why worry if she does or doesn’t fancy you?
go for a meal together and be yourself; (by the time the rohipnal has taken effect then it won’t matter, unless she has got large hands and an adams apple).

be yourself. when it is right then its right

on solo rides i think about sex and winning euro millions.
if i think about euro millions first then i think alot more about sex. 😀

if i pass a fit female horse rider my thoughts automatically go to sex.

    a goat for africa?
just print the page from the oxfam brochure.
don’t actually pay oxfam, the bird will never find out and then go and spend the money you’ve saved on yourself at LBS

as an old retro git i thought the op was looking to part exchange an old uncle john tyre!
admitedly i have only heard of a farmer john and cousin versions of tyres but it is not impossible for a version to pass my horizon without me knowing about it.

onza – your porch motar maybe cracking because its not tied in to the main house. Vertical joint between the house and porch? If the crack is diagonal then you might have a settlement issue.

bk – i can’t show you my custom spray coz 2 bikes are brushed ti and the santa is anodized; however is you have a look on the independent fabication owners site or the lynsky website you can find some “interesting” paint jobs.

theres a bloke on here thats got a “mint sparkle” santa cruz that is the dogs doo-dars in my book

onza – differential settlement is when one part of the building settles quicker than another, due to different ground conditions (eg sand on one side, clay on the other) or big trees growing (or being felled) causing the soil to become desicated or saturated. Then you can get fun things like frost heave occuring. if your house is built half accross the footprint of a former structure that can cause problems.
don’t worry, most things can be fixed.

    THEY DRINK TEA IN HOLLAND

In 3 months time i will have a quiet word with her and i won't expect you to make me a cup of tea at breakfast when we finally meet 😉

whether i needed a nice refreshing hot drink or even whether i wanted a nice refreshing hot drink were never considered, as i had already consumed 6 bottles of lovely stowford press cider on the way there (well it was a 4 hour journey). i think it would have been polite if a drink (of any sort) was offered, that all.
martinGT – the money raised was from a milk subsidy from my llamas.
chutney13 – if your tradesman had a dig that you didn't make him a drink when the facilities were offered the you have been given the legal right to call him a fuktard whilst pointing to the kettle and say "i told you to help yourself" – its the law and no-one gets offended

ps this post is predominantly 😉

perhaps if you offered her a cup of tea she wouldn't be so unreasonable? 😉

DrJ and Drac – i thought you medical types would appreciate the importance of hydration?
i ended up having a cracking bacon, sausage, egg and mushroom bap with a big mug of tea in a layby near lancaster.
Followed by an excellent p.i.t.h. (p1ss in the hedge)

    br – eh?

the miserable sod in the north yorkshire moors (ex-southerner) spent 5 mins helping me load up and i was back on my way again.

i've always offered to put the kettle on if someone has come to buy things off me.

one seller had even got some sandwiches ready when i bought a land rover in luton. top bloke!

For those of you who only ride your local trails – don't you get bored riding the same stuff all the time?

i get a reasonable variety with on road/off road cycling; daytime and night rides around here (hell of the north country).

don't you fall asleep driving 3 hours home after riding for 4 hours?

i can't motivate myself to drive more than 45 minutes max to go bike riding when i live on the edge of the north cotswolds i am happy riding there throughout the year.

that said, i did fly 9000 miles to adelaide to ride the Mawson Trail; so i'm a carbon footprint yeti

    thanks for all your help.
i think i will try a small frame first (although i have a medium superlight and a 17" kona); although i tend to prefer a stretched riding position i am a '90s old skool flat bars + long stem person – which will no doubt shag up the best designed handling features!
time to visit the malvern showroom

I took my santa cruz superlight out in a planet x bike bag; complete with bivy bag, sleeping bag and clothes for a 16 day outback tour in South Australia. I phoned quantas and told them that i was doing a charity event and my bag weighed 32kg (and i weighed 10 stone) and the made sure that i wasn't charged excess baggage. the was in 2002.

MAKE SURE YOUR BIKE IS CLEANER THAN A SHOWROOM MODEL, otherwise customs will give you a lot of grief.

    cheers for your help
