    I can picture* the scene

A Porshe enthusiast loves your work so much that they buy two pieces, but horror of horrors, whilst having a chat with ‘the artist ‘ as they pack the paintings into their car, they then discover your other hobby. A huge argument then ensues, as they try to get their money back :-) :-)

Hope it all goes well ( thumbs up emoji)

    *pun intended

Good work by perchy&mac (  potential Fringe act in the making).

Portobello can be painfully ‘ Hipster central’ ,good if you like mutts on the beach, there’s usually hundreds on a Sunday *

where else is she going to earn her income?

You would think she should be able to manage on her’ lifetime’ former PM salary.

Then again, she may just always  be that sad and  hopeless attention seeker.

“a Gentleman always carries an umbrella” :-)

    and a handkerchief :)

I am always a bit Baden Powell* so rarely get ambushed by changeable weather. However,it does mean that I pack/carry around a load of ‘stuff’.

*be prepared that is, not creepy old scout leader ;-)

I regularly see people dressed in clothing more appropriate for hot dry desert weather, even in the depth of winter.

    Blinkin students :)

It was probably a spare stone that they had leftover on Lewis or Orkney.

Southerner : ” Are you going to use that stone for anything?”

    Northerner  : ” Nah,yir fine wee man,jist take it”

    Thanks.

Although a small fold size would be nice,I am not intending any rush hour/commuting type train trips.

I appreciate that it’s easy to pick up 2nd hand Bromptons (as there are so many of them around),but I am not really planning to flog it on,

so was taken by the style and clean lines of the Atto (and disc brakes*)

*I have been looking at the Bromptons that Ben through in Kinetics does with disc kits

Ironing, Mrs dB loves ironing, so everything that gets washed has to go in the ironing pile until it gets neatly ironed before being put away, if I sneak a tee shirt that got washed a week ago & dare put to put it on without ironing I’m literally put on the naughty step all because she thinks it reflects badly on her caring for husband skills..

That is most excellent, the green dress, her weak voice and the way it echoes around what sounds to be an almost empty room.

The only fly in the ointment is watching it on a platform owned by the world’s biggest roaster.  :(

Every single thing that gallowayboy said.^^

Anyone that gets the caramel and chocolate to shortbread ratio wrong, should be shamed in public.

People that use ‘cooking ‘chocolate need to be hoofed in the slats.

I’m just trying to understand the science…

…why would it ‘choose’ that one house as opposed to a phone mast nearby or whatever?

It doesn’t ‘choose’ ,just hard lines if your house is in (or close to )the path. The same as those golfers in America that get zapped every year, wrong place at the wrong time.

Took the local train rather than pay to go on the hotel tour. Holiday rep said the train was dangerous etc, but just kept hands and eyes on pockets and valuables to make sure we weren’t pick pocketed.

Aye,second that, they try to scare you into a ‘safe’ tour.

Locals trains = Graffiti Central ,which can make it feel a bit ‘gang zone’ but they were fine .

It was 38 degrees and there is zero shade. It’s bearable if you take a lot of water.

Yup same,it was blinkin hot,go prepared

    Oh,and go early..

Did not book a tour, just wandered around with a map and started at the furthest away from the gate area ,then worked  our way back

    Fascinating place.

Had mine done then rode back home* on my motorbike. Funniest thing was forgetting to bring shoes,so had to walk to surgery in the back to front gown, with only a set of MX boots :-) What was not funny was a couple of weeks later when I jumped off a desk in the office after opening a high window.

Commuting all year round I found a love for all weather conditions, and watching the seasons change through the fields and tree growth was a real ‘connection’ thing. I suspect that a lot of dog walkers may get the same feelings, when they have to be out there every day.

Watched the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last night.

Its hard to put into words how bad this film is…

    Winston + thousands.

I was suckered in by the ‘based on a true story’ shtick, but quickly realised it was a pile of turd.

At least it only took 20 mins on fast forward to confirm.

Some of the French fans need to go and sit in a quiet room and have a think about how they behaved.

If Pidcock hadn’t had the wheel change he would have left Koretzky for dead long before his smart line choice that got their pants in a twist.

I hope Tom had time to shout ” ON YOUR LEFT” :)
