they deserve to be done for attempted murder.

The driver needs to be banned and the car confiscated.

Hope Mr Scargill makes a full recovery and hopefully he’ll be able to claim on the little pricks insurance, if he had any.

It’s been a great race to watch so far. The only crap bit is the way ITV cuts to an ad break right as something exciting is happening.

Suppose they can’t help tht but it does spoil the excitement.

Very nice indeed, but the chain should be on the big ring for photos.

I was going to follow the ‘rules’, but I thought it might look like I was trying too hard.

It’s a shame Klein disappeared as they made some fantastic bikes.

*come back Gary we miss you* 😥

I’ve been signed up to emusic.com for a few years now.

You don’t get much pop on there as non of the majors will sign up to but for indie stuff and finding good new music it’s excellent.

The mp3 inport into itunes then are uploaded to itunes match, from there to my phone/ipad etc. But you can put them wherever you want and there’s no DRM either.

Sorry I thought you were after buying music not just organising it. 😳 *must read the full post before offering my tuppence worth in future.*

My road bike was done by Argos before I bought it. Both frame and forks we powdercoated and it looked really good.

But according to certain threads on other forums they do a brilliant job but it can take a while. So if you’re not in a rush give them a go.

If you really want a Chris King you should buy one, you deserve it. 😆

You’ll still have it in 6 bikes time according to Chris Kings website. So that’s only £21.665 per bike.

Good value if you ask me. 😀

I have just broke part of the clamp ion my titanium USE post, which was doing duty on my road bike.

I have put a carbon post on now and notice how much less comfortable the post it (even though it does move a bit) – the USE post was nicely springy.

Have you rung USE? They might be able to fix it. I had a 20 year old shockpost which I tried to service. In short the service didn’t work so I rung USE and they asked me to send it in so they can look at it. It turned out they could do anything so they offered me a new post at trade. They really didn’t have to, but they did.

So they may be able to sort something out for your old post.

Put an Orange sticker on it, and you’d sell boat loads of ’em…

There’d be a 5 mile queue of Audis, with roof racks ready.

How about USE Alien or Sumo, they make brilliant seat posts and have done for years.

The Sumo post is lighter and nicer looking (in my opinion) than the Eternity.

I’ve had USE posts since the mid 90’s and always found them great plus their customer service is as good as Hopes in my experience.

    I don’t have a cross bike – yet!

But that’s gone on the list, it’s very nice.

I did cycle proficiency at school, teaching kids a bit of road safety is not a bad idea.

Personally I’d like to see a cycling segment in the driving test. It would raise awareness of how vulnerable cycles are.

Only 250, thank ***k for that.

Money can’t buy you taste but it can buy ‘that’.

BTW what link is that, looks very DW to my untrained eye?

1 more for the Sports Direct kit. Think it’s by Karrimor and was only £4.99

I just use the brushes, the hanging/drying hook is a crap, plus it doesn’t work on an antidote bladder.

    Thanks for the replies.

I’ve orders the bearings from Merlin, thanks CaptainMainwaring.

@ OrangeJohn, where did you get your drift? I’ve got a makeshift press, which a threaded rod with an assortment of large washers on. For removal I was going to use the old ‘socket on an extension bar give it a light whack with a rubber mallet method’.

When I’ve got more time to I’ll explore the non hope bearing route – but I’m in bit of a rush this time round.

    try lfgss.com

is where all the hipsters with beards/skinny jeans and aero spokes hang out.

Email the nice people at http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/community/ or your local track/cycle club. You’re more likely to get a real (well looked after) track bike rather than a fashion accessory.

There’s such a limpic love in at the moment – It’s brillaint, even black cab drivers are being as ****ish towards cyclists. 🙂

I just walked past a lightbulb hatted guy in Hamersmith – he looked a bit worse for wear.

They get to keep the outfit as well – he said he was never taking it off – I wouldn’t either.

I pootled off on my 23 year old steel bike with a smug feeling inside.
And like the Murphy’s I’m not bitter..

Not bitter, jealous – yes, it was a lovely bike.

My comment about ho clipping in was more to do with his traffic position right in the middle of 2 lanes – if you can’t clip in and get a shift on. With all those Chelsea tractors about. Just a bit dangerous if you ask me.

As for team kit – if you’ve earn’t it wear it.

Cycling home through Kensington last night I saw some guy on a spanking new Canyon AEROAD CF9.0 SL. He had full team kit on and made a point of stopping in the middle of the road.

Then when the lights turned he couldn’t get his foot in his carbon clipless pedal. 😳 I pootled off on my 23 year old steel bike with a smug feeling inside.

I’d jump at the chance of of bike like that .

Here’s an 89 to whet your appetite.

Edit There’s one for sale here

Also if your buying carbon, aluminium or any bike that is likely so have seen any abuse, it’s hard to tell exactly when something will need replacing.

When I’m buying a 2nd hand bike, the frame is the most important thing. As long as it’s in good condition (no major dings/marks/scratches etc), with minimal signs on wear in bearings and drivetrain is enough to make a judgement on the condition, isn’t it?

Reduced speed limits to 20mph in urban areas.

I’m not sure this will work, more awareness on both sides will. There’s too much us and them at the end of the day we are all traffic.
