Check out rockguardz on eBay, they do carbon bash plates for a few frames that just clip on your down tube, trance is fairly common so should be able to get one, if not they’ll do you a custom one if you can get your bike to them.

    ^ beat me to it!

Both, I run hans dampf trailstar front and a 2.2 black chilli rubber queen rear, both went tubeless without any problems on flow rims, pretty similar size wise.

Feel the rubber queen rolls well but grips nicely when cornering and climbing and the HD offers a bit more grip up front, no problems with punctures or sidewalls in the peaks.

I have a pace one, been going 3 years and has a grease top up every 6 months or so, not in any danger of needing to be changed any time soon.

According to one of the guys at on one, the test bike came back with 20 psi in the tyres and set up badly which probably accounts for the review!

I’m also 5’10” and a few months back whittled the choice down to a 18″ c456 and a medium (17.5″) cotic BFe, having previously owned a simple I went with the BFe as I knew I already liked the geometry. run it with a 120-150mm rev and its happy across that range.

But to be honest I would have been happy with either frame so try and demo one or make a choice and have fun riding it.

Hi, I’ve got a pair of wheels that you can use v brakes with, both quick release and has disc mounts for future use, see my listing in the classifieds about an hour ago.

I feed my cat felix as good as it looks, comes in loads of flavours and looks like real meat, she seems to love it(been on it for 2 years)and gives her a nice glossy coat. still leave dry food out for her but she prefers meat.

you can usually pick it up for £3 for 12 pouches, seems to be constant offers on.

we’ve stayed here http://www.coedybrenin.com/ numerous times over the last 10 years, fairly basic but usually a good price and its right in the middle of the trails, so no need to pack dirty bikes in the car.

Have a set of formula the ones, running 180mm front and 160mm back and they have an incredible amount of power, not a light rider by a long way and they never overheat or fail to stop me!

I had pretty bad chain suck on my bfe, so I bought a stinger guide and mounted in so the chain runs under it an make chain suck impossible! Works a treat!

it climbed as well as any 6'' bike, not terribly quick but not a complete drag either, especially if you run a dhx 5 with propedal

the 06 is a great frame, had mine for 3 years before the left hand chainstay snapped – did give it some hammer though and I think a week downhilling in the alps was the beginning of the end! – don't know about re-inforcing it, spares are fairly common and it can be re-welded as it is usually on the original weld where it goes

Hi, I've just checked as I have a set of wotans with regular maxle and lyriks with the 360 maxle on and they both work on each other!

I have also contacted magura previously and they said it would be £50+ for them to get a replacement maxle form them

you could try using a heavier weight oil, or ride with the u-turn down which will stiffen the fork up as well, if all else fails i'm looking to swap my dual air 454 pikes for a set of pike coils if you are interested, these can be pumped up to suit any weight
