Nice bike, you’ll love it. I bought a frame on sale a year ago and have loved riding.

I built mine fairly burly with cane creek helms and Duroc 40 wheels but it still feels so light.

    Enjoy

Thank you, that sounds exactly like the kind of thing I am after

I had a chameleon with 27.5 wheels and 2.8 tyres on and it was a really comfy ride. Up to the 30 mile rides I did on it anyway.

Planned to replace it with a carbon chameleon but got a good deal on a transition throttle, which is very similar in geometry.

Would buy another chameleon without a doubt

Cheers, what did you swap to. Its replacing a bonty chupacabra so will probably be an improvement in the grip department.

Broken road is aimed squarely at bike packing, a lot of reposts it handles the trails well too. It on my list for the future. Boost is just the spacing of the rear hub/axle.

Definitely worth it to get the Reba. Wheels are heavy on the spec build but easy to drop that weight later on

The 36t one is for power chumps, the 54t star rachet is where the gains are!

@Wally how do you like it compared to the ti456? I have the ti456 evo and I’m looking to replace it with the signal

cheers, I keep looking at that and thinking I need to get my hands on a fire extinguisher to give it a go

Dt swiss 240s have more flexibility for ever changing axle standards, and are a bit lighter. Probably worth picking up a second hand set of wheels and stripping the hubs off than buying new. Really easy to service apart from the last bearing that need a special tool but they are well sealed!

Use a free tool to merge the partitions, back up first.

Pick up dog egg and make her eat it, then take a run up and ride over her repeatedly at full speed, fair game if the stupid bint is in the middle of a dedicated trail!

Not unless you love flat, dull woodland with lots of doggers around. If you do it’s probably the UKs number 1 destination!

This happened to me and it was **** horrific as my son had just had a cup of milk!!!

Took a week of vanishing the footwell carpet, fabreezing the crap out of it daily, and some powerful jellybean air freshners and a week driving round with the windows open!

It’s now either gone or I’ve got used to it and no longer notice!

Yeah I’d much rather have nothing between my head and the road/car/lamp post/rocks etc than worry about a little sweat or hypothetical wasp situation! You can have all the mad bike handling skills in the world, doesnt stop some tosser in a car running you off the road!

If it stops kids from cycling then it’s up to the parents to educate them.

Yeah I hate it when 2-3 lorries driving nose to tail block me from making progress as well, everyone else on the road should make way for me when I’m out driving!

I had a bfe and sold it for a ti 456 evo, which is by far the best hardtail I have ever owned. So much so That I rarely ride my 160mm full sus, about to sell both and get a more trail orientated full sus!

I’ve had one for nearly 3 years too, great light, can go on 2 or 3 rides without needing to charge. I pair mine with a joystick helmet light

I’d pay, just so I could rub it in the filthy ramblers faces, right before I kick em in the gunt and fart in their general director for thinking they own the peak District!

I’m size 10 too and have a pair of size 45 northwave artic shoes, I went a size up and it more or less feels bang on with thick socks, tho 44 would probably have been fine too

Yeah. £4 a spoke for a full build is pants down town! I have 1-2mm per spoke to play with based on threads showing in the hubs, I love the hubs and Spokes so may give it a go, worst case I rebuild onto the flows and sell, funds go towards new hubs or wheels, do have a set of 240s I could use instead if the i9s don’t work out

I’m thinking of getting the 38mm 650b rims as on paper they have the same ERD as 26″ flows, and since I have some rather expensive i9 torch hubs and aluminum straight pull Spokes it would be handy to be able to re use them.

Anyone done similar or forsee any issues?
