Must. not. buy a 29er frame.

This thread is not helping me from trying to stop myself buying a new frame 😀

Very nice bike you have there!

What hose lengths did yours come with slownsteady? Just had a punt on these and wondering what size they will turn up with? Also did they supply any extra barbs/olives for cutting down?

I had some in the cart too..! I was going to buy a set for my other bike as I was impressed with the first set I had.

Agree with trail_rat. Find yourself a decent local indy BMW garage for diagnosis. Where are you based? If midlands I can recommend a few (Several of my friends are ex BMW dealer techs)

Ive been to Ibiza 2 or 3 times a year for about the last 8 years (I used to DJ alot but now thankfully retired from all that). I still go and stay in San An, near the harbour at this awesome little family hotel (hostel is spanish – not to be confused with back packer type thing) it only has about 20 or so rooms, very modern, owners are very friendly. There are good connections to very nice beaches from the boats on the harbour (about 7 or 8 euro return). I recommend Cala Bassa / Cala Conte / Cala Tarida for beaches. Or if you are up for a bit of a walk head for Cala Salada which is very nice.

The hotel I stay at is called Es Mitjorn (http://www.esmitjorn.com/index.php?lang=en) It has a mixed bag of guests, usually DJs travelling in for a few days to small groups and couples, Never seen any kids there. The hotel staff are friendly, reasonalby priced, modern, clean and very quiet for its location!

If you need anymore tips be sure to ask!

Also as Wallop says try and visit formentera (ferrys from Ibiza town port). The beaches there are very very nice.

tbh I think my OH would be claiming dibs on it I reckon! She steals it enough, I even built her a bike to stop her using it and that did not work. 😆

    Ouch!

Been googling about the lump tonight (I know you should not self diagnose as it usually will tell you everything is fatal haha) but from what I can work out you are right, its a trauma, aka hematoma and can take a while to go.. I’m gonna go see the doc on monday and see what he says/can give me anything for it.

Left, so not looking good eh!

No discolouration to arm or bruising showing. Did you have any meds to sort the pooled blood Hora?

I will book myself in to see my GP on monday then 😉

I always dread seeing my GP after he burnt my foot with dry ice while attempting to remove a verruca when I was a kid.. ended up in A&E 12hrs after with the worlds largest blister, that and he has a haircut like James Brown!

Time to get myself a new GP too I think 😆

My OH is away this weekend as are most of my mates. I went to cinema on my own this morning like a right loner to watch zero dark thirty (very good btw) and I am in a similar predicament this evening.

Spain gets my vote. I lived out near Murcia for a bit on the Mar Menor, wish I could go back!

Balearics would be a good choice, plenty if touristy work to get you started, also cycling very popular, maybe get some work with some of the tour riding companies once you are established out there

That could be a good option wwaswas! I will look into it, thanks.

If I was not renting and planning to move from my current location I would have a separate landline installed. But the 0845/0800 option seems like a better option for me at present

The 0845 number sounds like a better option already 😀

On walking into the cafe I was impressed how busy it was, lots of stuff out for sale, nice atmosphere… I was very disappointed with myself when I came out and everyone had gone.

I came down from brum today, got carried away in the cafe and by the time I came out the bike jumble was over. Haha!

Amazing food in the mud dock though. Went for a drive around town and was surprised how many mountain bikers there are in Bristol. Cool city, I will return for the next and actually make it to the jumble. 😀

You are lucky! My rear was 1200 and front was 850. An £11 rear bh90 hose from merlin sorted my short hose dilemma out though. And I had a spare olive and insert stashed for shortening the front. These are so easy to bleed compared to bloody avids too.

Gotta say I am quite impressed by these for £30, took them out for a cheeky test this afternoon. Plenty of power, especially stopping my 16st with 160mm rotors!

hammerite – Ive also been to Vilnius, not on a stag do though, for work. I liked it there, nice and cheap, food especially. You definitely have to watch out for organised crime a bit in former soviet states, I would say Estonia is way safer than both Latvia and Lithuania.. Tallinn is definitely safe, I have spent lots of time there as my OH is Estonian.

I had a mate once who went on a stag to Bratislava. Him and his party got locked in a strip club and had to pay there way out to thugs (glad I didn’t go on that one), also heard stories of people being tasered in Riga!

Riga isnt that cheap anymore! Been a few times recently and i have got nothing against Latvians but I really dislike Riga. I even got stuck there during the ash cloud thing that grounded all planes. If you want a good stag do I recommend Tallinn, Estonia. Lots of stag activities, bars and pretty ladies.

But the meal was cool, they hired a Pizz hut! (Yes I said pizza hut). Pretty sure I am the only person in the UK who has done a Best mans speech in a pizza hut 😆

I needed to replace a hose on my bargain CRC M486 brakes this week (BH59 – barb and olive at both side). Could not find a BH59 for love or money long enough, but found Merlin have a better range of hoses. Opted for the Deore M596 BH90 (Barb and olive at both sides) for £11 including fittings.

Did you try bump starting it? Usually don’t take to much to get started if its a dying battery, just to get you home.

My money is on dead battery/alternator
