find all this very werid here in Colchester my local loop is all on MOD land and so long as you don’t stray on to certain points when red flags are flying or stray passed the red mine tape in the woods your fine in fact most of the troops round here(paras and royal horse artillery)are well into mtb’s so more often than not bump into them out on there bikes.

try Maplins they do a cheap(approx £4.99)selection pack of assorted sizes i use it quite a lot on wiring on forklift and that moves about and vibrates quite alot and i don’t have many failures.

i use a lowepro case clip across cheast using small karbiners onto d clips on straps on hydration pack(north face hammerhead) works fine for me and keeps camera handy

Never quite got the raceface bashing as ive got a srx one in the bike at the mo it’s getting on for 2years old and has been ridden through some right old muck and hasn’t failed yet(having said that bet it creaks next ride out)living in the flatlands of essex soil round here is sand ontop of clay so right good grinding paste mix in the winter,as for facing no need but would put some antiseize/copperslip grease on the threads makes it bit easier to get out when you need to.

Hmmm don’t know if i could live in a house where a member of the family had died but as far as people dying in house my current house(which ive just sold) was built in 1873 and so far 5 people have dropped dead in this house including the three unmarried sisters who lived in it from the 40’s till the early 80’s (my mother in law does house history)

i’d go for finger foods too,little fatsimon(mk3)is 10 months now and well into toast and marmite(breakfast) and pasta(dinner)he was a strong feeder right from the start and we switched to hungier baby milk from six months on but decreased number of feeds and it seams to have worked for us.

once nearly ran an alligator over this was in florida in the everglades they don’t half move quick when you get close same trip had a cop point a gun at me 8O

whilst on night ride had the living sh*t scared out of me by five armed bushes standing up in front of me then had very surreal conversation with the five bushes/paras about mountain bikes in the woods in the dark very very weird 8O
same woods has a large car park at one end always a good laugh to be had by turning off our lights and riding up to the nearest car and turning them on when right next to it :lol:
but the one that really frecked me out was the red orb of light i watched dart around the sky and pass right over my head all with no noise when i was out a few weeks ago on a solo night ride 8O

had some duchy originals from waitrose this weekend not bad made even better cause they were free with token from the mum in laws paper :-)

to late for this year you have them back in oct if you get them free through the nhs which you do if you are old enough(60 i think) or have asthma etc like i do but and it is a big but i havn’t had one for a few years as last time i had one i got the flu badly and the reason is that back in the summer they(the docs at the nhs)decide which strains of flu are likly this coming winter and thats what you get in the flu shot just so happens the year i got flu they picked the wrong strains so i take my chances and touch wood been lucky for the last 5 years
