Did Penhydd and Blue Scar. Penhydd made me buy a new bike.

So there’s no analysis of Badger’s tubeless woes?

The only copy lego set I bought was the Porsche 911 because I didn’t want an orange one. The others are MOC kits which is easier than getting the instructions and buying the parts separately.

I’ve bought some knock off lego sets. Been great. 2 road bike frames also great. A cheap mobile phone (for a laugh and to see what it was like) absolute shite. As long as you do the research and use a decent seller it’s fine. Just be prepared to wait for stuff to arrive.

I went last weekend and it was all open. Nothing on the local Facebook site at the moment.

I had one for about 6 years and rode with it. Although I didn’t notice it because I was rather larger then. It only became a problem when I lost weight and then tried to move a 86″ Display at work (with 2 other people).

But as others have said. Op was in and out the same day and back riding after a couple of weeks

I have some 10 year old 540s that are still as good as the day I bought them. But I also have some early m950s that are still soldiering on as well

I’m going down the 2nd hand route for my “new” bike. Trying to get it all bought and working before the energy price hikes. My last new new bike was a PX FreeRanger on cyclescheme which works great with slicks on as well so I’m getting rid of my road bike now and just keeping the two bikes.

Good point Rick. That had also crossed my mind. I think I’m going to have to play around a little with the levels.

If you are down at BPW check out Afan and Glyncorrwg as well. You should get most of that done in a day.

Pads might be something to change. I’ve not changed those yet. They look to have plenty of life in them. But I’ve no idea what compound they are.

Maybe it’s just down to the 4pots rather than twin pot I’m used to. Last time I used Hope brakes was when the Mono Mini’s first came out. I had them for 3 weeks of squealing and changed them to Magura’s :D

I’ll give them another once over and see how I get om.

Bike arrived yesterday. Did it’s shakedown run yesterday afternoon. Great fun weird to be off road on drop bars though. Brakes need bleeding they’re far to spongy for my liking. Got some 650b wheels arriving this week so I can use slick on the 700’s for commuting.

I live in a village called Llanmaes about 6 miles from Barry. Work in Cardiff and cycle there every day. I moved from Newcastle Under Lyme about 15 years ago. Took a chance on uprooting everything for a new life. Never looked back. I love living down here. I can chose what type of riding I do. I couldn’t drive until about 2 years ago so was mainly restricted to the road and my MTB’s never got used and eventually sold for the skinny tyres. Now I’ve got a license and a car I can get to places like Afan/Glyncorrwg/Smilog and so on. Or I get on my road bike and can ride from Coast to mountains in an hour or two.
As long as you do the research into where to live it should be fine. Rhoose is nice. So are parts of Barry if you stay close to Porthkerry Park/The Knap. If you go up into the Valleys property is cheaper but I’ve never felt intimidated by anyone. Most of them are friendly enough even with my clearly English accent.

It seemed to be really difficult to buy the bike I wanted originally. The 2x bikes had a long wait on them. The deal came up on Holdsworth and it was one of the ones I’d looked at anyway on several occasions so thought sod it and bit the bullet. The wife isn’t happy that I have another bike. She can’t see why I need 4 :D I tried the N+1 explanation but she didn’t buy it.

I’ve ended up going with the Holdsworth Mystique with Rival as with a 10% off code it ended up nearly £350 cheaper than the Force version. I’ll let you know what it’s like. It arrives tomorrow I love new bike day.

Tonic water works wonders for me too. I like the taste of it though. I’d happily drink it without the Gin :D

If the stewards decided that RBR had created the information and not discovered it. Isn’t that lying so bringing the sport into disrepute? Isn’t there something like a £100m fine for that?

Although if rumours are to be believed the £100m fine was made up of £1m for the actual offence and $£99m because Max Mosley though Ron Dennis was a bit of a c***

I use a Cycliq fly12. It’s the older model but it checks out.
Great footage and lasts a couple of days even with the light on as well.

The Holdsworth and the Dolan seem to be I have looked at the Topstone as well. I’ve got a couple of months until I need to sort a winter bike I guess.
