I’ve got a newish GT sensor for about 7 months with the I drive and I haven’t had that issue yet. Just guessing Kane must do seriously more miles than me !
I had one for about 6 months and found it too big and bulky on the bike as it kept sliding down my wrist and into my hand. Good bit of kit but sold it on and have a 230 now which does all I need , hr and upload to strava but is half the weight and the battery lasts forever.
I quite like it. It’s already a grower and the bb is the only weak choice. Boost etc is neither here nor there as i already have that standard. Dirt definitely seem to rate it. I’d love to ride one flat out, well my flat out !
I really dislike road bikes and the whole roady elite culture so gmbn for me as it’s one of my sports and Martin is very very funny and always makes me laugh somewhere in the video. What we need is a separate place for road riders and then we can have a sole MTB section.
I’ve had a couple of 4 inchers and loved them . Now I have a trek with 4.8 and love it more even on normal forest ( woburn) trails. It really is a personal thing. No one can say one is better than another. Try both if you can and see what you think.
I did this exact thing a few years ago and bought a lovely 911. Always wanted one and enjoyed it immensely for a year then got bored and sold it. I’ve now been there and done that but it’s good to get it out of your system.
I have this most days as I live directly opposite a school. I have come home to find people parked on my drive with their bumper up to my front door. My drive is constantly blocked and the school passes the buck and the local councillor says she can’t help. I think parents with kids in cars at picking up time are probably the lowest scum you can possibly meet.
The caps are 3mm thick so no issues with stiffness at all and the 3mm offset on the chain line is easily remedied. I’ve been running it on trek stache with zero issues. I’ve so got the kit for the print as well which works the same.
I’ve got the above MTB tools kit. Works a treat and fits in minutes with no dishing so the wheels can be used easily on different bikes if needed. The end cap spacers falling out every time is easily sorted with a little roughing up and a dab of super glue.
When I was younger my neighbour designed the wing mirrors for the lotus Carlton. He got a new one almost before they were available and he constantly had issues with the brakes. No one seemed able to sort the problem out ( whatever it was) so in the end he gave it back.
A new rs monarch rc3 plus rear shock, new pike 29er forks, new offset bushings, new cables and headset spacers and finally new pedals. And finally finally a headset.
