BT need to sort their own house out. Terrible organisation, disorganised uncaring and disgusting customer service. I’m so glad I’m not an EE customer.

Good story,Evan,my grandad went to Burma with the raf in ww2.

My Grandad Smith also was in Burma had a Gurkha regiment with them. We don’t know a great deal more as there was some sort of controversy, We think it was something to do with an officer claiming/getting credit and awarded for a heroic act. Whether this was him or a fellow soldier we’ll never know but he never collected his medals so I guess he was pretty pi55ed about something that went on.
Grandad Wright was a Bombadier in the army but was posted onto the merchant boats as there armed protection.

Have you tried telling BT it doesn’t work?

Good luck with that. They’re the single most useless company I have ever had to deal with which says something as I’ve had dealings with the DVLA.

Ordered BT house move 3rd Dec for earliest possible date 17th line and fibre wife stayed in all day expecting an engineer to show up as any sensible person would.
phoned on day eventually got through while waiting got text telling me that it’d be connected 8th January at the address we were leaving. Many calls later and promises about getting the connection we are still not connected and it would appear we’re defiantly not getting an engineer till the 8th and connected until the 14th but now have an email telling the infinity may not be on till after this date due to a porting issue what ever a porting issue is.
    They’re an utter shower.

One thing occurred to me watching the news reports, there was footage taken through a window of the perp openly standing in full sight, for ten, fifteen seconds.
Perfect opportunity for a bloke across the street with a Barratt 50 rifle to take his head clean off. Might have saved some grief later.

Guess they would know if he had a vest and a dead mans trigger.

lemonysam Cheers I’m a complete beginner. I had a look at the second one you recommended and that’s the one that looks pretty good. There is one similar with a motor on it but I’m not sure. Probably better off spending it on the scope.

Maybe the old the were pulling to the left anyway but it happened so gradually that you didn’t notice. Fitting new tyres and effectively resetting the wear would have alerted you to a different feeling.

The car was running straight prior to the tyres being fitted.
As mentioned I’ve carried out a 4 wheel alighnment, checked the steering angle sensor which is reading correct. The car 100% has only started faulting since the tyres were fitted.

They did the same thing to my car. Replaced them and the problem went away.

They are Toyo Proxes C1S straight cut tread

Modern cars wear their tyres very differently (front to rear), I thought it wasn’t recommended to swap front to back and back to front

If i put the tyres that were on the back (originally on the front) back on to the front the car pulls the other way which is the part that’s got me stumped because the car ran perfectly straight before the two new tyres were fitted. So basically I have swaped them front to back and side to side and the steering only seems to have been effected new ones on rear steering wheel off to the left and new tyres on the front steering wheel off to the right.

Worn wishbone bushes? You jack it up swap tyres drop it back down…moves the inboard bushes you drive it pulls to one side….repeat…..repeat….repeat……they wouldn’t necessarily affect the alignment until you accelerate or brake under static pressure…my theory and suggestion of course

This is of course possible weird though how it’s move in such a way that the its allowed the steering wheel to move from left to right then back again. Guess it’s possible as the it’s been up on the ramp each time I’ve moved the wheels round.
The car has only got 27k on the clock and there isn’t any feel-able play in the suspension.
I’ll have to get it in the air again and see if anythings detached itself.

Nope. There is no difference if you change the tyres left to right only front to back. This is the puzzling thing. 8O

Run flats aren’t generally repairable wherever the damage is. If your sealant didn’t plug it do you really want to be driving round with a weakened tyre?
Oh and why buy 2 if the other is 5mm?
Unless your car is 4×4 or your not buying a spare?

Thinking of upgrading myself. I do however have an Xbox and would be interested in peoples opinion on this. Good price on the LG one.
Would be interested if anyone knows anything about refresh rates on the 4k ones as this looks pretty good for gaming sport viewing etc. Are the figures real though as at present I’ve got plasma which is getting on a bit but still has a very good refresh rate. 600 I think.

    Junkyard
they have underachieved as money has come into the game and also rans such as City and Chelsea have become rich peoples play things and overtaken them

    Sorry Junkyard but
    What a crock Of Sh!t
For years while clubs have chased to try and catch up Liverpool, Utd etc (and at no time were any of these clubs spending masses of money for their owners pleasure where they!!)Stop believing what the papers and Sky tv is brain washing you with and look at facts one of which see’s Liverpool as one of the biggest spending teams on the planet.
I suppose it’s a an easy excuse for Utd and Liverpool fans to pretend they won their trophies without spending a penny which makes them somehow so much better and have more rights than the rest of the teams in the league.

