Some folk on here need to climb off of their very tall horses –

I've paid already for access to FC trail-centres, through working all work. I don't smoke, drink to excess, call the police, get n trouble with the law, etc and so on. (Therefore no drain on the public kitty)

I have the right to access an FC trail-centre on a weekend or any other day for that matter to ride my bike which (which i paid tax on), drive there (which I have paid tax on the fuel to get me there), etc, etc.

Tax, tax and more tax, come on lets all show our agreement for another effin tax.

YIPPEE, I LOVE PAYING TAX ME

    b r – Like your style 🙂

    I had the same problem and kept chasing it away with a clothes prop! It kept getting away, (too quick you see), until one day I caught it spying on a little birdy and WHACK caught it good-style;

Never saw it again after that day!

I really like the look of the dropped big-ring w/o bashguard.

Trieed it myself but the chain-ring bolts were too long 😕

@ Anthony – You definitely need them, my rear brake cable has rubbed in to the fork crown that bad that it looks like dent!

Mine did not although 'Cycle Sports UK' sent me some velox anyway.

I believe WheelPro are the only seller to chuck in the Stans yellow strip, which to say it costs a tenner on it's own is pretty good value imo.

I use glueless patches and they work fine and are invisible.

    or

Use a bit of duct-tape, (if vanity isn't an issue)…

I had the same problem whilst in the middle of the 'Marin Trail' and a big pain in the backside was it…

I took my shifter appart, greased it and haven't had the same trouble since.

Might be worth a try before taking back…

@05-five – I don't doubt there are benefits to the tubeless 'system' i'm just not interested until it's a properly fit n forget 'system'. It's not all cut and dry though.

The rolling weight is a sure 'pro' to going tubeleess. However, grip is arguable. I mean extra weight is benefit to grip just as in the same way D H bikes are designed to hug the surface whereas XC bikes are more akin to skimming the trail… – Weight v rolling resistance.

Until then I'll stick to my tubes and let the willing others do the product development for me.

@05-five – Running tubes – I've had '0' punctures in the last year. I ride local XC in Bronte Country (West Yorks) and trails in England & Wales. So if it continues in this vein, then tubes are more reliable than tube'less'by your results.

@Vanapan – You could do away with sealant the same way we did away with sealant for wooden flooring. I.e Product development.

You fund it if you want but count me out.

Take yer mum, out spoil her, take the weight off her.

Then, go have a polite word with the manager, advise him to back-off without delay;) tell him that your mum is leaving anyway but expects normal notice conditions. I.e, paid for remaining holidays, a months wage, a fair reference, etc.

If he refuses, burn him alive, it's your Mum after all and you did give him the chance to co-operate.

tubeless 'systems' are work in progress – Let me know when they have the 'system' right and I'll probably purchase, until then i'll stick wi tried n tested.

All the need for sealant, etc is just fackin ridiculous imo

    DO NOT USE THEM

Same as 'Prophet' The product i ordered clearly stated 'in-stock', which was a pair of gloves bought for a xmas present, the item wasn't stock and there was no communication whatsoever until i chased them a week later, yet they took my money the day of the order, (cheeky ****ts). When i complained, and told them it was a gift, they didn't accept responsibility. Item arrived 2 weeks after ordering.

Very poor indeed – My rating = HIGHLY UNRECOMENDED especially in such a competitive market.

I know a good mechanic who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. He's in Wakefield, West Yorks. I can ask him for you if this is within travelling distance for you?

Damon – if yer can't cook a burger mate, you need to get out the kitchen.

Next time i'll bring my own food and eat it on your tables. 👿

I once paid £6.95 for a burger that wasn't cooked properly and £2 odd for a hot chocolate…

No matter where this is if yer charging that much for food, it needs to be cooked right.

adam1330 – the wheels you are torn between are so good in there own right, then it's bound to come down to how they look mate.

And for that reason, I agree the SPs are the more attractive, undoubtedly stiffer (imo) and rarer which is always a plus.

For that reason go with the SPs… And no i'm not on commission 😀

I 'upgraded' to Pro SP-AMs with DT EX500 rims and they are seriously stiff mate.

they just can't be knocked off line.

Besides that, they look better and you rarely seem em about.

They are dearer, but you pay for performance and if you see them as an investment, you should be able to get over the price dif.

Only thing I would say is go for the Pro2 SPs rather than the Pro3 SPs like I because of rotor availibility.

SP all the way, you won't regret it 🙂

Speaking form experience 'dave_aber' – twice in a month.

Got Pro3 SP-AMs now and they're mint. strong, stiff and light.

And Njee, SP spokes are only a call to any dealer who sells the 'SP' complete build wheelsets away.

The only disadvantages imo are cost.

yes there is a bit of play in them but they should deffo fit…

    fackit

There is no reason that it should not fit, hold the wheel tight then thread the maxle, i have Pro3s with the 20mm kit fitted and use with a maxle and it's snug but it definitley fits…
