    PAH!, just date and time.

You want to multifunction yo ass.

You can get 4 for your budget -keep one give them to 3 mates. Imagine the fun you’d have.

    Arse over the back wheel,

arms straight but not locked and relaxed

tongue hanging out optional but not recommended.

That’s the way I roll … down hill.

I’ve just bought some of those

    RXs?

    Bargain Huh? 🙂

I’ve got some RX’s on a bike I bought this week

They seem awfully ‘bitey’ compared to my Hopes. I’m preparing myself for an OTB or 2. 😐

The Merlin deal is fantastic £134 for a full brake set.

I’ve got a bikes with XO, XT and XTR

Shifting’s fine one all but I’d go with XT and XTR so much so I’m thinking of flogging the XO and going putting Xt on it.

It does look nice though with all the carbon finery.

*jumps into thread uninvited and hijacks it*

Anyone wear Sweet protection bearsuit pads?

I fancy some of them or POCs as they offer good protection and all day riderbiltity†

†Yes I made that word up sorry, I know it’s bad form but everyone’s making up words with …bility at the end.

I heard what’s the jucebility of that carrot the other day 😯

    £400 is cheap?

    Idiot content post

£400 IS cheap in the context of a carbon HT. You’d be hard pushed to buy any frame from a known brand for that price point, never mind a carbon one.

    Drats! curse my slow typing

    eyerideit

It’s a carbon frame for £399. How do you think they manage to sell them so cheaply?

    Right, because it’s a factory second 😕

BC: wouldn’t damage in transit mean damage to the packaging?

    OP was the box damaged?

Enough sleuthing, I’m off to bed.

My new* soloist is coming on Tuesday. It’ll be rigid for a while until I can buy some suss forks.
What are you running and do you have a SS specific hub or just spacers?

Post up a pic please, I’d like to see your build.

Can’t wait to ride it 😛

    *new to me that is?

More to the point, how are you going to ride it when the rest pf the photo suggests severe visual impairment?

    😀

    That’s rubbish.

Send it back, that’s just f***ing sloppy work.

I know of 2 other people who had to ream their on-ones headtube.

If I was buying a new frame I’d expect everything to be perfect and ready to be built up.

Sounds like poor Q C to me.

I built one and loved it now I’m buying a proper one and have developed an impressive tache in doing so.

It’s great, but on the first few rides my right thumb twitched and on a few hills, but that’s passed now.

I think there’s a lot of stripping high end bikes down, and selling on the parts which are less traceable

This or building/changing parts out so it doesn’t look like your bike anymore. If they nick enough bikes then this is quite easy to do.

Depressing huh? Sorry to hear about your bike as well

Are we on the Circle Line? I’m sure we’ve been here already.

Maybe you should get off before you do a loop then.

Shall we talk about critical shite better instead? 😀

What if you’re a racial minority and cycle, how’s the abuse ‘almost’ classified then?

    Hyper-racism?

    Cyclical-neo fascism?

But seriously being verbally abused on a bike is nowhere near being abused for being a dirty f***king P*ki B*stard – believe me I know.

RLJ achieves nothing apart from p1ssing off other road users. It doesn’t get you anywhere quicker. All it proves is you’re a selfish c***.

I laugh when I see cyclists pulled over for RLJing, their expressions are priceless.

proof that there are as many knobs on bike as in cars… tell him where to go, light up dude! maybe dip the position to pish less people off but definitely light up. Its the cyclists without lights thats the problem = death wish.

This is very true and it seems the increase in bike traffic means there is a disproportionate increase in knobbery. At the moment it seems we’re getting close to level of black cab drivers in the selfish d*ckhead stakes.

You really don’t need a 12 gazzillion lumen light in london, but since you’ve got one just aim it down as Mike says above.

I’ve never had a faulty MTB Airwave tube they seem seem fine. But on my road bike I’ve had 1 with a duff valve ands out of 20 or so.

Airwave form CRC, 10 for £24.99 but if you buy them individually you can get them for £2.39 each.

I’m about to put my 94 explosif up for sale.

It’s got vertical drops so would need to be changed for slots like Messiahs

I’ve been enjoying it on a single speed, tis bit of a challenge but doable.

I just hate the claggy stuff that grips your wheel and doesn’t let you push though.

Saw some deer running through the forest last Saturday – a fantastic sight.

I really like Exposure lights, I’ve got a joystick and would really like the bigger ones as well.

But as good as the Flash/Flare look and work I’d go for a Moon Shield/Gem combo instead.

Smaller, maybe brighter and but definitely less of a faff to charge.

It sounds counter-intuitive but if you actually push away on the brake hoods rather than pull, it can help to get it right- try it!

That’s what I learn on rollers push back and lock your core

    eyerideit

Rollers are great for learning how to pedal smoothly and strengthening your core.

And Ned Overends book has a good section about peddling in circles. HE recommends finding a slight gradient and using one leg to pedal.

    eyerideit

Soma has it, you’re stamping on the peddles and not peddling in circles i.e. smoothly
