    Went for it about 1:30(ish)this morning in Colchester(Essex)loads of lightening not so much thunder but what there was was loud and then really heavy rain,woke up this morning still quite hot and the pavement already drying out as if nothing has happened

    I Am sure part of the decline in hitchers is that a lot of company insurance policy’s doesn’t cover passengers unless they are other employees and so a lot of companies ban giving lifts to anyone

    Soak area with a penetrating oil leave for a good few hours have another go might be worth looking on spesh website just to make sure your not missing something as my fellow Engineers always say preparation prevents p##s poor performance :D

    Nikk I have washed my hair with washing up liquid in my poorer days and guess what it’s all still there and not gone rusty :D I have always used washing up liquid to wash my bikes VERY dilute amount in bucket of water household sponge rinse with hose set on low pressure no problem so far and yes iam a tight wad when it comes to bike washing kit :|

    Shimano for gears and brake it just works and works
    Endura and morvelo clothing wise
    Bike wise I have NO brand loyalty at all
    Slot car wise has to be slot it cars
    Everything else whatever is cheap at that point in time :D

    Coming up short on a jump smashing my meat and two veg on my stem with enough force to bended my Prince Albert the swelling meant that I had too remove bent Prince Albert with circlip pliers lest the swelling did serious damage :|

    Went up Friday during day with my brother set up tent in Farnham(our base for the three days)drove over to Robin Hood bay watched on the climb out quite a few people out weather not bad ,Saturday drove to Selby to watch the start very crowded then off to York watched in the city centre can’t remember the road name but it was down hill pave section ,up VERY early Sunday quick brekkie then off to the cow and calf got a good parking space then settled in and guarded our spot lol :D then off home (5hrs drive),all in all got to see some of the best pro riders very close up had a right laugh with my brother and drank some good ale and coffee I hope it’s back next year but right now off to plan where to watch tour of Britain.

    Think this might have kicked off a bit of an additiction

    I’ve got a brand new (6months old)Yaris hybrid I also work on hybrid forklifts so know more than the average person about hybrids and they are bloody fantasic to drive and own and don’t care what others think love mine and going to get another :D

    Lack of storage pish your looking at the wrong houses our new build is just under 4years old has a cupboard under the stairs big enough for tumble dryer,Hoover and quite a lot of crap jammed in there,loads of cupboards in the kitchen,3x bedrooms all big enough for double bed and wardrobe min think you need to have a good look around :D

    Nerf gun people keep telling yer current fav the big 50cal style sniper rifle doesn’t do them any harm(ish) and even if you miss the whistling dart scare the living daylights out of them plus it’s big old load of fun :evil:

    Got one on my transit along with heated seats both are a godsend at this time of year get in turn on both get out squirt de-icer at side windows and allow to work wipe side windows get back in no more than 2/3mins max quick swish of wipers all clear and toasty bum to boot :D

    When I was an engineering apprentice many many years ago spent a week learning how to cut a straight cut we were shown the technique then spent the rest of the week trying to replicate this mainly ended with the instructors throwing your piece of metal in the scrap bin handing you another bit to start again :oops:

    P.s the technique is right blade for right job not to much pressure or speed let the saw blade do the work for you and use the full length of the blade in steady strokes (NO sniggering at the back)

    Yep get up in van and off to customers to fix there forklifts which as they are German and a bit complex means I have to use my brain most off the time and when Iam not iam using my brawn get to drive around nice countryside in new van and as its a German company work life balance is pretty good :-)

    I’ve always had success with super glue honestly clean area up squirt in said glue push together hold for a few secs hey presto :D

    Needle and WHITE thread

    Prick chillis with fork thread onto cotton thread (important that its white as colour will run if not) hang in bottle of vodka shaking every so often store in cupboard for as long as you dare(gets stronger longer it’s left)

    Chilli vodka martinis are a fav in our house :D

    Have a loose circle of friends that hold dinner party’s/ barbecues/piss ups not a tie in sight but really good food,good wine/beer and sometimes good cigars not even held on some regular rotation just as and when ,good mix of lefties(me and the missus),Tories and even a free mason or two means lively conversation :D

    Round 2 to dad I occupied the high ground(the landing)and using the nitron semi auto disc blaster took on and defeated all comers (not that Iam gloating or anything)lol mums due home any minute and the boy is trying to persuade me that we should ambush her I think this is not going to end well for me :D

    I use my local one mainly for inner tubes lube etc the staff in there rank from being quite good to shocking but i always bear that in mind when I go in,BUT when a work mate who has been bitten by the bug asked where to go to by a bike for about £500/600 pointed him to halfords with a list of suitable brands

    Been watching with interest as someone who rides MOD land(Friday woods training ground Colchester Essex)we’ve not had much in the way of problems so far (one area fenced off due to local kids on motorcrossers)but we’ve got both battalions of the paras back in base now that afghan has come to an end so think there could be more conflict hope you manage to get thing sorted :-)

    Deffo got better the last three or so issues started reading the last one got so engrossed that I forgot the time and was late putting the little one to bed(got earache off the missus for that) keep up the good work BUT please increase the font size even with glasses find it tough going sometimes plus sometime background colour doesn’t help either

    Ride where there are lots of dog walker try to call out in advance so they can get dog under control if they chose not to then pass slowly as far over as possible,if the dog gives chase but not barking the I’ll put the hammer down and try to get it to follow me as far as possible(3miles is the record so far God know if it ever got home),if it comes at me barking and bearing teeth then it get a damn good kicking until it stops, not had one do the last thing for a good number of years mind you

    Eldest left in September for uni and he’s just popped back this weekend,I say popped this envolved me going to collect him 4.5hr round trip and then him eating everything in the house going out all last night with his mates and now me about to set off to drop him back another 4.5 hr round journey oh what fun can’t wait for him to pop back for Crimbo :?
