Selling and buying is a nightmare. Just moved into our new house and it will take ua a while to get over the stress. One thing though that did help is that we had direct contact with the seller over email. This enables us to understand the EA and solicitors progress and the sellers perspective.

I’ve done the trans cambrian, gower and also the brecons mountains route from bikepacking.com. All pretty good. On the gower route you are never far from a pub 😁 the other 2 routes get you into more remote and beautiful scenery. There is a FB group called bikepacking wales where people post up routes

Looking at the longer game. Perhaps having BJ keep on as PM serves to keep these parties in the forefront of peoples mind come next election….also plenty of time for him to be caught lying again between then and now…

    here’s hoping anyway..

If you had just read the script i don’t think it would be any different to a million other cop shows. However the production and acting really set it apart as brilliant. It shows that the BBC can produce/commission extraordinarily good content, something Nadine Dorries needs to acknowledge and preserve.

Ive got a netflix subscription and honestly rather 1 of these great shows than 50 generic output movies.

We’re doing 1 episode a night, to make it last!

Is there a chance the insurance company wants the inspection to assess the pre accident value and then only offer you the value at the time if you had sold it?

I think i read somewhere that Dershowitz recently used this agreement to successfully throw out the claim against himself.

What we haven’t seen yet is any corroborating evidence by either party.( I thought it odd that Roberts was not called to testify against Maxwell, )

I bought a pair of gore tex Merrells last year. They have already lost their waterproofing! Although past the one years warranty period, Merrell gave me full refund. Going back to lowas!

If you lived east of Stoke perhaps Leek, then you have access to the Peak District with awesome mtb and road riding options. If it was me I’d live east along the a50 and commute into Stoke if you have work there. Stoke is a very deprived area.

Am I right in thinking that MV is now disadvantaged for the race as he has less medium tyres left after flat spotting a set? Will this dictate their race strategy, whereas LH has more choices? I haven’t watched f1 in years but will tune in tomorrow!

I’ve literally just bought a house near llandod (llanbister) so great to hear your positive experiences of the area! Moving hopefully in January….Slightly apprehensive because of the language and (these) stories of anti-English feeling but plan to just be positive and throw ourselves into the local community. At the very least the riding/countryside will be good!

As above there is a SRAM videos. Follow the instructions to the letter and you will be rewarded with excellent shifting that rarely needs adjusting. It takes about 10 minutes. Assume you have the correct cassette, chainrings and chain? It won’t shift without!

I was told by a friend that the computer chip shortage is having a drastic effect on new car supply. Perhaps this is related to your troubles? If they’ve only got a few cars then they want to sell to those punters who have already made their choice without a test drive?

Spotify has quality settings…you need to click very high quality as playback in settings.
The Spotify ‘discover weekly’ is simply amazing and is a key reason for me to pay the premium subscription. That and download ability. I’ve found obscure music I would never have come across and then gone to see the band and even bought a t shirt!

As a seller When eBay works it’s great. The problem that has driven me away from it is the constant non-payers that just waste time and money. eBay doesn’t seem to do anything about them. CBA anymore with listing re-listing, hoping not to get scammed etc

Good experience with Wren here. We had a fairly good idea of what we wanted so the design was really a check it all fitted. Our builder installed it and no issues. Price wise it was cheaper than expected with a price match on appliances. Quality wise seems fine to me.

It might be that your rear calliper pistons are not moving as freely as they should. This could be due to seals or corrosion.

Fairlight Strael 2.0 in white here. Easily the best bike I’ve owned. Yes there’s a slight weight penalty against a carbon frame but you get so much more to make up for that.

I got rear ended by a chap in a Citroen Picasso who must of been looking at his phone. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and made a very nice skull indentation in the windscreen. Anyway my car bmw was a write off although hardly looked damaged. The Picasso just collapsed on impact.

Direct line was the insurer and made me a paltry offer. As said above the insurance is to make good your losses so should pay the going rate for exactly the same car. I trawled autotrader got several examples of similar cars and emailed these and they paid (eventually). I wonder how many people accept the first offer…it’s a game to wear you down…

We had a 2.0tdi gt which totally changed my perceptions of VW quality. Various things went wrong and as well as dpf issues. Had done just over 100k when a rod went through the engine on the A1. Never again…

Yeah, 4K is a must. I’d play the driving games at a good level so need hardware to support. Budget wise, around £2k, would that be enough?

