Work Christmas meal now booked for 3rd so unfortunately I’m out! Hope it goes well.

I live close to Bath and my private van gets charged if I want to drive into the centre (I very rarely do). It has forced most of the commercial traffic onto the roads around the city centre.

I think all traffic should be banned from city centres but we don’t have a viable public transport infrastructure or cycling/walking provisions for that. You also have to factor in that people are lazy and think they have a right to drive anywhere.

@jkomo loft condensation can normally be sorted reasonably easily. As someone has mentioned, soffet and lap vents can improve it drastically.

Mine is suspended in the loft and I do not hear it. I don’t run it during the day because there is more movement in the house and condensation doesn’t seem to be a problem during the day (in my house). I found running it 24hrs made the hallway quite cold when the heating was off in deepest winter (when it was subzero outside).

I installed one a couple of years ago and am very happy with it. It virtually eliminated condensation on the windows in the morning (and associated mould).

I have mine on a timer and only run it from 8pm to 9am.

@tjagain – Having had a quick look online it seems that hep vaccinations are not mandatory but some trust’s H&S policies may demand it (I guess it could still be refused but not sure how that works within individual trusts).

    @firestarter
    – They were just given the booster as a matter of course (no anti-body testing).

@tjagain – My wife (nurse) seems to think surgeons have to have a hepatitis vaccination and have done for many years.

My cousin (also a nurse) is an ardent anti-vaxer and says she will quit her job if they are made mandatory (but she is a bit bat shit mental).

my wife and most of her colleagues are already fully vaccinated and jumped at the opportunity for their early vaccines (and have just had their boosters)

Everything about DS Audio is slow, browsing for music, loading albums etc. The Seagate mirror is lightening fast though.

My main backup is to the Synology but I have a software backup that mirrors to the Seagate and I connect to that for music streaming. The Synology seems slow for most tasks but is vital for my main backup and dual bay redundancy setup.

My son’s coach always put a max effort sprint towards the end of every ride regardless of time/distance so that you get used to doing a massive effort when tired (this excluded recovery rides!).

I have a synology 2 bay in the loft but I find music streaming frustratingly slow. I have a mirror in the garage (Seagate single NAS) and I stream from that because it is so much quicker for streaming music. both units are connected via ethernet.

The synology is great for backup and I run my CCTV through it (although you only get 2 free camera licenses as standard)

Charles McCleod for me, had my latest delivery on Wednesday. I order direct and get three as it works out the most efficient for postage costs. Slice it, wrap it and freeze it.

You don’t need an XLWB Vito to meet your requirements, an LWB, which is the middle option, would be fine.
There’s a nice one in the classifieds right now 😜

I have a LWB Vito Dualiner and love it. The rear seats flip up (either the single left one or all three together). It is very comfortable, has a very tight turning circle (being RWD). I have had it about 6 yrs and it has been very reliable, you just need to keep an eye on the body work. I have had a couple of spots of rust but treat them immediately. I would definitely buy another.

I do a lot of remote solo riding and kayaking. I ended up buying a SPOT tracker. They are not 100% because they do not work under heavy tree cover, but that is my emergency backup device now. You do need an ongoing contract but it probably works out pence per trip for me over the year.

Depending on where you are and where you plan to ride you might want to look at the low emission zones coming in next year. Manchester is proposing to bring in a £10 daily charge for vans that arent Euro6 (2016 or newer) for the whole of greater manchester so including parts of the M62 and M60 M61 afik. Other zones coming in for Sheffield, Bristol, Bath…

Bath is already up and running, extends to private vans. I cannot drive my van through Bath anymore unless I want to pay £9.

A surprisingly large amount of people on a urology ward do (or did)!

We used to regularly get banned from cycling to secondary school for being bellends but all they could do was stop us taking our bikes through the gates. We used to lock them up outside during bans because they had no control on how we got to school.

Finished it last night, enjoyed it on the whole. The dubbing reminded me of monkey at times!

One thing I didn’t get though was how none of the players noticed that all of the games were painted on the walls in order.

Mine was only when I had headphones in, there is a setting deep within Google assistant settings for turning announcements off per app when on headphones.
