As the others have said the defrosters are now wider and proper sizing, I have the road and Mtb version and wear a pair of merino socks with them and have lovely toasty feet now.

Yes it will be fine, I run my slx mech with a über bike 42 expander and xt cassette. As others have said, adjust the B screw

I’ve put a minion SS on the back, I live in the lakes so good draining rocky trails, I’ve done 4 rides with it on and really like it, a lot gripper than I thought and really quick rolling, I had a HR11 on before and it won’t be going back on! Going to get the 29er version for the hardtail.

Really like my defrosters, water will still get in the top of them but still keep my feet warm when wet.

I’m a joiner and use these for all day everyday use http://m.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dcd795d2-gb-18v-xr-2-0ah-li-ion-cordless-combi-drill-brushless-motor/94484 great bit of kit, interchangeable batteries for jigsaw/skilsaw etc.
These are great value http://m.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dcd776c2-gb-18v-1-3ah-li-ion-cordless-combi-drill-xr/17648 if it’s more occasional use.

I usually wait til after 6 when the traffic has calmed down a bit, we have about 3 miles of busy traffic to get through before we get to quiet country roads, I use my solar storm light on the front on the low setting on the busy lit roads but put in on the middle setting when we get to the quiet unlit roads, at least to rear flashing LEDs on the back, we normally get two 35/40 mile night rides in a week.

Same here, it’s nice not to have a 1 1/2 hour road trip in the car and 20 mins washing the bike.

I’m a joiner and kitchen fitter and would buy dewalt, I have had makita cordless drills and had problems with the batteries in drills and a cordless saw. If you can get a li-ion battery drill.

I’ve just put a high roller 11 on the front to replace the high roller, first ride with it tomorrow so I’ll let you know. The side knobs look a bit more like the minions.

I’ve been using a 27.2mm one for nearly a year with no problems, I just clean it after every ride and put a bit of oil on it and it has been great.
