Don’t remember seeing Froome have consecutive bad days in a tour. I still wouldn’t rule him out. Yates could easily have a bad day and lose the whole thing. It’s early days, lots of tough days to come!

Do you think Froome is deliberately not going for wins /jersey to avoid the media? That said he doesn’t look at all comfortable. Great that Yates is still there but 16s ahead of dumoulin looks very fragile. On that subject commentators said dumoulin. Had only raced 12 days prior to tour? Very strange to then come to a Giro and be a contender?

Just watched Simon Yates drop some of the worlds best including Froome! What a ride, Yates looks fresh and right on form, Froome anything but….

Haye shouldn’t of been in the ring, clearly injured with a weak/turn archilles. But he turned up for the money. His footwork and defence were poor but hindered by his legs. Still, he’s £5m richer….not a bad nights work…

What were ground conditions like? We there large sections where you had to walk the bike, or was it all rideable?

The USA has a history of playing the moral narrative to its own end. Donald Rumsfeld helped Saddam Hussein in the Iraq/Iran war and this included turning a blind eye to the extensive use of chemical weapons. At the same time Israel indiscriminately is killing Palestinian civilians it keeps in worlds largest concentration camp. The ‘red line’ is never quite clear is it?

Lemmy;not only the  nazi memorabilia, but choosing to do pointless collaborations like the plasmatics and in doing so precipitating breakup of their best line up.

I don’t think self scan checkouts are cheaper to run, otherwise Lidl and aldi would have them. With all the theft, constant calibrations of the weighing mechanism etc etc

I think the tenders had to be under an EU process governed in EU law. So after Brexit I guess we don’t have to stick to these rules. I remember hearing on R4 a while back that the French often claim some sort of local exemption to running EU wide tenders, thereby protecting their industry, we on the other hand play by the rules.

Wiggins has been saying “I’m going to have my say in a few weeks” as if he has new information. It seems as though he feels hard done to by Sky. I wonder what’s preventing him saying this before? Probably the threat of legal action from Sky. Large corporations funding hugely expensive and highly competent lawyers can be intimidating if you stand to lose your livelihood, house etc

We know Sky applied for and got TUE’s but what is the evidence that it was for PE. That’s not clear to me.

It really depends on how good the production and recording was in the first place. Unlikely you are going to get a better music experience with a hi res file of a Husker Du recording for example 😀

No ones getting rich with just a workshop, mechanics salaries are barely above minimum wage, and rents are too high in decent locations. The market is caught between those who do their own servicing and those who simply don’t use their bikes enough for it to need work.

In the Netherlands there are workshops at all of the major train stations, even there they have lots of work but always have a whiff of desperation.

I don’t see how a workshop only lbs will survive either, imo people just won’t pay labour rates for work done that will provide a reasonable income.

It’s not really an Alfa unless it’s red, rear wheel drive and petrol is it:) I had a bertone 2000, gtv6, and an alfetta. I look almost everyday on eBay for another one!

Sad, saw them on the bomber tour. Never forget that gig. He was underrated as a guitarist, had a blues background, and great technique.

Had a WRX wagon. Didn’t like it as the steering has no feel, so it’s hard to get the best out of the undoubtedly good handling. Can get a bike in the back though, and great in the snow!

I really like the Velocity a23 rims. Made in USA, tubeless ready and have super sweet ride. Just building second pair with these.

I think there is an implied contract in place. You expected the company to act and order the car thus incurring costs. They were acting in good faith. I think you are liable for those cancellation costs.

Disagree about the directors cut. It doesn’t include the introspective narration by deckard which gave the film, for me at least, an engaging quality.

Apart from this fiasco, I’ll try never to use them again. Bikes are £60 per flight compared to BA where they are free. But More than all of that is the very narrow uncomfortable seats.

Surprised the m3 ‘smart’ motorway hasn’t got a mention. seemingly always closed at night, I’ve been in tears of frustration especially when the diversion led all traffic into a high street with more roadworks.
