i took my mtb a few years back, both road and mtb tyres but ended up just riding on the road. There did seem to be an extensive trail network all round the island though but couldn’t elaborate on what they’re like though, sorry.

fantastic series, completely enjoyed all 4 seasons. Charlie Brooker is a genius…..twisted i grant you but that’s what gets bums on seats….

What make was the bike and do you have relevant POP, etc?
I’m a Giant dealer and fairly often help out customers with their warranty claims when not purchased from us and happy to do so. Giant sometimes even pay us a credit if a strip/rebuild is required but this is the exception rather than the rule.

left ear done twice when i was 18, took one out pretty quick and the other a month or so later when my mother just kept giving me grief. Got both nipples, eyebrow and tongue done in my mid 20’s but all removed 2-3 years later. I’m now 43 and i’m gonna get my left ear and right side of my nose done with a view to a small-ish flesh tunnel in the ear…..grown my hair loads too, something of a mid-life crisis perhaps?

My go-to tyre of choice for anything other than summer. Great grip and longevity with a fair bit of puncture resistance……Think i managed around 6000km out of the last set. Go for the folding versions and a wide as your bike will take.

I’ve ridden the C5 and actually have a demo one if you’re local to me and fancy a ride on it?

I rode the C5 both on the road and on loose paths and thought it was exceptional…..pricey mind!

The ‘old’ R series were a tad harsh, the C-series not so but then again carbon has come a long way.

I’m based Central Scotland if you’d like a go.

If you don’t want people holding you to a higher standard than other teams, then don’t set yourself up as having one.

this pretty much sums up why they are in the doodoo

there is no smoke without fire, having said that it’s likely sky have acted within the ‘rules’ which of course are massively flawed but without doubt have been unethical in implimentation. Within the cycling family we all knew about TUE’s but to the average Joe on the street they just think ‘ Lance Armstrong’ ‘Drugs’ and ‘Cheating’ which i guess the way that the press (the same press that lauded them when winning olympic golds i may add) are reporting it…….all a bit base to be honest. 🙁

I have the rival HRD on my cross bike and i have to say they work brilliantly. Certainly a different (spongy) feel to the level compared to shimano but all good really.

probably not a spoof as clearly the income and jobs provided by the gun industry in the usa is more important than human life…..after all the government have to be seen ‘doing something’? 🙁

try nhs 101 and if that doesn’t work (it wont, they’ll likely tell you some bullshit you’re gonna die) call 999……or just make an appt. with your Doc or pop along to a&e…..not pleasant, been there! :-/

mmmmmmmm, i was given a set but weren’t suitable for my racing bike running 25’s. They look much improved compared to previous models (they were utter garbage though, right) Velcro thing is a nice idea and looks tough, general feedback is ‘better’, would use SKS raceblades myself given the choice FWIW.

the parents provide the rope, it’s up to the ‘child’ to decide what to do with it…….the longer the rope however, the more likely disaster ensues! 😀

i would say the parent is responsible for letting the child leave the house like that. My old man was a newsagent and had spare lights and provided a day-glo/reflective paper bag though.

i ‘had’ a pair and they were terrible……very interesting concept/material but just didn’t work for me.

    ……incidentally i didn’t pay for them!
