I was there last week and know it well. Felling isnt affecting any routes really especially the red trail. Lovely conditions and well worth the ride. Comes up around 7 ish miles on the red trail but lots more to add and i easily make 13 out of it. Im very impressed so far as you can probably tell. I will be there in the morn so if you see a blue helmetted Gt rider say hi 🙂

As has been said, they must ride lovely as all the reviews state but it’s the companys attitude that I’ve read about so much on so many threads that stops me from ever giving them money. I’m always concerned as well that if you bought one and fancied a change , as I always do, who would buy an evil second hand ??

Hopefully no-one will get ripped off with it.

I’ve got overall times to do my local loop on strava. My fastest time is on my farley and the other bikes are a 29 and 650b plus hardtail, 650b full suss, a 29er and a 650b hardtail. The margin was nearly two minutes.

Tricky one this. I had a friend who lived at the beginning of my road years ago. He left after his mostly drunken neighbour started the same sort of stuff. Months later my friend and I were outside my house playing with my car when the old neighbour came out and started hollering etc down the road at my friend. Whatever way you deal with it it has to be dealt with now properly.

I’ve had similar in the past on other bikes and they have been a male and female connection . One bolt does up into the other. So it’s hold both at the same time and undo. They might be tight due to threadlock compound and or age.

I slightly sanded both faces of the wheel and the spacers and super glued them on. I’m not using the wheels on anything else although they are easy to remove with a quick tap. No problem with chainline at all as it is only 3mm . Ive only ridden it around the block but it feels like a normal modern 29er.

I’ve got similar to the top one and it works well.

That’s what I’m finding to be honest. Maybe I will go frame and forks only and swap some bits over.

No lol it’s 5 or 600 🙂 I might have left I too late as I’m off next week. I’ve scoured pb and eBay but am struggling.

Your the second person who has recommended one of those. It’s creeping up my list.

I tried this last week on my farley and I’m buggered if I can get the tyres back up as they are so loose on the rims that I cannot seat them. That’s with a track pump, no chance, and an airshot.

    I’m 5/11 ish and ride the 19.5-actual 18.5 with a 50mm stem and it’s spot on.

The Tarn did get good reviews so if your not 29+ curious you won’t go far wrong.

I’ve tried a few and the trek stache is a good ride and very versatile with three wheel size choices.

    Front wheel prepped.

    In place and lines up.

The rear was the same and as easy. I will have to adjust the mech for the 3mm when I ride it later.
Trek stache 7 with normal 29er wheels . Plenty of clearance as you could guess. Is also much lighter now.

No dishing as it just centres the wheel with equal spacers and then brings out the disc to suit.

Every review I’ve read online or from riders on here are glowing.

Well I’m in the area for a week so it’s just over an hour to cyb so I can go back to my favourite place if I need to. If it’s that flat then I will be going too. And I don’t actually have a red one!

I’ve trained for 30 odd years at my own smaller level and think bodybuilding is fantastic. In my limited time to either train or ride the training normally wins. The pump after and the feeling of strength is hard to beat so for those guys with their ability it must be very very addictive.

I used a guy from the states on eBay. He machines up the spacers and the disc spacer too and supplies longer stronger rotor bolts all in. I’ve bought front and rear for crank bros wheels in a boost stache frame. He’s called mtb tools. Seems like a nice guy .

Im using a forerunner 230 after not likimg the weight and bulk of a fenix 3. Does all i need for my biking and lasts days on one charge. Its so light i can hardly feel it.
