Mmm, well I quite like the look of that. Always nice to see a few new ideas being tried.

Not sure about the “integrated front mech” though…

Yeah – I was going to post up about this. No need now 🙂

Wow. Thanks to the op – an amazing film of an amazing, if slightly insane man! Fascinating and heart wrenching.

Shame about all the self righteous, judgemental crap on here but you get used to that after a while.

Real disappointment not to see Brad in Welshpool this morning. The sky team seemed generally a bit half arsed tbh. Last out of their bus, really quick signing session then bobbing from the start line to the bus and back during the delayed start. It’s gutting if he is really ill but you have to wonder after yesterday’s performance and the world champs looming…

Still, good to see Cav in the rainbow stripes leading them out.

I’ll probably nip down to Welshpool, although the first KOM climb at Kerry may be more exciting………hmmmm!

Fair enough. Thanks for the info. Guess I’ll leave them then.

These were the x-trails, not x-tremes, Bloomin autocomplete!

Really? Rubbish! Good offer on at the mo but only up to size 46. Although they do claim that’s a UK 11.5 which bit odd.

I made my own removal tool using an old metal tent post, then installed the new on with a vice and a couple if bits of wood. You need to be careful but not That careful.

Hmm, that doesn’t sound very good (the service, not the dog!). Having said that she’ll probably be fine and should settle. Feel free to drop me an email if she doesn’t.

I assume the unavailability of your vet is your choice rather than your vet’s (not being funny but just making sure you know all vets have to provide a 24hr service).

As for the cystitis, it’s unusual in a bitch that young but there could be infection/inflammation somewhere round there. Don’t really like Internet diagnoses but what is she doing that worries you?

Yup – got all the stuff I ordered. £225 worth for £80! I was especially surprised to actually receive the 2013 Turbulence shorts at 65% off – not complaining though 🙂

Another vote for maverick here. Used in NZ and it’s surprising how much trail detail there is in some if the opensource mapping available. Very easy to use too.

From my recent experience in the Alps, I would say it definitely quietens things down a lot (to the point where other more subtle noises start irritating you – cable chatter etc 🙂 ) and it has some effect on chain stability but no, it certainly doesn’t stop the chain coming off completely.

That’s with an e13 dual guide and 2×10 too.

Just to add another option for current BOS owners. James from J-Tech has just started offering servicing on most BOS stuff. I’m glad as I’ve just stuck a Vip’r on and the only thing putting me off the Devilles was the difficulty/expense of servicing.

Early 2011 model hammered in all that welsh/alpine/Scottish weather can give and no problems here…. Yet (touches lots of wood!)

There seems to be a fair range of backpacks at around 50% off RRP.

A few outspoken folk on here got a bit shirty when people linked to the site with their referral ID*, so earned a bit of money if/when folk ordered. I think the flood of PSA’s lead to some getting removed for a while. Seems to have calmed down now though…

Shame no “reserves” seem to have made it on the start list, despite quite a few folk dropping out. Ah well, I’ll probably pop down and cheer-lead for a bit.

Oh my word. I haven’t heard this stuff since I was about 15! Great memories – I feel a Deezer download session coming on 🙂

Lucien – thanks for the info but, unfortunately, the shop page only has the photo’s from the guy on the blue track down into the resort (off the race route). Gary Perkin doesn’t seem to have done much photograophy anywhere this year if his website’s anything to go by.

I’m hoping something will turn up on the FB site but nothing so far.

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like there should be plenty to ride without having to try too hard? I was just worried it may be more like Les Arcs where the way-marked routes are very average compared to the “off piste” stuff.

I’ve just picked up a Giro Feature. First helmet I don’t have to run on the largest setting (Xen was on biggest for me). Quite basic adjustments but looks good and fits well.

The worse the weather gets, the more I enjoy Coed y Brenin – that’s the best bit about the place. You can pretty much guarantee a good ride whatever the conditions. I was there sunday and had great fun riding down streams :).

Penmachno is similar but as you say, you don’t really want to be on the top of loop 2 in a storm.

    Anybody received these yet

Mine arrived this morning. Top merlin service again. Fitted it but not ridden yet.

Not sure. I’ll tell you in a few weeks 😉

Only ones I can see in theory are slightly heavier shifting and a bit more of a faff to remove wheels. Oh, and the enevitable sinking feeling halfway down a run when you’ve forgotten to engage the mech 🙂

Ive used a 9spd chainset on a 10spd with no problems so I assume the reverse is possible…

Oh, and only £72 with TCB.

As mentioned above, try to make sure whatever you get has an output of at least 1amp, especially if you want to use the satnav. Otherwise it really doesn’t matter. I got a cheap usb adapter from ebuyer that works just fine.
