No there is no shim. It’s a reverb stealth almost as low as it will go. Glad I didn’t go for a large frame now. And Merlin were excellent as usual. It didn’t come with a rear maxle and they sent one no questions asked.

You need the same amount of spacers back in again. When the stem is slid back down the fork steerer it needs a minimum of 3mm from the top edge of the stem proud of the top of the steerer. That gives you the room to tighten it all down and not clamp it up too tight . Which is what you areally doing when not using the fourth spacer.

They come up a little more expensive as I’d need the tools to get inside and lower them to 150mm. It’s a ball ache that special tools are needed to do such a simple job.

I’ve done 40000 miles in a new transporter diesel in just over 6 months and I specced the 7 speed dsg. My experience of it is lag on initial acceleration from junctions and often it get confused on long downhills and holds a lower gear which is a bit loud. It does its job as in its easier for the miles but for a small hatch like a polo I wouldn’t have it.

I have an original Chromag stylus that I used to run with a Hammerschmidt and it was/is a lovely ride.

I’ve owned many many classic yanks and they all have a character about them that makes most modern cars seems a little sterile. The mustang was never considered the originator of the muscle car era. You can look at the early chrysler 300’s or the 64 goat for that. It was however cheap , good looking and available with so many options that anyone could drive it from a straight six up to a 289 originally. Later cars got bigger and heavier, as did most muscle cars in the race for horsepower, and most agree that it lost its way around 72. The fox platform in the late 80’s and early 90’s is when they came back again with the 5.0. Still cheap if you want bang for buck.

And yes I did live out my own bullit scene.

@ Davidtaylforth I think they both look great but the Shan wins for me. Beautiful colour scheme but not really clean. No bike with suss forks and gears can look clean.

The genesis latitude copying the Shan 917 but not doing it anywhere near as well.