Jesus, all betting must be suspended on Chelsea FTW – citeh should’ve slaughtered united but instead scraped it, ref’s eyesight notwithstanding

We’ll see if Chelski have their traditional mid season lurch if so we’ll see how they perform under pressure.
As for todays game it’s 3 points in the bag and should have been more. The ref was diabolical moaned about for giving a peno last week then not giving one of 3 clear penos today with the one on Kun right in front of him. Then the one one Yaya that would have seen Utd down to 9 men.
Got a bit nervy towards the end but no where near as bad as the SKY pro Utd commentary would have suggested.

May only have been doing school runs social service runs. There is however a lot of issues at the moment with cars being fitted with CAN blockers which will stop mileage being added. These are readily available on ebay.

    Her: “Did you bum him?”

The Bitter End isn’t really a drinking pub these days. It used be great but they did away with the seats at the bar and tried to serve fancier food…it’s never really recovered.
There’s the Castle Bar in Market Place – if you’re there through the day most ales are £2 a pint!
The 1761 is opposite there – I like it but they have a lot of guest ales on, so it’s just luck if they’ve got what you like.
There’s also the Bush on Main Street which sells lots of the local brewery’s ales

This pretty much sums it up.
There is also the Kingfisher if you fancy Robinsons usually have Dizzy blonde and Trooper on.
Also the Belle Vue up at Papcastle a couple of miles up the road but again food pub with beer. Only been the once though.
When we moved into the area we where pretty suprised how busy it was out on a Friday and Saturday night.

I did Saturday. The display was great especially due to the faffing around the organisers had to do to get the planes in at all. Really enjoyed the Huey Iconic noise. Typhoon was awesome the Mustang display especially good bit of a wake up when he strafed the beach and the pyrotechnics went off.
    Weather was a bit poo.
I was right under the Provost when he over cooked it. Generally got the impression he’d ended the display because he’d kaked himself. It was mightly close :-)
Getting into the event was terrible got to banks north of Southport at 10.35 was gone 13.00 when I got to the beach. 4 cabins taking money. Which was obviously not enough to get the people off the road quick enough and no apparent contingency plan.
On the way out north through the nature reserve took over an hour (took me 3.5hrs to get to Silverdale Lancs) to get to the roundabout at the top because the right of was was with the traffic coming from town. Maybe it’s always like this an I did expect delays but there was not one Police person managing traffic which would have eased traffic congestion especially on the was out.

All this talk of a record breaking transfer for the Argentinian Di Maria reminds me of that other record breaking Argentine Utd signed, a great player with trophies and success throughout the world..a flop in the premier at Man U though

I thought Utd had never spend any money on transfers and it was only City.

Amazing how the press have convinced people of this. Never a jot mentioned about the spending by Utd,Arse,Chelski and the horrendous amounts spent by liverpool over the last couple of seasons.

I for one hope Utd continue to be kak

BMW:- Did the Welt. Which is free to get in. Did the plant tour (prebook the tour if your going)which was 11 euro’s and highly recommended even by the wife who isn’t really into cars we both found it really interesting,
We really enjoyed Munich. easy to get round and plenty of Beer. We used the train and the UBahn and it was really good and easy to get about. Get the day pass which covers you for the city zone including the airport.
We stayed in Motel One which was pretty cheap for City rooms rooms a tad on the small side but more than adequate for a few days clean and as much breakfast as you can eat.

The rubber section of the pulleys do have a habit of going every now and again. Usually the first sign of this occurring is if the air con belt comes off if the car has air con of course.
There isn’t a set service life on these you just replace it if it fails.

Yep got the Z2 first thought it was massive now I’ve had it a while makes everything else look dated including the Iphone. Only a few small erk’s and they are minor. The on button on the side I’m not a fan of and it’s like a bar of soap moves around all on it’s own due to the back being so shiney.
The camera and all it’s functions are brilliant. I wouldn’t swap it for anything else.

DVLA are the most unhelpful set of people to exist.
We are trying register our car from the Isle Of Man.
All we get from them is “”YOU NEED A NOVA FORM FROM HMRC” many many calls later to both HMRC and DVLA it’s like hitting your head against a brick wall.
The fact is that a vehicle from the IOM does not need a NOVA as the VAT system is part of the UK and therefore no VAT is outstanding. According to HMRC who quote paragraph and verse to the fact. The DVLA won’t accept this from another Government department and it is left to us to prove to the DVLA that this is the case!! REALLY!!
They are unhelpful, rude and don’t know what the rest of the government is doing and therefore what they’re doing..

Impressed by the hatred & anti Liverpool sentiment that has suddenly appeared on this thread…

This I believe is due to the media frenzy in favour of Liverpool who gave them the trophy weeks ago and dragged out every ex Liverpool player to lord it over us. Then the mis-informtion that only Man City have ever spent any money. Andy Carroll,Juan Sebastian Veron, louis Saurez,Rio Ferdinand etc to mention a few prove this is bias media brain washing exercise that has worked well on the weak minded masses.
