’t do anyway.

Another recommendation for Thursdays shirts. A couple of days from ordering and I’m wearing it. Feels good and fits well.

I’ve had one for 2 years. It’s on my other bike so hasn’t had too much abuse but it never fails and is something I just forget about. The return is fast and they are pressure sensitive but IMHO better than the reverbs I’ve had that gave up on a regular basis. Oh and they are way cheaper in Germany.

Ah ok . With boost it should be able to take 3.0 I would think.

The scotts are boost as well as the Tarn.what size rubber can you comfortably fit in the Sonder Essexbiker?

That’s good news as I would like to buy cheaper and upgrade as I go with the bike and the only thing about the cheap ones was the forks to be honest.

I was wondering about the suntour forks on the lowest spec bikes. Anyone know if they are junk or worth keeping?

Don’t do the park tool 3.2 . I bought one and first use the screws holding the body together fell out, Googled it and it’s a common problem, leaving me with a pile of bits. I used longer screws to put it back together but it’s now stiff and rubbish. First and last time for those tools.

If you go front suspension then the options open up enormously.you can then always add some rigids later if you feel like it.

I’ve been wondering about a plus bike for some time now. I test rode the Stache 7 and thought it felt like a bus compared to my fatbike. I’m hoping someone has tried a 650+ with positive results so it makes me push the buy button.

The Lesser Dead by Christopher Buelhman. A very gritty vampire story . Just finished his other book Those across the river and it was brilliant.

So far only one person says mtb and that’s not their only choice. That’s interesting on an Mtb forum.

Too much work, stress and poor diet can and will cause havoc. Good luck getting to the bottom of it mate and chin up things never stay the same .

Re merc having poor build quality is bollox.I’ve had a 05 plate for 7 years now and taken it from 30000 mile to 130000 with no issues at all. Has flown through all mot’s with nothing but tyres and brakes needing done. I’ve now gone a bit bigger but it’s still sitting on my drive as when I come to sell it I can’t bring myself to . It’s part of the family to me

It’s bad mate but on the dry bits it was great ?

I seem to have quite a bit of room in there I think. At least enough to maybe go 2.4 with a largish tyre. It’s all because I ran a 650b+ set up in it last week and really liked it but it dropped the bb too much so I was hoping for a bit more squish in there .

After easily fitting the TB on Dt Swiss 535 rims on my camber evo 29er I tried on my Shan 917. Too tight at the back which I pretty much guessed at. Then I put them on my 2souls slim jim and they fitted with room to spare with a Dt Swiss 29er fork. I might even go 3.0 on the front but tight on the back.

Yes I do prefer the red but I’m lefty curious as it’s been 20 years since I had one. If I’m correct I think they are boost free so should be easy to run 29ers I there or is the fork boosted?

Thanks Ramsey Neil it’s my preferred plus bike and I’m hovering over the buy button. Now which one , the 1 or 2?

I’m running TB on 30mm rims with no issues and I’m your weight, I was thinking about trying purgs too. @ramseyneil how are you liking the Beast? its on my wishlist.

Just put a nn2.8 and tb 2.8 on 27.7 external dt swiss rims into a new 29er camber evo and I’ve got so much room I could of gone straight to 3.0 ‘s. As I’m using a fairly narrow rim would going to say a 34mm external rim widen out the tyres noticeably or would it be a waste of money on new wheels?thanks.

I was ummimg and arring over a cannondale beast of the east but I wasn’t aware of any reputation that they had in the UK. What’s wrong with them ? Genuine question.

I had this a little while ago. I emailed about a colour I wanted and waited a week for a reply. In the end I sent them an order with the closest RAL colour I could find and I received the decals.

Well they are currently laying flat with loads of stans in. Fingers crossed and thanks for all the advice.
