I like that Torgoen. Just been browsing through their website. Some nice watches on there.that video link made me smile. Lucky guy .

Thanks. I never realised there was so much to it. So many makes I like. I’ve seen a christopher ward motorsport inspired watch that looks good for not much but it’s got a Swiss quartz movement and my whole reason was to buy a mechanical second hand medium quality watch. I’ve spent most of this wet wkd watch searching and learning.

It’s always intrigued me as to how good some fakes are when people are asking £200+ and stating they have swiss movements etc.

Haha @ gofasterstripes. Mine are cheap basic ones 🙂 I am finding it’s a minefield with so many makes and what is good to buy and what is considered junk. Now I know what a newbie on here feels like with the ” what new bike for £?” threads.

Thanks guys lots of new makes to have a look at that I never knew about. Righog I have two smart watches already.

I’ve just seen a gshock for £1400. That confuses everything!! I still like certain Tags. Carrera and monza and of course monaco. Even been looking at uboat which look a nice watch.

Thanks for the suggestions but I’m finding I much prefer chronos to diver style watches.I do agree about the prices , nothing even remotely nice is near my budget.

How does this thread end up here? This place is full of nut jobs.

I had a mk1 in green. Built up with 120mm and I loved it. It was a medium which was a tad small at my height but it felt like a springy bmx and I miss it. A great all rounder.

It’s not flaunting. No one will see it under sleeves and gloves. I want one as I miss owning one and I am intending to look after it. I know my work and I’m not exactly in demolition.

I have a couple of smart watches and like them. I did look at the tag connected but it seems to miss out on a lot of activity functions, especially for a sporty watch.

I do miss my monaco. I’ve found one for less than a grand but it’s not in the best shape and the seller won’t commit to papers etc. Thanks for all the suggestions so far .

Ive got a gshock and a few other watches like that but I have the urge to get another nice one. I agree on the rubber strap as I’m very active during the day . I’ve looked to the sea masters and they are quite nice. Any other suggestions welcome as I’ve very out of touch with what is a good buy and what isn’t and I know there are quite a few knowledgeable people on here. I can and will protect it at work, it’s just when I had my monaco I was so worried about scratching it that it ended up in the drawer all the time. This time I want to spend a little less and actually enjoy it for a change.

I was looking at their website just yesterday and it seems they haven’t made anything new for a long while. I used to like their stuff but am wondering if they are in trouble.

A pair of pikes would go lovely with that.

I had a Huawei honor note 8 with USB c. Best phone I’ve ever had. Wish I hadn’t got rid now for a galaxy 7 edge. No where near as good.

The trail is about 7.5 miles long so not too tiny. The felling has shortened it a bit but there is so much other riding available that you can go on for hours.

I’ve read many times that bike companies advise to use it where necessary. Grease and carbon seem to get along fine.

I bought mine from crc. Straight pull non boost just under £400.

I’ve just bought the Hope 40mm external tech rims on sp hubs. My 2.8 tyres fill out lovely on them and they are typical hope quality. Fitted a treat in my Banshee Prime. Very happy with them. I might go 3.0 in the future as I have enough room but I’m going to try 2.8 for a little lighter package and see how they are. I didn’t think they were too expensive either .

I drove a 2013 long wheelbase high top for two years from new. Rust appeared in the middle of the side and door panels . I still have no idea how it can appear there where there are no seams etc. They handle well but the seats kill after a while. I’d avoid.

I’d agree with ehrob. I just built up my 2016 prime and on my first ride I beat my overall strava times without thinking about them. It does crush whatever is in front of it and just want to fly. You’d be forgiven for thinking it had 160mm at the back. It’s the plushest fastest most silent ride I’ve ever had. And yes it probably works best on more demanding trails.

Report him on pb. They take this kind of stuff quite seriously.

Thanks chakaping I’ve got a sensor modified with a bigger shock running 150mm so that’s a bit close to it. I’m figuring out a scott voltage might fit the bill.

Anyone got any opinions on the mondraker prayer 180mm? Found a good one but can’t find any reviews on it.

Thanks chakaping I will have a look. I’ve found a radon swoop but it’s the 190 model and I’m guessing it’s for more dh.

Thanks onzadog. My frame is 50mm at its widest part. I’m not sure it would fit even though it’s the shock I prefer.is that 50mm at the shaft end of the can or the eyelet end? As it’s only about 40mm of the can that inserts into the frame. Thanks.

It’s a carbon gt sensor and the shock slides into a tunnel created by the seat tube . My fox ctd is roughly 42mm . Thanks guys.

I swap my stache around from 29+ to 650b+ to 29er and like the ride on all three.

I wouldn’t be happy riding that. Surely that needs a new seat stay now?
