    Anydyl gets 20 points

“The basic roll-with-a-hole design is hundreds of years old and has other practical advantages besides providing for a more even cooking and baking of the dough: the hole could be used to thread string or dowels through groups of bagels, allowing for easier handling and transportation and more appealing seller displays.”

Bagels are Jewish therefore they’re not designed for pork related products hence the hole. 😕

    Hope that clears that up.

John is right about the smell, we went in summer and it dint arf pen ‘n’ ink.

But saying that, you won’t get bored, there’s so much to do. Shopping, eating, looking etc.

Just don’t go up the Empire States, the views god but getting there is horrible it takes a good few hours to get up and down. You’ll also have to be prepared to be shouted at by the staff on the way up. Do the rockafeller centre instead.

You have answered your own question. It runs down your legs and in the big hole at the top.
If you don’t want to tape your leg scrounge an old m/c inner tube. A front off road size is about right. Say about 3″. Cut a section and fit it to your leg before putting shoes on. Use it as an overlap to the overshoes/socks. Bombproof and reuseable.
If you bhave skinny legs use your old push bike tubes!

Genius 😀 and a bit kinky

    How big was it?

Seakskinz are good. But if the waters running down your leg they might be as bad as you overshoes.

Where you on the road or a MB?

Waterproof trousers and sealskinz work really well for me when it’s tipping it down.

I’ve only got one road bike as well. 😥

One day I’ll have a fancy pants ‘good’ bike – maybe.

Got my medium today and I think it’s a bit big.

Anyone fancy swapping for a small?

It’s very thick as well, might be too thick for riding in unless its extremely cold.

I’ve ridden up sunrising hill. 😯 😯 😯 8O. I made it up -just, but I was on a MB, always thought about trying it on a road bike.

There’s LOTS of singletrack, but no hills to speak off. I used to ride there in the old days when I was at college but that was in the days of rigid, 8 speed bikes with cantilever brakes.

On today’s steam rollers it’d be a bit dull.

I’ve been recommended the front spots by people who do regular mbro35’s night rides in Epping. Apparently the single kit is better than the twin. I’ll be investing in one next week.

For a rear there’s loads on Merlin’s site for about 25/30£ that will do the job.

    The Mars are good.

I also saw a moon rear in broad daylight and it was super bright, if I was getting a new rear it’d be one of those.

Yup. No mediums for me. So told them to ship the small and see if I can suck in my gut enough.

I’ve just had a email saying my medium’s on the way. If its too big for me, do you fancy a swap for your small if it’s too small that is.

That £300 is to include new wheels and brakes…

Rim brakes Magura HS33/racelines or Disc hubs adapters and brakes suggestions.

I’m be more impressed if they rode up those hills.

That’s where ‘real’ mountain biking cam from.

Wear baggies if you like, but when you get caught up in the saddle you’ll soon realise what you SHOULD be wearing.

It might not look good but it’s better than broken bones.

For me, my Helly Hanson Lifa base layers are much dryer than my Howies merino tops.

They do get much smellier than merino though, Also merino will get loose when wet and HH keeps it’s form so for wicking it’s better.

When worn under a mid I find it hard to tell which one works better as a thermal.

    That was clever.

Can’t go wrong with this .

Go for class 10, the 16gb version of that is only £26.

I’ll repeat what other above have said.

Go to john Lewis and buy a Samsung smart TV – we did and it’s great. The ITV player app is great and much better quality than when streaming from the computer connected to it (which is connected by HDMI).

The staff will answer all your questions honestly, (unlike the commission based sales people at the electrical sheds on retail park) and you’ll get a 5 year guarantee.

What lights are you using, how many and where (2 on bars, one on bike+1 on head, just one)?

I’m going tomorrow but all I have is a joystick. everyone else will be burning many thousands of lumens so hopefully I can just use their light.

Do I run the risk of a face meets tree scenario?

Lizzie on the bike show said it’d ‘only’ cost £450k a year for a women’s team to Jeff banks.

I say good on him, personally I’d love to see a women’s tour circuit along side the men’s. They train just as hard so why can’t they have the same prizes and exposure.

    It might do.

Steve’s not here anymore and Tim likes to make money, lots of money and then some more money to cover the huge pile of money he’s made, in money.

We’ll find out in October innit. The 7’s not about competing with the iPad as there are no worthy competitors yet. iI’s to kill off the middle ground competition.

Or you could wait until next month and get a shiney new 7″ iPad.

I’ve used both and found NF and LF streaming packages and found that they are both pretty similar which was niether one had anything I really wanted to watch.

All the films are pretty old and have probably been on tv or are in your dvd collection. As for the tv series they only have a few seasons of anything decent.

However I think love film are doing HD streaming, but they use silverlight which is about a 1000’s sh*tter than flash.

Basically I think they are both very limited, Netflix in the states is meant to be really good but over here with Sky’s strangle hold on decent US tv, it’s bit of a lame duck.

    I’ve got a pair of size 43 m064L’s (an emergency buy as I forgot mine) I don’t need/want.

They’re only 1 ride old and in perfect condition and still have the new shoes smell.

Your’s for £35 posted without cleats.

I’m more of a wuss coming down – scared of heights – and the Stelvio looks an awesome climb.

Is there an opposite of an uplift service?

    It’s called a taxi 😉

The location was a funny one this week, it was like in some back office then in the garden – weird. Maybe they fell out with Look mum no hands.

As of for Als Q, it might be something to do with the sheer enormity of the task – you always build things up in your head to be much bigger than they actually are.

Personally I’d love to try a climb like that, just to see if I could do it. I’d probably have the ‘Oh no, I can’t…’ half way up then get over myself and finish the job.

Anxiety, nerves, confidence, paranoia, self esteem (lack off) must all play a part.
