My car is as old as I am. It costs me £95 a year to insure with 8000 miles and commuting if needs be too.

I would beg to differ. Photoshop does run well on a 6th gen i7. Plus it will happily run W11 as does my 4th gen i5.

    I would go with

That’s what we’ve used at the last place I worked and they were great.

Although I have a set of 26″ Wardens that have been used once and I hated them if you fancy a pair.

Another vote for the Trailrakers here.

I’ve used them quite a bit. Especially trying to build a Di2 road bike during COVID when no one had any stock except them. Never had any real issues with them. They even tried to get me a refund on an Avio power meter that went faulty and was returned to Avio the day before they went bump.

I read somewhere today (probably an F1 site) that the only thing Red Bull, as a company, make themselves is an F1 car. Which must mean they don’t make the drink then.

Although watching Karen Horner on Sky F1 last night he didn’t seem too upset really. He was doing that annoying false upset face that people do when they don’t really care but have to look like they do. It may have something to do with him having more important things to worry about like getting caught blatantly cheating.

But the loss of Mateschitz is a big one. He has done so much for so many athletes. Especially in our little corner of sport.

Those votes have changed. Truss is now listed as voting no.

But if Thicky, Sorry, I mean Liz! abstained shouldn’t she also get the same punishment? They can’t punish the other MP’s who abstained if she isn’t. Isn’t this going to be a catch22 for the government? IDS, Bozo and Theresa, Patel and Dorries all abstained. At it seems Bozo, Patel and Dorries may have had a small amount of integrity. But just a small amount.

what does it mean for an individual mp to lose the whip?

They stay as an MP but not affiliated with a party. So they’re independent.

I guess they could then join another party couldn’t they?

This is worse than anything Bozo managed to f*ck up.

If Tory MPs vote with Labour, they could lose the whip – meaning they will have to sit as independent MPs.

That could well be about to happen to a number of MPs, some of whom have already stuck their head above the parapet to say they will vote against the government.

That’s from the BBC coverage. Now if I read this correctly does that mean that if enough MP’s abstain or vote No and have to sit as independent could that trigger a general election?

I’m with Ta11pau1 here. I’m not overly comfortable with the wheels off the ground. I think it’s down to spending most of my MTB life on hardtails which I was happy with jumping on then moving to an FS bike it feels weird. Drops I’m OK with as long as I can scope it first and it’s not too big.

I’ve been a couple of times. A mate is always surprised I don’t get air on Countdown or Launchpad. But I don’t do jumping :D I like my wheels firmly fixed to the ground.
Sheepskull I love but I always get the wrong line at the big rooty bit and bottle it. 5 attempts so far and 5 times I’ve bottled it. I think the 10 year break of exclusively road use has turned me into a scaredy cat.
It’s always a laugh though when we do go and yes Countdown and Launchpad are silly quick and I can see how you could have a big accident on them.

I’m running 45mm Pirelli tyres at the moment but on 650b Wheels I can get 2.1″ Nobby Nic’s in there so it can take some monster tyres.

I do have an itch to try fitting a silly pair of forks to my Gravel bike to see what happens there but none of my riding buddies will lend me a set of 29er forks to try it and my MTB is 650b

Try it. See how it feels. If you crash and die though could I have the other forks?

I’ve just bought myself an HPI RS4 MT2 and Kyosho Inferno both off eBay. Both need a little work but engines sound like they should be OK. But we shall see. Little wander to Antics for some fuel, glow plug and Glow Start and they should be running by Sunday 😀

Same here. Far too much sentimental attachment once the bike has been ridden. It’s only when I have to tell someone how many I have and they look shocked I realise maybe I do have too many bikes and the wife might be right.

I did have a big downsize the last 2 years to go from 6 road bikes (all carbon rim brakes – so all the same) to 1 Gravel and 1 MTB. I now have permission for 1 road bike which I think I might go PX Pro Carbon.

We worried with our cats. I had an old moody cow when I first moved to Wales and my wife fell in love with a 2 year old cat at Bridgend cats protection about 4 years ago. The two got on with each other surprisingly well. As long as you introduce them properly there shouldn’t be an issue. The older one died last year and we had a 1 year old boy given to us by one of my wife’s friends who was moving. They tolerate each other but do play every so often. Wouldn’t change them though.

Yep. Had it in my right ankle about 8 years ago. Bloody painful. Ended up in A&E after ignoring it for 3 days. The nurse drew round the infection when I went in an hour later it had spread about 2″ further up my leg and sores opening up. Ended up on stupidly strong antibiotics on an IV drip for 2 weeks. Once you have it you need to be careful though as you will be susceptible to it again.

I love my New Zealand Deck sealant. It really makes my Deck nice to use.

Oh you mean tyre sealant. I tried Stans and it failed miserably. No idea why. I use Muc-Off now and had no issues.

Nice, the Mattoc is a great fork and what I run on my new(er) enduro bike (Bird Aeris 145). I’m tempted to mullet that but I think trying to fit a 29″ front wheel would require too many adjustments

Glad you approve :) It’s definitely made it roll better. The Mattoc is a little less supple than the BOS forks were but hardly noticeable unless it’s a fire road. But I don’t feel underbiked anywhere now unlike I did with the Norco HT :D

Not tried the Barzo. But I love the Hans Dampf for a rear tyre. I ride either at Afan or FOD mostly and they’re great there. Paired up with a Magic Mary on the front.

Under £200 if you use CLEAR2022 as well ;)

The fork is a 650b one :) I did worry about the back end so when I changed the shock out I stuck the wheel in to check. All seems dandy. I think a 2.35 Hans Dampf is the biggest tyre the rear will take though leaving some mud room.

I have 3 bikes now. At one point I had 5 3 of which were carbon rim brake road bikes which all had similar geometry so were all the same really. Now I have a 2012 YT Wicked 160 but it’s running 650b wheels and a 2021 On One Freeranger. The 3rd is a 1997 GT Tequesta which I’m trying to get set up for my daughter.

It was mentioned it’s been the fastest ever Tour. It does make you wonder if something is going on if they’re faster than Lance and Co. I know tech has improved but it can’t have improved THAT much can it?
