Hi, I’ve got the 1200lmn xml version and mine is on red constantly, I got 2 more for mates, one is always green the other a sort of odd mix of the two. Its pot luck, no problems with any of them and when switching between high and low power you should easily get 2 hours out of it.

same hear fella, everyone goes off MTBing for a while (i think). why not get a cheap/second hand road bike to start and if you end up using it more then buy a smart new bike?

I do a spot of roading on my ancient Raleigh (weighs more than my full suss 😯 ) but its just as much fun as something flash.

The other thing to try is getting out early, I usually hit the road around 6, 6.30, 35 miles back buy 8ish

blimey, any thread on hear seems to desend into a slanging match, I wasn’t slagging them off just an observation really hence the smiley face! 🙄

I push up climbs, but descend twice as fast as you. It really annoys me when people get in my way on the downs

    Good point, well made!

there was one guy I bumped into who had hit a tree and snapped the top tube clean through and the forks and head tube were hanging on by about a third of the down tube, amazingly he only had a graze on his leg 😯

I’ve got an 872, magic bit of kit nice and floody and fine for most stuff on the lowest setting and then lasts for hours. As its a flood light I would suggest its bar mount only.

Use your P7 on your lid or better still spend £30 on a DX T6 XML for your lid, nice tight spot beam, really compliments the 872

My granny said she saw a fat indian on a bike who’d lost his glasses.

the vatican is very powerfull and no doubt has centurys of incriminating information stored away that if made public would destroy the reputations of anyone/country that tried to get the top people jailed.

you want the bike back? easy!

Its their busiest time of year so get yourself down there tommorow morning, stand on the pavement right outside.

Then while not blocking the entrance tell everyone who even looks at the shop that they sell stolen bikes and point ouy your dads bike.

I bet you get the bike back complete with a complimentary set of new brakes within about 2 hours!

    sorted

I think all you public sector bashers are missing the point, all people want is what they were promised and have worked and saved for.

    Think of it lke this-

you’ve worked hard and saved up and now your in the local LBS ordering your new bike, you pay up and agree pick up the following week

You go back and the man wheels out your bike

err…hang on you say thats not the bike I ordered thats a much lower spec.

Ah says the man, after you paid and left I realised my pricing structure was no longer financially viable so you have two choices:
You can take this bike or pay me an extra £1000 and I’ll get the bike I agreed to get you in the first place

I bet you wouldnt put up with that about a bike so why should people put up with being shafted over somthing so important as their pension.

And as for the ‘there all lazy feckers’ tell that to my radiographer wife whos just come home from a 17 hour shift!

i find it works if u slowly rotate the wheel until it reaches the point where its rubbing then loosen the caliper & pull the brake on, do that once or twice and it usually sorts it

a sign above the door reading – abandon hope, all ye wh enter here will sum things up

All that jazz about how it completely chages your life, mate it doesnt even start to cover it!

how will it affect the biking – depends how understanding mummy is, and work on the principal that less will have to be more.

I dont think anyone should be barred from using the national parks but the impact of how they use it should be measured and a ban imposed if nessesary.

When I started riding 5 years ago the local moorland trails were a bit rutted (maybe 6 inches deep) 5 years later there so deep as to be unridable by anyone other that motor bikes (which is whats caused it) plus its forced other users to walk on the f;ora and forna either side which is now being worn away.
