The thing I don’t get with this imperial system is why the effort is so half hearted.

Why not go the whole hog and re-introduce the imperial money system.

Because if his opponenets are going on about this imperial nonsense then they are not going on about partygate. Best thing we can do is ignore it . Besides the only thing they don’t do halfarsed is line the pockets of their mates

But isnt it behind a cover ?, at least mine is. You remove the cover, take the battery out and replace the cover. So its not exactly ‘open’ to the elements

Certainly on the Trek bikes the cover is bolted onto the battery so battery off, cover off.

I have used a trek rail 5 on a 599 with the battery removed (only really used from Falkirk to Keith and back) worst bit was driving into forestry commission car parks (potholes made you aware of bike on roof) Also do agree with lifting bike on roof (can be heavy) regards water on electrics you can get plugs for the battery connections on the bike. but overall seems up to job.

I saw that he was given a reading from Philippians.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

To be fair he just read words that people wanted him to say just like everything else that comes out his mouth he doesn’t need to mean it he just says what folk want to hear whether there is a shred of truth or not.

Owner of a 2014 Relay. there is an issue with these age (does say 2012, google ford puma oil pump failure)) of oil pump chucking it at 80000 miles I changed mine for 100 quid in parts and 4 hours work (not a difficult job, hardest bit cutting sump off block without damage). I done mine out of concern as it would take the engine out

I seen 1.94 at Beith but the surprising thing was diesel was cheaper (every other station the diesel is dearer than the petrol)

I bought XTR when it very first came out and realised to change chain, rings and cassette was over a weeks wages (didn’t last great either). After that I just ran the bike as they came (only changing kit that annoyed/ wasn’t up to job) which was not much really. Do buy droppers if the bike didn’t come with one though.

I know we love history and all that, but i never understand why we spend so much trying to preserve things in a state that are long past and more often than not, useless against today’s technology and ability.

Just knock the place down, get the company that slaps up tescos or asdas and then buy some kit from ikea, you could save £10 billion 😁

And sell the old place to spoons for mates rates (might as well the amount of pi$$ they are taking out the public).

The Brexit referendum 2016 and General Election 2019 say otherwise.

There was still a lot of gullible who did not think he was as big a liar as he has proved to be, I think (ok hope) all but the hardest of thinking may be less forgiving, although having said that I will still vote SNP as a lot of the little Englanders cannot be counted on to do the right thing.

I actually think that the fact they are desperate to keep that clown in charge shows just how screwed they are. I mean they are taking a huge gamble that the public will forgive him come the next election. Really all the opposition parties need to be pointing out that by voting your local Tory candidate you are saying you are okay about Bozo being in charge.

Well, this is going to be tough winter for a lot of people who voted Tory for the first time when backing Johnson. A winter or spring election would not go well for him.

Might be playing the long game, he has fubared everything up that winter will be a disaster anyway, but if labour are in charge the weak of thinking will accept it was Labours fault in years to come (for the winters disaster)

To be fair the fact he has resigned shows he seems to have more integrity than the rest of the tory MPs.

Brainbox Grant Schapps has proposed – as part of this ‘innovative new thinking’ Boris requested – having an MOT every two years instead of every year to tackle the cost of living crisis

Great so the poorest (who could struggle to legally maintain a vehicle can run around for longer in a potential deathtrap) to save £50 every second year, meanwhile energy has doubled and food is up significantly

I think Allegra Stratton’s problem was that she was the only person anywhere near Downing Street in possession of a sense of shame

That and the fact she is a pleb like us.

Was a copy and paste job as it was titled FPNs and I asked about the ministerial code. Who thinks I should get back on to him?

No you need to get as many different people within your constituancy to email him (and threaten to vote next most likely to win party) as I do believe they gauge the ill feeling by numbers of emails not the content of an email.

I park on a road regularly where people park on the pavement (I assume so no one takes their mirror off when passing) however I think they are only encouraging people to squeeze through hence increasing the likliehood of damage. Also on one particular day in lockdown when the street was rammed 2 of the cars (both parked on pavement got scratched, I assumed an irate parent with a buggy)

It is an extraordinary decision for someone who has a complete inability to do anything well.

He knows when to take the blame and shut his mouth. I mean how can you possibly sack someone but get them a knighthood.

I bought a relatively new Octavia (diesel) about a year ago 8 months old with 3500 miles quite a good spec SEL for £16500, did have a look at a volvo at twice the price (brand new and top spec) but worked on the assumption I would get 10 years and if it was worth nothing then it has cost £1650 per year in depreciation which I was happy to live with. It also depends where you stay and what the likeliehood of charges (congestion) are in your immediate area.

Third letter (email) sent to my MP in as many weeks. They’re declining in their civility.

He responded to the first, not since.

I still think people with a Tory MP should email whether they get a reply or not as I think they will still judge what their constituents think of them and ‘may’ act accordingly. So if you have a Tory MP get him emailed.

Really are clutching at straws trying to blame the wife, if he was a true leader and he was ambushed by cake, beer, Nadine, then he should have told them thanks but get rid of the cake etc as he needs to be seen to be doing the right thing ( I am pretty sure any other prime minister we have had would have got the Mr/Mrs told)
