Oh no, I've just remembered that I owned some pink Descente bib shorts. There's photographic evidence somewhere too.

People being amazed that you'd managed to get a bike up there, blissfully unaware of whether it was a bridleway or a footpath.

Hmm, I've got one of those. Anyone want to offer me £75 for it before I stick it on Ebay?

We got badly midged at a campsite on the south side of the estuary a couple of years ago but had no problems on the trail centre routes.

Nail each thing to the frame individually.
    With really big nails.
And leave the sharp ends sticking out.
After all, a seat pack would ruin the ride.

Or just put the stuff in a seat pack and enjoy the ride.

I've got a Fargo and it's brilliant at all the things I want it for – commuting, touring with plenty of kit on, carrying the child seat, child seat and kit etc etc etc. My build up on the frame is about as heavy as I could manage without filling things with lead as it's got touring rims, Marathon Plus tyres, slime tubes, dynamo front hub, a bizzarre collection of handlebars, hydraullic discs, Brooks B17, Ergon grips, lots of bottles, full racks and mudguards and it still handles well, really predictable on even fairly rough tracks. I use it for commuting shopping/errands/short trips, and I've done a few 100+ mile rides on it and it's not road bike fast but it doesn't hold me back too much either. Superbly comfy too. Buy one.

If yours is like mine, he might not even notice. I changed my bank account a few months ago and all the standing orders were supposed to have been switched automatically but my rent wasn't. As I don't use this account for anything other than a standing order in and bills out it took me 2 months to notice so I rang to apologise and he had no idea I hadn't paid! Makes me wish I'd kept schtum.

It's normally a pain in the backside to find stuff that fits my bulkyness, but it pays off every now and then, like my Helly Hensen Boarding jacket that should have been £300 and cost me £49. Or my Goretex walking jacket that cost me £80 instead of £220.

I've got an ex-police (unmarked car) VRS estate and it's flinking brilliant. Had my mechanic mate give it a full going over and bought it on his recommendation as it was really well kept. All the major bits under the bonnet have stickers on saying when replaced and it runs like a dream.

Taking Mrs FBJ into hospital at 3am to have little FBJ was the perfect excuse to explore the envelope. Oh my God it's fast and I'm really glad we chose to use the birth centre in Buxton for the drive up there alone.

Photograph yourself doing obscene things with any other people's stuff, then email them the pictures after you next see them using said item.

Might be best to give it a bit of a shake first though.

Can't help thinking any strikers would have to be a bit stupid anyway. Working for a company who lost £400million last year and demanding a payrise sounds pretty short-sighted when you're an over and above the industry average to boot.
