    down here in the south east(essex directly opposite Holland funnily)we have quite a few beach almost the same as the one in the vid which is why i keep wanting a fat bike 8O :D

    did one a couple of years ago in bucks did the long route was very good well placed feed stations route was good and start and finish well sorted out been meaning to do another one just been a bit busy last few years

    +1stealthcat had a mole on my leg checked all ok 6months later still not happy with mole went back this time it was skin cancer but in time had mole removed plus 1.25cm of surrounding flesh 5year on have a very intresting scar/divot in my left leg and no feeling in shin area of same leg but you know what still here and all clear so

    GO GET CHECKED

    feefoo think you might have got that a bit wrong there as if your a man driving a people carrier it usally means you’ve got more than the average 2.4 children so balls have had quite a work out and not in the wifes handbag(unless thats your pet name for it) :D

    breadcrumb going to be using a pair of Animal skate shoes and DMR V8s to start with, Prezet and Jedi thanks for the advice kinda things i need to remember to do.

    60 min drive will get you down to my neck of the woods Colchester have a good few woods here that link up to make up the firday woods miltary training grounds open to the public so long as the red flags aren’t flying not bad riding a few hills nothing big the big plus is that because it’s MOD land if you spot a trail you can ride it :wink: if you want a guide e mail me.

    took my 26er ss with me when we went for a family wedding down in oakhampton 2years ago was told by quite a few on here that it would all end in tears but know what it was ok got up onto the moor a few times during our 2 week stay and yes there was some pushing but thats all part of the fun as far as iam concerned :D

    p.s i live in north Essex not know for its big hills :wink:

    kimbers sorry to here that only advice i can offer is whats worked for me and thats update c.v and fire it off to everyone that is in your field of work even if there not activly advertsing you never know after that find the agencys that recruit in your field and get your c.v to them and hit the web looking as far as agencys go found that its good to keep on at them every couple of day for “updates” as it stops them “forgtting you” good luck got my fingers crossed for you :-)

    bump just been for my 2nd interview of the week and got another one tomorrow and have been offered the job i went for today and iam waiting to hear back on the one i went for on monday so looks like i might have a bit of a prob as the one i went for on monday is the one i would like but they havn’t offered it to me yet but should know by friday and ive got till friday to let todays one know.
    on the plus side todays is round the corner from my house so ride to work but money is not quite as good as ive been used to but ho humm if someone had said to me last monday that i would be stuck with this problem less than two weeks later i wouldn’t have belived them :-)

    bump just thought i would let everyone know i’ve got my first interview on Monday and looks like i fit the critrea for the job down to the ground so wish me luck and thanks for all the support :-)

    p.s been out for damn good bike ride to day so what with the news feel very positive.

    forklift service engineer with exp in plant(diggers,dumpers etc) as well,live in Colchester in Essex updating c.v. as we speak and iam going to fire it off to a few firms that might be looking,beyond that **** knows got a bit of savings that should keep wolves from the door for about 5months.

    premier subscriber like the mag since thr relaunch the only bike mag i read used to read mbr but got very annoyed :evil: with the way one certain brand won every test :evil: picked up a copy singletrack in smiths that month 3years later still think it covers the types of riding that iam more intrested in :D

    about 10 to 20% water add a little at a time when you reach a level that you like then thats you’re sweet spot 8)

    took our 2 year old on his first aerolane trip this year only 2 1/2hr flight,airline were quite happy for him to sit in normal seat with normal belt so long as we sat either side of him to supervise him

    i note that they lived in Frinton a town so backward that up until recently didn’t have a pub as it would ruin the town’ this place also had a sign on the train station that said Harwich for the continent which someone added frinton for the incotinent :D

    +2 for roof trusses keep an eye out for cheap/free planks to use as shelves up in the trusses allows you to keep small stuff up there thus free more space for important stuff(bikes,fridge,flat inner tubes etc :wink:

    all of the above +100 and be prepared for the addictive rush that comes about from your first close encounter with wild animals in the woods in the dark(scary at first then strangley good fun once you relise that they mean you no harm)

    yer we all have days like that some days at work can’t manage the simplest of tasks other days can do same tasks on auto,as for riding had one of those days last Sunday legs felt like lead and didn’t have any off’s but came close when it happens always think to myself Karma means that some day will have a day where i ride like a god on 2 wheels mind you not happened yet!! live in hope :D

    jura origin is a good place to start if you like that try jura superstition one of my favs and then i would recommend talisker my all time fav tipple from there just explore and enjoy :D
