    Hey Hitman,

The main thing is make sure they have a job, can pay the rent and have money for a deposit pay. You can get people checked out as well – for credit and tenancy history as well. As you will be there as well it’s also very important that you can get on, so be upfront with rules and your own quirks and make sure you find out theirs as well.

There’s my spareroom.com thats set up for this type of thing. Also if you get a couple you can charge more and have the other room empty – or even rent them both so they can use one as a dressing room/lounge.

There are many ways to rent a room – to start ask around your friends as they might know someone who needs a room.

    Hope this helps.

I’m all for Ashtanga as well, it’s the only yoga worth doing as it builds strength as well as improving balance, lung power and your core muscles. There’s not of that chanting business as well. However if you can’t find an Ashtanga course/teacher Hatha might be a good second resort.

If that’s a bit hard to come by as well try indoor bouldering. Again it’s fantastic for building you core muscles improving strength and balance whilst being really good fun. It teaches you how to work with your own weight. When you get into it you can achieve a Zen like state as with yoga, then you can go to pub afterwards to discuss your technique.

I use the Sealskinz with a thin thermal liner inside them combo as well.

If that doesn’t work you can put overshoes on as well, all that layering should mean toasty tootsies.

How about Titanium? I was using one of our Stanton Bikes prototype XC bikes last year and I think I’m converted to Ti. Sub 22lbs built up, handling nice and direct also found it comfy for long days out riding. Could be down to the amount of flex you get inherently with Ti.
