All secondhand bargains for me as well. I shul get rid of at least 2 but can’t bring myself to sell any of them and Mrs Eye is very understanding about my affliction.

He’d ride your granny on that course if his sponsors told him to, it’s his job after all.

Is the Liddel new one worth a spin then? Kinda went off him after Multiply, which was an awesome album IMO.

    It’s definitely worth listen. It’s more ‘Princey’/ electronic / 80’s than Mulitply.

Two weeks, and you still haven’t turned the clutch on.

Because he’s spent the time polishing it.

Nice bike by the way, wheels are too flash for my simple taste but I’d imagine they’re easy to clean.

Agree the Jackets a a bit pricey but the Shorts and jerseys are priced well, they’re no more expensive than Lusso or DHb

I’ve got some smoke lites in the loft, the seminal cross country tyre circa 1993.

Skinwalls are back in fashion I might whack them on a bike and represent.

U all fanbois or is it not over priced run of the mill stuff anymore? Poor mans Rapha?

You’re right, Howies is rubbish. What do you suggest we all wear?

I have no experience of either but I’d get the Kona.

I’ve ridden my old explosif (V Brakes and rigid forks) at CyB. Penmachno and in Epping forest with no ill effects so the modern version should be much easier to get around on.

I’m not biased but I own 2 and I’d have the new explosif as well if I could.

I’ve got two, one on my thumb another on my ankle, they’re manmade though.

@ Barn have you bought/worn them or you just going by the description. I’m tempted but they’re either small/medium or large/xl. So they might not fit well on me.

Don’t know about sizes, but have you tried BikeTart?

Or give Ibis a call in the States, they can be really helpful.

What about treating yourself to a Ti Bolt kit?

Or take it to your local hardwear shop

eyerideit, are you scared of things that are different?

    Not me,

    My wife thinks they’re silly

Personally I’d like a go on one, but don’t really see the attraction. Probably because I’ve not tried one. Hell, I didn’t have disc brakes until 3 years ago and now I can’t get enough of the buggers.

For touring they’d be a ‘nice’ way of getting around, bit like having a mobile armchair.

NOOOOOOOOO, My wife thinks they’re silly, you wouldn’t want her to think you’re sill would you?

What’s the appeal, apart from being more comfortable?

Looks like the offers gone and I was just about to buy one.

It’s been sat in my basket for the last 4 days with me wondering if I really need one.

Can you hire them from somewhere, to test?

I seriously doubt anybody in marketing could come up with that. That’s come from SRAMs Ad agency.

They’re obviously worth every penny of their retainer.

    Use the force

The above suggestions are far more sensible and legal.

Why on earth would you want to do that, apart from the obvious?

Don’t even think Euro bikes have them wrong way round, like their brakes.

Valve logo alignment is a bit off.

    Red bikes are faster.

    Seats too far forward.

I’d split it. I would be interested in the brakes but I’ve got a cheap biking holiday coming up that’s turning out to be quite uncheap.

Sorry if that’s of no help, I’m sure someone will buy it, just hang in there.

As it happens I’ve got a pair of RC31’s lying around from the Sanderson I bought. I thought they were a bit too short for the bike and swapped them for my other RC31’s I had lying around.

They can come with or without V brake mounts.

Email in profile if you’re interested

Soma, what would that Ibis in that build come in at price wise?

Not that I’ve got any money, but I can dream.

On a more affordable level, I’ve been drooling over this for a while.

I’m doing 22 at the moment and only burning about 780 max and that’s according to my garmin with HR and Cadence sensors.

I only average about 15.5 mph as it’s through central London and my average HR is about 165.
