funnly enough had dog aggro on sat whilst out on a ride coming down hill which is always busy with walkers so going slowly see a dog walker ahead of me (at least 20metres) she hadn’t seen me or my bro who was a little bit behind me called out a cheerie hello to make her awhere of me so she had pleanty of chance to call her dogs(3)back and get them under control oh no she did no more than look up and throw a stick for her dogs to chase in my direction managed to just avoid dogs nearly put myself in a ditch(at least 10mtrs deep) in the process then got really shirty when i had a go at her for not having her dogs under control so advised her next time i’d give the dog/dogs a good kick next time this does seam to be on the increase at the mo

loum loads of good riding in Colchester so long as you don’t mind a bit of cheeky, flange is forgeting all about friday woods miltary trainning grounds covers about 15/20 odd miles open to the public all year round and as its crown land you can ride any track you want and it kicks tunstalls ars* as far as good riding goes if you ever find yourself round colchester and want a guided tour e mail address is in profile 8)

this sound a bit suss to me couldn’t have been 1945 as the japs were well and truly on the back foot by then and why would yanks be envolved in digging the trench that these “spitfires” were put into?
the dates and info doesn’t tally up also i belive it was commom to blow up/set fire to planes and vehciles if possible during any kind of retreat so something tells me hes going to dig up a load of old tat maybe the odd spare part if hes lucky.

i don’t get how its got to this stage down there, as i ride on M0D land here in the south east(Essex)and here we have no conflict what so ever and we have the whole of 5th airmobile brigade stationed here(paras, etc) it’s not hard just don’t go anywhere that has red flags or is marked off with tape and if you do accidently stray be polite and leave as quickly as possible simples :-)

to the op and to yossarian did the same thing about 6years ago kids toys on stairs fell down stairs ankle goes pop and can’t walk hobble off to a&e turns out not only had i torn the tendons from the bone but what i thought was a badly twisted ankle a few years before was in fact a fracture to the socket in the ankle joint which had badly healed allowing my ankle to travel through a greater arc when i feel down the stairs thus doing even more damage cue 6 weeks in an inflatable cast and an ankle that is now weak and still gives me grief from time to time now :(

glad you got your bikes back and bad play from the police for not at least dishing out a caution but just to let you know for further reference the word “pikey” is a gypsy word for a child abuser so not a good idea to refer to gypsys as pikeys to there faces.

been told tales that back a few years ago that the para’s (that are stationed in Colchester),that in one of the woods that form part of the training grounds round here that they used to see a large tan coloured cat both in late evening and they used to see a large cat in there night vision scopes at night couldn’t shoot the thing as the training ground around here don’t allow live rounds hasn’t been seen for a few years mainly because the para’s are in afgan alot at the mo 8O :|
