Way to many to count. I had 7 bikes and 9 frames in the shed at one point. But now just down to 2. My On-One Freeranger for commuting and road then my YT Wicked for off road fun.

My 26er is my only MTB. It’s a YT Wicked. Built it up on a budget after realising I needed a burlier bike than the 100mm 650b Hardtail I was using. It’s awesome. I love it. Thanks to @dc1988. I keep ahead of my mates on their 29ers on the downhills. Ok I struggle a little on the climbs but that’s more because I’m a fat bap and they’re on e-bikes :D But after 8 years of the road I know how to enjoy the suffering on a climb.

I’m disappointed it took an hour for this reply.

My Free Ranger will take 2.3″ nobby nic’s on 650b :) Looks mental and very wrong but kinda fun at the same time.

I ended up going for the Leatt MTB 3.0 Enduro. It’s a convertible helmet so I thought I’d get more use from it. Really comfy and the chin guard seems to be quite sturdy. Well ventilated too.

PM’d you Weeksy. Thank you for the offer.

I’ll have a look at some of the others too.

We had the full Sky package. The Q boxes kept losing connection whether wired or wireless. Bandwidth was terrible. Came to the end of my contract and called them up to get a better deal and they offered me £5 a month off. After 7 years of being with them. Went to BT get a faster connection 3 Discs and much better service. The Q boxes never drop connection now either. Plus I’m paying £10 less than I was with Sky. The TV is going next month too

You could try removing the top cap then a strap wrench on the exposed threads.

I’ve got some Aftershokz Titaniums and they’re great. The Shokz range isn’t expensive and because they’re bone conducting you can hear everything around you. Plus they don’t need to be stupidly loud. I use mine for commuting everyday. So get about 2.5 hours use a day. I have to charge them once a week.

The Ants that have survived will die off. They can’t go and join another colony because they would get killed as trespassers. They don’t hurt anyone and are fascinating creatures. They could have been rehomed.

Toast with real butter. Or being a displaced Stokie Cheesey Oatcakes. That’s if I can be bothered to make any oatcakes to start with.

See if Malcolm at Cycle Clinic can help you. He was really good with my Powertap wheels when I needed a new freehub.

Buy the new Shakedry and get the old one repaired as well. Then you have one for everyday use and one for Sunday best :)

I went for Hope Hubs on Mavic Open Pro Rims with 32 spokes. Cost me about £350 for the pair. They’re bombproof and I’m 17st. So you could easily go down to 28 front and rear.

If it’s the GXC it’s the Carbonda frame above. I’m 6’4 and running a 58cm Freeranger which is the same frame as well.

Hands up here. I need to lose at least 1 stone possibly 2. Through lockdown I went down nearly 3 stone. Now back in the office and crappy weather means I’m back up those 3 again 😪 but office toast has a hold on me

No the levers are fine (although they do squeak for some reason) but I like the look of the Tech3’s with the extra fiddly bits on them :D

I have the Lezyne Lazer driver which fits my SL6 and also fitted my F12. The only issue I had with lights on the road was the stupid integrated aero bars

One up posts get some good reviews and will do a 34.9 150mm drop too. Also seem to have a SRAM compatible switch/remote

Hahaha Badger!!! That’s a blast from the past even before the Picolax thread.

I had nightmares about setting tubeless up. But I ended up getting an airshot and they’ve stayed up so far. One the bead is seated properly you should be fine.

Still carry a tube, pump and Co2 inflator though

I have a Lezyne Lazer light that if I don’t use for 24 hours goes flat. But it holds charge otherwise.

Have a look at the Token Ninja BB. It’s a little expensive (if you can find one) but it has loads of shims and also screws together in the middle so it doesn’t creak at all

I have a Freeranger and on 650b wheels I can get a 2.4″ Michelin in. It looks very very wrong but it’s fun. Until you need to do any distance on the road.

I love the lyrics in Enjoy the Silence by Depeche Mode. Land of Confusion seems to stay very current as well lyrics wise.

I don’t really mind who wins it this year as long as it’s not Verstappen. That smug grin he has just makes me want to punch him. It’s worse than Schumachers.

I’ll second the Lifeline one. Does the job and I’ve not snapped any bolts yet and I’m hamfisted.

That’s the ratio I have on my Free Ranger. On the road I don’t like it. I miss the 2nd chain ring. Uphill I don’t have the right gear. Downhill it’s not fast enough. Offroad it’s fine but I spend most of my time commuting to and from work on the road.

The one for our local surgery (Rhoose) isn’t great either. If you fill in the forms it basically gives you an option for you to call in, which is when the receptionist tells you to go online, or that you’re about to die from spontaneous typing syndrome and to call the A&E department

If it needs to be Windows powered make sure it is at least an i3 or i5 and has 8GB ram. Other than that for what he’s doing most should be fine. I’d always go for an HP but that’s what we use at work and have 0 issues with them. Having said that my personal laptop is an Alienware but that was because I wanted a gaming machine :)

Someone on eBay does a service for about £50, probably worth a try otherwise you could almost get a brand new brand x

I just saw that. I think I’ll try him :)
