They are good, but unless you have them on all your bikes it gets a bit confusing. Specially if you change with out ‘thinking’

Saying I bought a shadow to standardise shifting across my bikes. So I have a XT RR sat around doing nothing,

    You weren’t lying.

Excessive wear from too many bike builds maybe?

A good tip is to not tighten your STI’s fully to the bars. Just make sure they don’t move under your weight.

If you come of the STI will have a bit of give and will hopefully reduce damage to them.

The KS salmon/black were my original choice but they weren’t in stock.

Once I get through the Swiss stops I’ll try the KS.

Why are your selling the wheels, logo/valve is bang on

    Nice frame – huge rockers!

Bed sheet could do with an iron though

I wouldn’t say it’s the “wrong” approach as such but if I see something and want it I tend not to be too bothered about value for money.

I’d rather pay £2k and get slx on a bike I really liked than pay £2k on something I wouldnt look twice at if it didn’t have an xtr rear mech etc.

    Horses for courses etc.

Ivans going to teach us to such eggs next :D

Yes it was 2 pairs so a full set (4 blocks) I bought mine from Cycle Surgery in Spittlefields. They’ll fit into your DA cartridges and come with screws.

But CRC have them for 22.99 I got the GHP greens.

CRC voucher £10 off if you spend more than £50 TK10

If we’re now at 12 times that rate, at most only 1 in 12 of the obese are obese because of a medical condition.

What medical condition, can you give an example?

    Set up spin farms.

Everyone has to spin for 30 mins a day – if you’re unemployed you spin for longer.

All the energy generated is fed into the national grid and we all benefit from having cheaper fuel and everyones fitter to boot.

Radical I know, Feasible probably not, have I been staring at my hamster for too long – probably.

I’ve just bought some swiss stop at a bargain price of £24.99 8O

But Dura-ace pads are £18 for full set so £6 for better stopping power when it could potentially be your like on the line is much in the scheme of things.

This is all hypothetical at the moment as I’ve not fitted them, but in theory…

Is it the one with 700c wheels?

    They’re really nice bikes

Is this going to turn out to be some sort of viral thing later on?

yeah, I’m not sure where it’s going.

But the 29th thing and getting girls together suggests so campaign type thing.

    Maybe there’s a prize.

Me just posting means it has turned viral.

resting heart rate is not a measure of fitness from one person to another 70 is fine when fit if that is what you are. Mine is 45, never been fit though

OK it’s not a measure of ‘fitness’ but it’s a measure of efficient heart and cardiovascular function.

Miguel Indurain had resting heart rate of 28

Wasn’t he at risk of his heart stopping when he was asleep?

May not mean much but if you’re trying to get fitter, it is a good indicator isn’t it?

Hmm – given that it’d be in space, why would it need to be built like a modern warship? And would it not be cheaper to just mine Mars?

Or just stick an engine on Mars and drive off in it.

My money would be on the Nerve 7.0 or 8.0 or added bling factor.

Depends if you want XT or XO – Shimano or Sram I have both and can say I don’t have a favorite. Although the XO is a carbon cage. 8.0’s got Talas forks and uppy/downy but as Gribs said you can upgrade that post.

Is is a UK based thread?

If not, a resplendent quetzal in Costa Rica – well not really – saw lots of Toucans and humming birds though.

Best in UK is Hawks hunting in marsh lane – which is in Rural Leyton, E10. The way they move so impressive.

8O Hats off to you 45 milers.

Mines a measly 6-11 miles each way (depending on where I’m working) on by road bike with mudguards and possibly the biggest bag you can get for your back.

It makes me about 1st heavier which I see as a bonus as I’m positively flying when I’ve not got it on (I’d like to think anyway).

I’ve got one with the forks I bought, seems pretty good to me I was using a USE ring-no-star but this seems easier to adjust and more solid.

I like the contrast of the blue against the biege wall. It reminds me of hockneys early work.

What size are your rotors? From this angle it looks like the big ones on the back, when tradition states the big one should be up front.

    Nice though, well done.

Sorry to hear about you troubles. About £350/400 is right for a cocker. We have quite a few friends who have cockers and it seems that’s the going rate for a working cocker.

Have you tried the RSPCA, if she is dodgy they may know of her if they don’t you should report her it could help your situation if she is convicted.

I hope the pup gets healthy, it sounds like it came away far too young and it wasn’t best looked after whilst it was with her anyway.

I can understand why you want the papers but unless you’re going to stud/hunt/show the dog they don’t really matter but for £350 you should be entitled to them.

Good luck and the pup get better soon.

    *has nothing to say*

Is told by housemate, never to get inbetween a man and his pie….

    Never, ever, ever…. ever

the best pies are Pools pies

Another niche pie brand. We need accessible pies for those who grew up having decent pies but through no fault of their own find themselves presented with flaky crusts.

. And even though I refer to their cheese & onion pies as plastic and onion pies – they are a taste sensation and the most fitting partner to Heinz baked beans.

Find me I better cheese and onion pie, send it me email in profile, If I agree I’ll gift you £10* and the cost of postage.

BTW I like chips and curry sauce with my Hollands C&O – maybe a muffin if I’m feeling the hunger.

I’m Premier and I still get the SD ads. I had a look at the bikes and they cost less than a pair of tyres.

We’ve got one local so I’ll pop in a check their wares.

There’s always someone to tag on to at Epping, there’s a guy who rides from Hainault to Hollow ponds every lunchtime on a blue ST4. He’s quite knowledgeable about the trails and knows some nice trails.

Also Heals Cycles [/url] do group runs in the forest. I think Weds evening and Sundays.

I was just speaking from my personal experience which due to over extension. I had a burning sensation on the oustside of each knee, which came on after a few hours in the saddle. It went the day after but came back on the next big ride, so I dropped the saddle a bit and it’s been good every since.

Your problem could be a myriad of things but it’s a process of elimination.

The whole Arab spring is a desperate mess, you get rid of one despot only to install another / others. It’s a god awful situation in the middle east. There’s no justice for the common man.

It’s saddle position I nearly crippled myself on a ride to Whitstable a from Hackney a few years ago.

My saddle was about 1 inch too high and my legs were at full extension. I couldn’t complete the ride and had to hobble to the train statation.

I’d get the bike you want for how good you think you’ll be in 12 months not right now.

You don’t want to be ‘under-biked’ when you’re rippin’ that sh*t up do you?

I’d get one of these beauties if I had 2k to spend on a bike.
