I cannot decide if I am lucky or not, but this is the ONLY thing my wife watches.

Some very good eye candy too.

I have the Ricoh GR – fab camera with an absolute cracking sensor and lens. But would love a viewfinder.

If the weight isn’t an issue I would go pro in your situation.

Screen is way better on the pro (wife has one)

Real world the air is a lot lighter (use them at work) and the battery is epic.

I am holding out for a retina air – luckily I am in no rush. And as always find someone to get you educational discount.

Something like this looks like it would work and is so simple….

But the cheap price scares me!

I am also on the same deal as jon1973 – rated. 50mb is plenty but have the option of going up to 150mb. Tivo is decent.

I use them – very good service. 250g bag that fits though the letterbox – great customer service. Even though my nearest coffee roaster is 5 doors from my work, Pact is even easier!

Dodds – not tried anything better yet! Botanist is also very nice indeed. Huge fan of waitrose own tonic – though Fevertree and Fentimans are nice – but don’t hold their fizz as well.

It all depends on the prospects – I would pretty much expect that in the main accounting firms – but the potential is huge.

In the media world you could be expected to be a runner for less than that (or free) until you prove yourself.

its a dog eat dog world and a degree helps a lot but doesn’t mean £40k out the door.

That is rather good…How does reality compare to the readout? (Our Galaxy is 15% ish out, Touran was 10% ish out)

I would say my BMW >5% out. When I did my trip to scotland and re-filled at the other end, the mpg worked out pretty much correct

My wife has a BMW 1 series 116 Efficient Dynamics and her average mpg over 33k is 62mpg – she regularly gets over 70mpg on single trips and on fast motorway speeds with a full car to Scotland I managed 60.8mpg over 523 miles.

I am not in the slightest claiming a new BMW is a cheap option, but with 5 years free servicing and low mpg it definitely keeps variable costs low.

Mattrgee – happy to suggest some itineraries.

    What dates?
    Like Museums?
    Tourist Sites?
    Foodie?
    Shopping?
    Street Markets?
Alone or with mates or missus?

    All – thanks!

I am having a super shitty week at work and haven’t got bandwidth to research too hard – and a weekend away will do me a world of good.

No idea how much I appreciate the suggestions!

I have both a custom steel and ti. Love both of them but if I were to get another bike it would be steel. Mainly because of the long term fix-ability and using a British Builder.

I have had the steel for 8 years and the Ti for 4.

“ive had some Nudies, they were great at first but didnt stand the test of time as well as my levis or diesels have. infact one wash ruined them iirc.”

If that was the case – I know for a fact the nudie shop in london would repair or replace them for free, regardless where you bought them, even if the first was was after 6 months.

If you fancy the spendy designer ones, because you want them and can afford them, then that’s fine. Just don’t kid yourself they’ll last longer

I am definitely not suggesting typical designer – rather heritage – and yes they will last longer.

On the flip side, I agree – diesel (or even stock levi) vs gap – i would expect little difference in wear. But something well made (triple stitched inseams, double lined pockets etc etc) will, for sure.

Nobody said they were, but I still don’t see why it is important that I know all about a brand so that I can buy some jeans ?

It is certainly not essential – but there are some good reasons around environmental ethics, company choice, people choice.

Companies such as Hiut certainly make a good case to throw money some at – product aside.

Yet Diesel – from their site – I cannot find a single reason why they should have my money.

    Costco for cheap Levi’s
Tkmaxx for a good random selection of quality

or go all out and get some decent quality ones – I have a pair of Howies Selvadge that are now about 8 years old and they just look awesome still – worth every excessive penny imho.

@eric, my Mac Mini is connected to the TV 80% of the time. I just have the wireless keyboard/magic mouse next to me or on coffee table.

    Cheers

I have a mini mac server perm connected to the TV – using a keyboard, trackpad and magic wand – works really quite well.

Good luck on finding an unlimited bundle – let me know how you get on!

But still very limited radius – I am just out of service! I had looked into this :)

Looking into it – I agree a TV licence is not needed for anything but live tv – which I can live with.

Very tempting – I could save £30ish a month just going with internet (already don’t have a phone or even a phone point, but pay for a line because its cheaper….!!!)

But would accessing the telly through a mac drive crazy or not??

theres loads more than youll ever need to watch on freeview,

Oh I forgot to mention – currently not wired up with an external aerial either! I’d be fine with freeview if that were the case.

We hired a working barn for ours and did the whole thing up ourselves, had a pig roast and it was an absolute blast. Filled it up with wine from virgin wines so worked out really reasonable.

We also looked at hiring a boutique bowling alley in central London – which looked great and a whole lot cheaper than a usual venue.

Let me know if you want more details, I can also put you in touch with one of the guys at virgin for wine buying

This was my spec when I had mine built about 3 years ago, zero problems.

    Royce track 120mm rear silver
    Royce ultralight front silver
    Cadence aero black f28 28r
    Sapim cx ray silver

Loved my singlecross so much, had one built in titanium by burls.

I am another huge fan of Bromptons – actually just picked up one today for the missus on the CTW scheme.

Really well designed pieces of kit. I would say worth the full value let alone the CTW amount.

Bloody love tescos – the power they have to get the right stock in the right shops is perfect.

Basically my local petrol station (tesco) stocks the majority of the stuff I buy as I fit perfectly into my local demographic. Love it.
