For those of you who missed the original deal, it looks like there are new additions to the sale? (apologies if it’s just that i’d not seen them before!)

Why did you do that? I was ‘glad’ I missed out on the first offer.

Can’t believe I missed this but kind of glad I did. Well done to those who got one.

I’ve a question though, on such a high end frame why do the cables run externally?

It’s a lovely frame and whoever gets one is a lucky bugger.

    🙂

Lithion 2’s for me cheap and light, £15 each. I commute on them as well and they’re good in all weathers.

On my ride it this morning every bike box had at least 2 vehicles (taxis, vans and buses) partially of fully inside them.

Hopefully the money generated will go to improving cycling in London I’m all for it.

The other main problem with road makings in heavy traffic is they get painted on the actual road

Most people driving who do this drive for a/as part of their living, they know they’re there but choose to ignore them. So they deserve a fine as far as I’m concerned.

    Amber light means accelerate.

True, they only stop when the other side’s on green.

Ti bolts throughout will shave off a few grams.

Get rid of the heavy forks and uppy-downy.

Or get some more flattering scales.

    OR as dingabell said

    Stop moaning….It’s bloody lovely!

CRC had the 2ply DHF 2.5 super tacky for £37.

440mm is about the same AtoC as 100mm forks, think 470mm would be better as the bikes looks to be designed around a 140mm fork.

But don’t quote me on that.

I have a feeling that ‘MBR’ is the easiest/shortest red trail

    MBR is a 18K Black

Temtiwr is the shortest red trail at 8.5K

CyB is well worth a visit.

Make sure you do Pink Heffer and Dreamtime for some good old fashioned singletrack loveliness.

@ JY are they flappy or slim fitting on the slender legged amongst us?

Forgot to mention I’ve got chicken legs and bought them when they were on sale with a £10 off at crc so they were about £80.

    Good for me huh? 😀

POC VPD are very slim and offer good protection.

I can them under normal slim fitting shorts and the elbows slide through the sleeves of my Endura Flyte.

But you have to be minted to buy some, apparently.

Eyerideit – is that Brokeback Mountain for roadies? Even has cowboy hats.

It’s American Flyers, there’s no man love just a good old fashioned bro-mance but don’t let that put you off. It’s just Kev at his best (so pretty rubbish). If you’re really really really bored, you might just enjoy it.

I got the Enduro bundle has it all, 50K UK OS maps, HR strap and Speed Cadence. If you’re just using it for route mapping/directions you can sell on what you don’t need.

In the ‘What’s in the box’ tab if lists what’s in each bundle

EDITED – I checked my order on Merlin to see what package I bought

I wish, CRC was selling them off for £400 last year. Wish I bought one. 🙁

I looked the other day and there was nothing about. The Torq site sells them but at full price.

One of these for me. Looks minimal but very comfy for me, but then I’m 10.5 stone.

You may have a different experience on it.

A 10.5 mile each way London commute for me.

Do it everyday and in all weather on my trusty 98 Kona Kapu.

Takes about 50mins due to all the lights (going East to West though town).

look forward to being part of the forum!

You ‘might’ regret that statement, one day.

    Hello and welcome,

If I was you, I’d test bikes, go to bike shops / borrow your mates bikes / ask for a go on peoples bikes. Talk to people with bikes you like the look of if you see them out (don’t follow them home and do that). Join a club and have go on the bikes, they’re usually are more than happy to let you and will regale you with all the benefits of said bike as well.

That’ll be 2p please, where do I send my invoice?

    😉

There’s someone selling brand new Formula RXs in the classifieds for £150.

Worth every penny, they’re really good brakes.

Mrs Eye, the baby and the dog are all up in the Wales, so it was a weekend on wheels for me.

Yesterday 24 miles in Epping Forest, pretty much the same as Bungles experience – got soaked on the way home.

Today didn’t get up in time to go to Swinley so I went to BMX school at the local track. I was the biggest and slowest kid there. The guy running it lent me his Haro as I turned up on my MB.

2 hours later, I can pump (kind of) and now want a BMX. Looking forward to next week being down with the kidz upping my bike skillz.

Got soaked on the way home again, but it’s a small price to pay for being able to ride all weekend.

I have an Ibis Tranny which I like.

I’d give up my Soloist for one of those.

Looks like the stumpy’s sulking in the corner, knowing it won’t get ridden as much. 😥

Very neat garden, good sheddage going on and the bikes nice as well.

    Top marks all round.

I did my first tubeless set up last week. Apart from the rear not inflating until I asked on the forum for tips it was fairly straightforward.

I bought a couple of standard Maxxis 2ply tyres (not tubeless specific), Stans tape, valves and fluid. The rear wouldn’t seal after I taped it but with lots of washing up liquid on the rim it was fine. The rims are tubeless though, they’re Stans Flows.

Did 24 miles yesterday through everything that Epping has to offer and they were fine.

I’m now considering doing 2 sets of Hope/717s

Another Soloist owner here, it’s a great bike.

Get one you won’t regret it.

Or you could get a Cotic like every one else.

I say spread the love around don’t let it all go to one place.

    Brand wagon hopped upon.

    😉

    looks a bit flappy

I thought all MB gear had to be flappy as it looks coolerer in the slo-mo edits when shredding the gnar and that type of ting.

They’re the long ones for large/xl frames.

I can only run 250mm in my frame so I think it’ll be too long for my medium Mojo.

Shame, hopefully they’ll get hold of the shorter ones.

Not sure if I ‘need’ a 125mm drop as well.

Brant: Please get some 380mm/100mm or 350mm/125mm drop posts in stock and I’ll gladly part with the money.

Looks like it’s the new rubbish Swinley for me then – I’ve never been so won’t have anything to compare to.

    Thanks for the advice.

I’ll be heading out sunday morning so hopefully the trains will be quiet.

    Ok here’s my response:

    I use:

Tacx carbon paste, Comma copper ease and ‘general’ grease both from a local car shop.

Why because they’re huge tubs that will be handed down the generations no doubt. Each cost about £6.

You can also get a lithium grease as well, if you like the fancy white stuff on your bearings.

Lots of washing up liquid worked and than pumping like f*** with the floor pump worked a treat.

    Thanks for the tip.

Both tyres have 60psi in at the moment and seem to be holding fine, will let air out and ride later in the week.
