    Some STW big hitters from the political threads are asked to take part in a live broadcast on election night.

    The filming location is at a remote highland castle,all travel and expenses are paid for(plus a FREE BAR) ,and they are asked to arrive on the Wednesday.

    I am thinking a mix of, Knives Out,Battle Royale with a touch of Traitors.

    Either the ethics of a company play part of your buying decision or they don’t.

    Indeed, my dislike of the Brewdog management has SFA to do with being trendy,see also Wetherspoons and the many others that are on my avoidance list.

    (IMO) Mr J Watt is a absolute roaster and a plastic punk to boot.

    Those moles that dig out on the edge/verge of busy A roads.

    Never seen a dead one,so I wonder if they sense danger and reverse at speed.

    OP

    You need to use a ‘real life’ story 😉🙃

    Just last week I was flying my hot air balloon and got a bit lost .

    I reduced height and saw a bikepacker down below. I lowered the balloon further and shouted to get some directions.

    Me : “Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?”

    The bikepacker replied “Yes,you’re in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field.”

    “You must work in Information Technology,” says I.

    “I do” replies the bikepacker. “How did you know?”

    Me: “Well,everything you have told me is technically correct, but It’s of no use to anyone.”

    The bikepacker replied, “You must work in management.”

    Me: “I do,but how’d you know?”*

    “Well”, said the bikepacker, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going, but you expect me to be able to help. You’re in the same position you were before we met, but now it’s my fault.”

    Me: ” I hope you get covered in slurry”

    😊

    @fatmax

    Great to meet you and Gary again,with a ton/scotroutes bonus 👍😊

    Timed it perfect for the sunrise this year,so I can now erase 2022 from my memories.

    As always,an excellent night out #steelisreal 😉

    @nickingsley

    I ditched the idea of Silloth as it was my son’s first 100,so we went down to Bowness on Sands, touched the sea,then back up to Carlise on cycle route 72 (which is a lovely road). He still clocked 135 mls all in💪🙃

    @jamesmio

    It must be a thing about Moffat, we got passed by two ‘kids’ on motos (125s with L plates) ,one with feet up on the bars and the other doing a superman along the seat 🫤🤣🙃

    I approve of your choice of doitall bike and the handlebars you fitted on it.

    I also like that you didn’t fanny around and put a double chainset on.

    Lesson learned for the young padawan. 😉

    Tyne Tunnel anyone?

    Our youngest whizzed through and was sure there were no signs about any toll 🙃🤣

    As the car was still logged at our address,by the time we got notification(in the post) we got to pay full whack .

    I think crazy-legs has it.

    The Gravel revolution has killed off a lot of the trad ‘Winter’ bike market.

    With most frames now having lots of clearance,it’s easy to chuck a set of guards on for the bad weather.

    (IMO) if you then have another set of wheels , it makes them more of an all year round/doitall bike.

    Guilty as charged,but there is nothing (for me) more satisfying than being able to repair/reuse/upgrade something.

    Can see ,where at certain levels of OCD/anxiety it could be very debilitating ,but I am not quite there yet.

    The trend for rampant consumerism and high levels of waste makes me sad

    My shed/workshop is the best comfort blanket I have ever had 👍🤣🙃

    Aye,a lot is well overgrown,but I decided the other night that I much prefer dry narrow trails and tingling legs over ,careering around in a mudfest and drizzle.  👍

    Last night I watched his Bordeaux (gear change) sprint again on the suitably named TDF Unchained .

    Jeez,it was still a hard watch.

    I hope by some miracle Sir Cav can snatch another one this year.
