Lovely pics, had to have our cat put to sleep last night, absolutely gutting to ride home today & there was no one there to greet me asking for her tea

    Sorry to here.
We lost little Gizmo a couple of weeks ago. Very sad but we were lucky to have her for nearly 21 years.
From the day she picked us looked down and this little blue eyed bundle of fluff was sat on my boot.

What are the thermostats like on these? Electronic control? Is it possible the thermostat is faulty or the control is doing something funky and closing the stat when it should be open.

    Have they changed the thermostat?

Yes, they do, although I’ve never figured out exactly when.

Dusk would be you general loose guide.
This is probably why it was closed at 6 in November.
If your not doing a pre organised event and you doing a late evening ride as previously mentioned Park at Revlin Moss.

Yep there are gates and they generally get locked at 9ish depends on dusk time. No gates that get locked at Revlin Moss carpark.

having said that, see if JL will price match. if so i’d buy from them if you have one nearby, without a second thought

Unfortunately they dont with online only shops. Shame as I too would choose them buy from especially with the extra warranty. 150 quid is a big difference though even for the extra warranty.

Thanks for the reply. i’ve discounted Chromebook anyway due to the lack of a Sd card reader.

Any thoughts about the Dell? Are they OK to deal with direct?

So here’s another one into the mix. Assuming its worth the extra money. Has anyone any idea with this Dell one.
I like the idea of the bigger screen.

DELL also have 100 quid off the price and free delivery.

    http://m.dell.com/mt/www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15-5578-2-in-1-laptop/pd?oc=cn53801&model_id=inspiron-15-5578-2-in-1-laptop

Seems to be £150 cheaper than John Lewis if its the same.

Chromebook, should do most of what you want.

    http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/acer-chromebook-r-13-cb5-312t-2-in-1-touchscreen-silver-10153641-pdt.html

    Lots of other similar models.

Cheers they look OK but they only have a micro sd card reader. Would really prefer one with a multi card reader.

The xiaomi linked above is an interesting proposition, but I think I’d be put off due to warranty /returns complications if it were to malfunction.

And the Chinese version of Windows put me off as well.

It also depends if my eyes are bigger than my belly so to speak and whether I actually really need the 550 one or whether one of the cheaper ones will be more than adequate for my usage.
I want to use Zwift, a bit of of storage for the usual personal documents Cv and the like, Photo’s including photoshop elements, then the usual social media stuff and streaming of videos.
So whether I would be better to get the cheaper one like the Lenovo yoga at 350 and then a reasonable portable hard drive for back up.

For an extra £50, the one cletus found is well worth the extra, better processor, twice the ram and the SSD really makes day to day use feel more snappy compared to the mechanical drive in the other one.
Thanks thats intersting. SSD is one of the thing I know is better but by how much? I’m not tech savie enough.
Nit sure info on Very is correct as this is listed on John Lewis for 499 with SSD

Haven’t got the first idea about Chromebook. The one other stipulation is it has to have a card reader. Was also wondering about the Yoga from Lenovo as I can fold it better to put on a window sill while Zwifting.

stumpyjon there may be no going back

There was indeed no going back. IOM shafted well and truly by my direct manage. Something I wont go into on an open forum. Came with nice hit of training costs as a real smack in the face as well(something i wouldn’t be to upset about if it wasn’t for the circumstance)

One other question on receiving those deductions which was over half of my final salary. Should i have been taxed before or after the deductions for training?
    Cheers

Since I’ve been pushing quite hard (for me) since the turn of the year I found I felt pretty tired this last week even with rest days.
I was wondering what you guys are eating before training. Especially if like myself your trying to lose weight.
Some sort of shake, gel, a bit of malt loaf or just nowt. Don’t really like starting feeling hungry but Just wondered as I’ve never really trained this hard before.

much better than robbie williams.. hes singing karaoke with subtitles to his own songs and keeps checking the lyrics.. pissed/drugs/just cack

Robbie Williams pouting and giving the audience the bird. Thought he was generally crass enough to to turn over to BBC2 and listen to Chaka doobedoing. Nice family viewing on NYE . The Antibacterial moment was the best part haha.
Thought it was embarrassing for the BBC to have that on before the count down.

If you have to deal with the DVLA on your return don’t bother. This will suck your life force away.
We brought a car back from the Isle Of Man with us dealing with them was soul destroying.
Good luck if you do it but don’t feel obliged to buy it. Treat it as a holiday/adventure first.

Sorry for this basic question, Why can’t I view my activities? I have a list of Half a dozen including the fitness test but I can’t go into them to view any detail. Could anyone tell me if this is all the info you get or is there a way a accessing this info in more detail?

Perfectly valid question and somewhat of a flaw with current version. You either need to take a screen shot when the results pop up or link to a third party account such as Strava. You can then analyse in Strava…

Have got it linked to Strava but wasn’t sure if you could find out more info in Zwift especially about the fitness test.
At least it’s not just me going mad looking for something that isn’t there. Cheers for that info.

I use a Navigator, cos I dont like mummy bags. Its great, plenty of room, warm enough for me(if it’s chilly I take some thermals). Its a bit bulky and heavyish, but not too bad, I still manage to cart it round in a pannier for cycle camping.
If you’re anywhere near Abertillery, you can check it out if you want.

Cheers for the offer but up at the top of Cumbria so unfortunetley not round the corner.
Probably go with The Navigator will probable be mostly opened up and used as a under sheet witha duvet on top unless I’m on my own.
Have got a cheap pod one didn’t like the shiney interior was a cheap one so was a bit cool in the early hours.

I have the Capri 400 and it’s been to Scarborough for 3 days this last week. No problems at all, easy to put up and it seems to have worked fine. Only used it for this trip and another overnight job where I was on my own the only slightly awkward bit is to slot the pole in the porch at the front but when you get the knack it’s easy even solo.
Only downside for my tent is no fly mesh layer on the main door at the front and I won’t be going abroad so I won’t suffer any expansion problems in the beams with excess heat. Think the 400 would be a tad small in the living room department for more than 3 to be honest.

The kitty I grew up with never had annual anythings

So thats how you contracted cat aids :D
Downside to that is the nasty real cat aids but on a more practical not if you want to use a cattery you’ll need the certification.

We have our little Gizmo. She is doing well yearly injections and check ups due to her arthritis treatment. Cattery costs if you go away. She has a special diet due to struvite crystals forming in her bladder she did have 2 ops for this ages ago.
The dotty old sod is stone deaf and as a result noise as **** all being said we wouldn’t be without her and she will be 20 later this year.
Can you invest your time and your money? Maybe the way i read your post but you don’t sound like your all sold on the idea. Don’t be pressured into it and don’t forget they will reward you by trying to kill you
