We just went through the same thing. I have a stable job and my wife is a freelance designer. Despite her being employed every working day for a year they would not take her salary into consideration, the the mortgage was solely based on mine and it was touch and go as I had recently taken a company car instead of allowance!!!

    Deadmau5 santa is brilliant!

My wife made it! It was hilarious.

Then I sold it on eBay and the guy who bought it started a company making them! http://www.makemymau5.co.uk/home

Does seem a little low. I am getting 48mpg average from my 2012 120d and thats mainly crappy london city driving.

I am unsure if a 60+ is realistic….I barely get that on a 70mph motorway run and the beemer engines are a bit better than VAG usually.

I quite like Next sofas. Also John Lewis depending on Budget.

be careful of the classic *on sale* places such as DFS – often the sale price is the regular price. Not saying they are bad sofas though.

Though my wife has been looking here

Nah is a pure commuter (30 miles daily on and off road route) – just topped 6k miles on it. Not failed once.

We just ordered Black Quatrz tops – not been fitted yet, but got a fantastic price as the company had loads spare from a contract. So we got it 50% off materials and labour including full templating rather.

I have loads of le cresuet and highly rate it except the non stick cast iron frying pans, the non-stick is crap, I am on my second and won’t buy another. The rest has lasted 10 years of abuse.

I bought a sonos then sold it to try other alternatives, nothing compared. So bought a new setup.

Now have a 4 room setup – they are genius and simple. Especially with a spotify account. ZP90 into a hifi in the lounge, S5 in the bedroom (use as alarm clock too), S5 in the Kitchen and a zp120 in a cupboard feeding waterproof B&W’s in the bathroom.

All my music is running of a 5tb NAS drive in a cupboard.

Tried loads of alternatives and can’t rate sonos enough.

    What do you think?

Depends on what the job is.

Accounting and Controlling in our case.

I love the MPG I get from my diesel and love the torquey feel.

    12,000 miles, 48mpg, 0-60 7.1 sec, 185hp

That’s 48 MPG mainly city driving in London and I rag it as much as possible – I usually get 55mpg-ish on long runs. Best I have done is London to Bournemouth with a 62mpg average over 100 miles.

    very area and circumstance dependent

We just bought our first – there were 6 offers by noon on the day it came on the market and we paid asking.

I would be interested to see an updated comparison carried out on TG. They put a 3 series and an equivalent powered Mondeo around their track. Mondeo beat the 3 series.

Might be the case – but I bet you would enjoy the BMW a lot more! I know I did when I test drove them (plus A4/3, V40, Lexus hybrid, Passat, mundaneo)

And for my grade at work – the performance of the BMW was the best of the lot. 185hp, 280lb torques and CO2 of 119g – mustn’t grumble! I have been getting a tad under 50mpg for 14k miles – I chose a 120d btw (over a 3 or 5 as I mainly dart around London)

Tough one – I recently went through the same choice as you and as nice as the options were on others i couldn’t give up the driving dynamics of a BMW with Sport suspension.

Passat is a nice piece of kit though.

Been with them since I collected piggy banks and I like them alot – I see the issues my mum has had with satanader and wife has with HSBC and I feel fortunate. There have been ups and downs but overall very pleased – they have always been there from saving pennies as a kid, being a broke student to having an advantage gold account now.

I like their online and iphone banking a lot.

But I do want one of those letters!

Lovefilm has serious issues IMO. No Android app. Not supported on Linux.
Terrible streaming speed can only assume it is them as I can stream from Iplayer and the like fine with no buffering.

Another reason to go apple imho – support :)

We went into Magnet with our floor plan for our tiny london kitchen.

The guy looked at it for a bit and asked if we would like an american fridge and an island (the room isn’t even 3mx3m!)

We ended up using Schmit – possibly the best customer service I have ever had and the perfect design for the space.

Your Mainecoon should be up for the job – a friend has one, albeit bloody huge one(paws are the same size as coke can tops…) and it is up for the job, it lives down in Corwall and doesn’t back down to badgers and I have witnessed it pull bats out the air. Scary hunter.

We’ve had 2 (now sadly one) Bengal Mainecoon crosses and my sister has a bengal – amazing cats – except when they start hunting – we were being delivered on average 10 rabbits a week, and they had to jump onto a 6ft wall to get in the window!

As well as someones budgie, ducks, Koi Carp the list goes on!

    Love them…have fun :)

I disagree with Molgrips – I have yet been to one more organised or fun – there is nothing like it – its just massively insane.

Compared to 6 million British out on the lash there is virtually no trouble. Should be on every bodies bucket list.

Its a right pain to get a group organised but I did it for my Stag for 30 peeps

There really is only one place that will take bookings that big. Haus International and book 6 months+ in advance

If you want a table I highly suggest mid week as weekend are near impossible. And annoying all correspondence is by fax in German!

It will be my 5th trip this year….worth every bit of hassle!

I had infinity 75mb/10mb and loved it – you need unlimited.

I only switched as I moved and I am now *downgraded* to Virgin Cable 60mb/3mb which is still fine!
