Depends on the type – I always try and get something abroad (travel quite a bit), ebay can be good as well as various websites, again all depending on type.

Just picked up a gorgeous ceremonial Indian paddle in Alaska to hang on the wall.

Tend to get wall mounted items rather than ceramics.

Personally its an ok deal and is really part of the whole clearance in the air process and I would see this as a legitimate part of their service.

Def better than it ending up being held in customs awaiting payment.

As much as I love Le Cresuet stuff do not get one of their cast iron frying pans – coating is terrible.

Currently I am using a Lodge non-enabled cast iron pan which I picked up in TK-Maxx for £12 and it is honestly the best frying pan I have ever used – with the exception of not being able to cook acidic things (a trait of non-enabled cast iron).

Other than that I would suggest having a look down TK – they tend to have a lot of decent stuff at disposable prices.

I like the sound of this.. How does one go about finding a CEO’s email address? Surely it can’t be CEO@company.com?

In my experience it usually is. No reason to hide and they usually have a EA to deal with their inbox

Yeah, tend to eat out a lot and have been to a few of the Italians and they aren’t bad at all. Better than Ask/Pizza express but not as good as an authentic Italian – but a good job overall.

a weber chimney starter is probably the best bit of BBQ kit I’ve ever bought.

    I second that!

Just released that was a crap guide.

    This is what I do.
    – apply some dry rub to a chicken (simple peri peri works a treat) leave for a few hrs in the fridge
    – when 8 briquettes are ready, add some wood chips in a foil bag
    – add some beer to the moat
    – pop the tray and rack on (home made foil rack)
    – add the chicken
    – add a few more coals after 1.5hrs
    – chicken done in a total 3 hours.

Cheers ericemel it’s first trip is Friday for a camping trip. Do you need the seperate smoker or will it work another way?

Follow this :) you probably didn’t order a rack, improvise with some foil.

    Cobb ordered

Excellent! I highly recommend doing a simple smoked chicken first time around – you will see your money has been well spent! For reference I have 3 smokers and the Cobb does chicken better and easier than either of the full size ones!

If it’s got gas, it’s not a bbq.

I used one of these a while back, not the most stable but otherwise very good.

Son of Hibachi is ace if you want to pack up and leave quickly.

    That’s really a grill not a BBQ

And I’d take a flat rate of 45p a mile for 1000 miles per month gladly as ours drops to 20p per mile after 3500.

Nah the depreciation will kill you.

But longer term it can make sense some sense.

And remember you can claim back the difference from HMRC is your company doesn’t cover the statutory minimum

I have a pretty big set and would highly recommend them with the exception of the teflon coated frying pans.

Be careful on weight though – I know a number of older people who really don’t like the weight.

By central do you mean west end or city?

Workshop farringdon or Flat White in the west end are both winners
