Go for Elite, I bought some Antares a few years ago and they build quality isn’t great. The problems can be fixed but they shouldn’t be there in the first place, maybe newer version are designed better.

here’s a link that addresses common problems on them.

and here’s more reasons to avoid them.

One’s not an icon, it’s not got fancy tubes, it’s heavier but its just as good to ride.

    They’re pikes on the Sanderson.

I only know that because of the number on the bridge

The Breath was like a slightly heavier and more modern version of an Explosif I once had.

I can vouch for this statement. I’ve ridden my explosif and soloist on the same trails and will CATEGORICALLY state that Sandersons are very Kona-esque.

It’s a shame they’re heavier, and it’s a shame my explosif only has a 1″ headtube and no disc tabs. Otherwise I’d be keeping it.

I saw a guy in CyB at christmas who made mudguards out of an old tyre.

but I notice it has got a 1×10 drivetrain, so ha! trendy boy

    *Ahem front mech alert!*

Nice, like the smooth welds and the cable stops. It’s 853 so what’s not to like?

Looks like a great build, quality components in fact I can’t find anything to be hating on and I’ve tried.

    😉

Being ultra picky I’d say there’s no long to align with the valve on the front tyre and that’s all I got.

I had a phase of eating boiled potatoes in yoghurt and chives. Also Peperami sticks and cold fried egg sandwiches. I might have been pregnant?

😯 Bet you had very messy back pockets.

BTW how did you manage to eat a friend egg butty on the move?

I think the spark case is the same as the joystick. Dimensions are

    260mm x 160mm x 65mm

I was going to suggest dried/cured meat, but though it might be a bit weird. Not many carbs though.

If i was packing meat, Pastrami would be my meat of choice.

Peanuts carbs, protein and a bit of salt.

I took dried fruit today instead if energy bars/gel. In a small bag were 6/7 dried figs, they tasted great no heartburn/dodgy stomach and healthy. Get down to your ‘elf food shop and check it out.

Trail mix is also very good as are rice cakes, plain or flavoured ones.

Peanut butter on a roll, take a bite when you feel like it.

The pressure drive was on my jersey pocket list, Is it that bad?

I’ve got a leyzene HP floor drive mini for commuting, it’s really good and i was thinking about the HV version for the MB. But the Topeak mini floor pump and the one Charlie posted are now on the list as well.

Charlie: the Axiom pump says it’s got a lifetime guarantee. Is that a real lifetime guarantee or for the lifetime of the pump, however long that may be. Is it as we’ll built as a Leyzene?

    Thanks Jota, that’s it. 8)

I don’t remember setting that up it must have done in rolling around in my pocket/bag, when it’s not locked.

    😳

Must remember to turn off or lock when it’s not one the bike

Is it? I was just going of London marathon figures and thought it’d be similar to that. £500’s doable, ill look into it.

I didn’t enter, but my friend did and he got a place.

There’s still charity places available, but you’ll have to raise over 1k or thereabouts for the privilege.

I went to a meeting today and had puncture on the way.

Looked in my bag and realised my pump was in my Camelbak 😈 net result I was over 1 hour late and not being anywhere near a bike shop meant it took me about 2 hours to get home. This meant I was behind on work so will have to catch up over the weekend.

So now I’d like a pump for the commuting bag (which I have) a dinky saddlebag pump for road rides and one in the camelbak.

I’ve got a z510 chain and split the link to put onto my Sanderson from my Kona, it’s been fine so far. It’s had a 100 mile on it since I did it.

I’ve got some Durins and Thors, bot are excellence.

The 2012’s are quite cheap at CRC at the moment.

    It’s a corporate thing

    Is this because:

    A. You work for Shimano?

    B. You keep your cycling shoes on all day? A business suit and Mavic shoes would be looked down on.

    C. Your manager doesn’t like Mavic shoes and you really want a promotion?

If yes to any of the above, I recommend these:

They come in a number of styles and colours. I’m sure the powers to be would wholeheartedly approve of your new footwear.

Sorry, realised after I posted it. 😳

You’ve done a fine job on yours. Mine’s just a black lump. *he wonders where he can get some Guinness foam coloured tape to make it look better* 😥

Saying that the mud hides it rather well in that picture.

KMC Z510 is pretty cheap and can be found cheaper with a little looking.

Even if you’re not gnar you might snap it.

I know a 63 year old who snapped his 9 speed chain on a SS conversion.

He was using a 22t rear as well, but his name is piston legs (albeit self titled)

This bloke is a c*** of the highest order.

Tell the police, you obviously can give a good description of him. If a kid was really injured then they have to do something about it.

Failing that, hopefully one of the trees he’s digging out will land on him and the dogs he walks will eat his face.

Nasty bloke, hope he gets what he deserves and it’s f***ing painful. 👿

But did have the halfords trousers.

I bought some POC VPD elbows and VPD 2.0 knees. They were tested on Saturday with 4 hour ride on my SS, so lots of pedaling in horrible mud.

The knee pads stayed put the entire time, they pinched a little but apart from that they were great. I wore them under some Howies ventile jeans to see how sweaty they got.

As for the elbow pads, they were also very good and really slim fitting. I wore them under 2 layers, a Gore windproof and my Endura Stealth, again they got sweaty but they didn’t irritate me one bit.

They’re expensive but they fit really well, are light, offer good protection and aren’t bulky at all.

They’re Maguras so they’re gong o race mechanic.

Courier is £15 and the insurance is £35, which bit steep.

Insured for £700 mind, should I insure for less?
