Has there been much discussion around voter ID and how it will play in the overall turnout numbers?

    Death.

At a very young age, the whole idea that one day I wouldn’t be here/exist scared the bejesus out of me.

My Mum and Dad would try and reassure me with all the ‘right’ replies, but the young me just couldn’t get his head around forgetting about it for a few decades.

I think it’s been a big part of me trying anything and everything along this trip.

    Signed.

The big artists are slightly different, but with streaming and a lot of ‘da yoof’ wanting ‘free’ music ,gigs(and merch) are often the only way (for some bands)of making  any money. It’s like moaning about the price of cake in Starbucks, not such a big deal when you factor in the overheads and staff costs.

I think the countries finance, structures and society is so screwed up that no matter what Labour do, things will not turn around quickly.

I now think of the UK in classic car terms.

This once iconic example of style, great design, with looks and performance to match.

Admired and envied all over the world,it was the place to go if you wanted the ride of your life.

Alas,it’s been on a disrespected joy ride over the last few decades with quick fixes ,bodged repairs and almost zero investment.

The new caretakers are going to have a huge restoration job to do if they want to save it.

I fully appreciate that it’s not for everyone, but I can say, hand on heart, that having a steel frame built to my spec, was one of the best things I have ever done. The whole process from start to finish was a lovely thing.Of all my bikes,it’s still the one I ride the most.

Imagine if you wanted to buy(or sell) a Winglepin.

The first thing you would do is use the awzum power of Google ( other search engines are available) to find what the going rate is for this rare and wonderful thing.

Turns out Winglepins are not rare and there are plenty new ones for sale @ £280

    £300 for green ones.

Second hand they go for around £190 depending on condition.

All good so far,but wait a minute ..

    What about delivery/collection costs?

Are there any for sale locally?

How quick/desperately do you need to get rid of this Winglepin?

Do you need this Winglepin next day?

Obviously ignore any Winglepins at £100 or less, they are most likely broken or stolen.

    😆 🤣 😂

Yup, we are planning on making it a C2C .

Train to Carlisle Friday night ,then head down Sat morning (Maryport) for a bit of an explore along the coast.

Back up to the start and choose a group to get out of town with.

    Disappointed

    For me..6/10

Some of the sketchy CGI sections were an annoying distraction,I then started to notice them everywhere.😒

Some small parts of the main scenes looked like they were running at the wrong film speed,a bit like an old silent movie.

No idea what that was about.🫤

Small detail, but that jump from –>>Furiosa falling down in the sand, car and driver up on the hill (?) ,being dragged behind something (a car?),then wakes up covered with maggots in a scene from Macbeth.🙃🤣

As always, the War Rig scenes saved it……….just.😉

I enjoy riding it but I’ve got absolutely no control over the behaviour of everyone else on the road and there’s just way too many utter bellends out there.Sitting here looking at my bike wondering what to do with it

Yup ,there are sometimes days like that, but if you think too much about the ‘what ifs’,you would never leave the house.

Could you choose some different routes and the time of day you ride them?

Having said that,I had a trip south of the border a few weeks back and I am not sure I would use a bike as much down there.

The huge volumes of traffic does seem to generate a large percentage of muppets, very tiring .