I’m struggling to see how this can be fun to drive on the road without being dangerous or risk getting speeding fines. I’ve got my car insured through Reis which includes 6 track days for not much more than the years premium with other insurers. Then you can buy additional days if you like. Taking it to Silverstone or Donington will allow you to see the car at its full potential.

Interesting to consider his legacy…his ability to destroy sublime band line ups? He got fired from Hawkwind just at the point they were writing their best ever material. Then there was Eddie Clarke, who left over his insistence to go a record with Wendy o Williams. Motörhead was never the same again. And what was going on with him wearing nazi uniforms?
Anyway, Motörhead at Southampton gaumont on the ace of spades tour….best gig I’ve been too….,

There was an earlier suggestion to check on other builds the builder has recently done. I think this is a very good idea Knock on their doors and ask them if they had any problems. A builders honesty and quality will be quickly ascertained. For example.., how did they manage the snagging …

Putoline convert here. Used to use wax lubes on road bike all year. In winter the dry lube washes off too easily and the wet lubes just create a dark gritty mess. My experience with Putoline on road bikes for long winter rides is good; Chain is silent, the bike is cleaner as there is less fling off the chain, and it doesn’t come off in the first tussle with a deep ford.
I like not having to think about it each time I roll out the bike, it seems to last, so less hassle. Its 10 min job to redo it so for me, at least, its all good…not going back to little bottles of expensive wax…

Not sure I agree with your finding, the law states

    Restrictions on leaving home

1.—(1) No person who lives in the Tier 4 area may leave or be outside of the place where they are living without reasonable excuse.

As you say there is no mention of travel for exercise, the law just states

2.—(1) These are the exceptions referred to in paragraph 1.
Exception 1: leaving home necessary for certain purposes
    (2) Exception 1 is that it is reasonably necessary for the person concerned (“P”) to leave or be outside the place where P is living (“P’s home”)…

    (c)to take exercise outside

so it is arguable that travel for exercise is actually illegal l because as you state it is not detailed in the legislation as a permissible exception to the law nor is it in itself taking exercise. Obviously ianal and this is all hot air until a court of record gives some precedence.

It seems you appear to know more than the Human rights barrister quoted on the BBC article. Tell us more…

Love the fact alot of trendy types who now visit the great outdoors seem incapable of doing so without a coffee on the go
Forgetting of course that the plastic top has been pushed on manually with the hand of the barista, which they then put to their mouth, who may have a glove on or may not, who may have corona, or may not.

the sanctimony of people on here…so now takeaway coffees are not allowed..give me a break

Coronavirus: Women on exercise trip ‘surrounded by police’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-derbyshire-55560814

I saw this happening whilst walking my dog. How can the police hand out fines based on their individual discretion for behaviour that is deemed to break guidelines rather than the actual law. Derbyshire police have a history of his in first lock down.

Lots of good advice above. My twopence worth is to be patient, do a lot of research into the breed/breeder and be prepared to travel the length and breadth of the country for the right dog.

We found getting a rescue dog impossible (dogs trust) and didn’t like the breeders on oets4homes. So we got a list of working cocker KC licensed breeders then phoned around for a breeder we liked then put our name down for a puppy, then went to visit twice in a 6 hour round trip.

We’ve had Maple now for 4 months and couldn’t be happier with her.

Amazing job by Jean le cam, finding him in the dark with many tacks and 5m seas. From what I could read escoffiers beacon didn’t work properly so they had to predict his position with drift models. I also read that it was a PRB boat that rescued Jean le cam in 2009! Plus ca change etc etc

Sorry to hijack thread but I’ve got an associated question. Been using Putoline for road and mtb bikes. Very happy so far. My indoor trainer bikes chain is now creaky. Just wondering if I will get fling off the chain. I’m worried about getting wax on the carpet…anyone tried this??

But that the points isn’t it, they should have been extensively sea-tested beforehand. Whats the point of spending so much money without testing it thoroughly? So far thats three foiling boats broken I think….john le cam looks good for the win!

Interested in this comment although I have an F31 320d. I’d like to get mine remapped for all the usual fun vs economy reasons – how does the drive train rate / do you know the limits you can go to without risking adverse affects ?

The BMW (auto) gearbox I had was ZF and good for high bhp, not sure what box is in a F30 though. It might be that the same box is specced for higher power models anyway so it should cope..I would avoid all the boxes/plugins and go for a dyno remap with a reputable outfit.
